It's really just a place to sleep. I was pleased that the mattresses and sheets were very clean. Otherwise, the hospitality and especially sense of community do not exist. There are very few outlets in the room, especially if you are on the top bunk. I had to go to the kitchen to charge my phone. The top bunks also have no privacy while the bottom bunks have curtains. The terrace is not used at all, just some scattered plastic chairs so there is no real space to chill except your bed. All the photos of writing on the wall was actually about a hostel under a different name. Upon checking in, they just show you where your bunk is and that's it. No tour or mention of the lockers. It is really just a no frills place as they don't make an effort to make your stay anything more than a place to lay your body down. The breakfast is garbage. Compared to other hostels in SG in the same price, they could improve by: improving common spaces, providing eggs and juice for breakfast, providing towels, providing all beds with a place to charge devices, offering slippers since everyone has to take their shoes off, putting locks on the doors and any nice touch at all that could make people feel more at home, such as a blow dryer.

Good value for the money. The location is great close to an MRT Station, Chinatown and Clarke's Quai. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free WiFi was very fast. I had a single room which was clean.

I will start with the positives first. The staff is friendly and quite accomodating. I stayed at the triple room and the room was quite okay and clean enough. The bathroom was at first clean. Now, the negatives. There were many 50s men who stayed at the dorm and I think they are long-term residents. In my opinion, the hostel should separate between short and long term residents because I got really uncomfortable. There was a middle-aged Chinese man who kept staring at my friends and I. It got so creepy. Then, he also opened the dorm room while he lied shirtless and made a call with loud voice until it annoyed me. Then, the bathroom got dirty on my second night. Hairs in chunks were everywhere and the toilets were not flushed, so it forced me to use 3rd floor bathroom. Security is clearly doubtful here because the rooms don't have any electronic locks. The dorm room on the 4th floor doesn't even have any locks. If you only wish for a cheap room at a strategic location, then this hostel is a right choice for you.

Strategic location. Just that the staff can be more friendly and the bathroom also not very hygienic. One of the shower gel actually very smelly. The staff should always check on the toiletries.

Had an amazing stay. Clean, spacious and nice bed. Room is well air conditioned and doesn't feel too stuffy or cold at all. Toilet is clean all the time.

What an awesome place!! It's at the center of everything. Extremely clean. Friendly staff and good breakfast. The bed was comfortable. CCTV outside the rooms and at the staircase so makes you feel safe. Stayed for 5 nights last September.

Ideal location easy access malls or Chinatown. Clubs bars right on the street. Showers are so so having to get changed in the public hallway as everything inside gets wet. Time to throw out the couch in common room as one risks doing an injury sitting on it. Honestly one wouldnt pick this up if it was lying on the side of the road. Ray at reception is an absolute gem worthy of a payrise. Efficient friendly and so very patient.

It's a okey hostel, really nothing bad to say about it which is good! Nice gathering at the breakfast and extremely good location for partying and mrt. The safety lockers cost extra with deposit, local staff.

Worst experience ever. I arrived for a late checkin and they left me a key and a piece of paper saying what room I was in (paid for a solo hostel room). Upon getting to my room I noticed there was a large bed bug crawling on my pillow. I did not want to stay there after seeing this and took pictures and videos of the bug to "make sure" I would receive a refund. I also killed the bug for them (your welcome) and left it in a tissue next to my key in my room that I left unlocked. After that I immediately walked down the street to the next hotels and finally the second one I tried had a room available (only the super deluxe room was available but because it was after midnight they gave me a great discount). The next morning I went back to Beds and Dreams to get my refund, and I showed them the dead bug still in the toilet paper in my room, along with the video and pictures (that clearly showed them everything) (please find the pictures I showed them attached). The women working the front desk then said that their was no blood from the bed bug when I killed it and that it "wasn't a fresh one" whatever that means and that "normally there is blood when you crush them". She told me "I can not be certain that you did not put this bed bug there" even thought I showed her proof I stayed at the hotel down the street (Hotel Clover) and paid for a second room that night. We then realized I did not pay the full amount yet as I booked through Hostel World who only took a deposit. Beds and dreams said they would "email hostel world to try and help me get my deposit back", but this was only after they realized there was no way I would give them anything for a bed bug infested room I did not stay in the night before. Had I paid already, I do not think they would have refunded me. Still waiting to hear from hostel world on my deposit. I do not think I have ever written a review for anything before, but this was such a horrible experience I had to share with people. Whatever you do while in Singapore, DO NOT STAY AT BEDS AND DREAMS!
