Beautiful park in the heart of town, lush with greenery. Besides the well maintained park, there are featured areas such as the Balinese themed Sang Nila Utama Garden, the Raffles Garden and Fort Canning Centre which is hosting the Singapore Heritage exhibits. Worth a visit to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city

This park is truly amazing. I think I could spend several more days here just trying to see all of the unique features and exhibits. The trails were well marked and ideal for a good workout. The revised Spice Garden is a wonderful addition. Be sure to check out the park at dusk or dawn as it has a unique charm at both times of day.

Fort Canning Park is absolutely beautiful it is very clean. If everything is open, you can spend half the day there. With so much to do and see. It's also fun for the kids.

nice and educational park in the middle of city. No many people are aware or visit this place making it great if you want some calm. It is hilly so be prepared to swear a bit. A lot of historical landmarks and history about this place. You can easily spent the whole day here. Luckily there are plenty of benches, F&Bs and also eateries in Fort Canning Hotel. Some parts are still upgrading (like shelter walkways, escalators), so it will be easier to walk. National Museum is also a stone throw away if you want to pop by for some aircon and history. It is a great place to jog and there is also a fitness centre.

A relaxing walk up to the top with lots of old tall trees. Air is fresh so it is good to spend more time to relax here. There's also a bistro with beers on offer.

One of beautiful park in Singapore but unfortunately it is only for tree tunnel. This park has got lot of historical importance this also should be highlighted. Lot of waiting for clicking pictures at this tree tunnel but outcome is mind blowing. Check pictures

Very good park with tracks for walking in a lush green area. It's been a memorial since the British period. Adjacent to Singapore National Musium it's on a small hill from where one can take full rounds and see the city from a height. It's a place for family picnics. It's a good option for busk walking and taking a full round. Many old heritage trees with old structures. Not allowed to go inside the fort which is on top.

A fairly large and fascinating park to explore, don't forget to wear comfortable sports shoes or sandals for strolling. There are many steps and stairs to navigate. It's a favorite spot for children to play, with slides and playgrounds available. Bring an umbrella or raincoat when visiting during the rainy season, as there's no shelter available.

The park is huge so i only visited the famous tunnel. It’s definitely worth a visit, even a whole day at the park learning more about its history and enjoy its green beauty. Near the Fort Canning Hotel there are two cute couple swings. It is super peaceful to sit there, look at the sky, feel the breeze that passes by.

This is such a beautiful park in the heart of the city. You’ll find tourists and locals here alike. There are a number of paved trails with inclines and lots and lots of stairs! You’ll find people working out here regular. The trees provide a lot of shade and there are benches scattered about, offering the perfect stops to sit with a bagged lunch. I love coming here after picking up food from the local stalls, and sitting in some quiet with beautiful surroundings.

2/18/2024 I live in Hotel Fort Canning, the environment is very nice and friendly, fun place, nature friendly and everything fantastic. I and my husband really love the hotel and the Fort Canning Park. We took some beautiful photos and jungle on the street and beautiful swimming pool and trees hole as well. Nice experience for fun.

Beautiful location for a morning exercise. It's a nice feeling to be walking on high ground. The cannon, the old establishment and old married soldiers quarter makes the walk more interesting too as you can explore the history as you exercise. The trees block the sunlight so it is still refreshing and cool even at late morning. A must go to place for Singaporeans who exercise in the morning!

This park is huge, in actuality it's four parks connected by trails and hotels and there are numerous places to explore that will keep a family busy for the day. It's open and free everywhere, lush green and with some historical points of interest. A great park in downtown Singapore that's worth a visit especially if you're into hiking.

It's great for a walk and there are plenty of spots to take pictures. Be sure to visit the Fort Canning Tree Tunnel. The uphill is easy with escalators. Escalators are open from 7:30am to 9pm.

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Fort Canning during our recent trip to Singapore and we were blown away by this incredible historical destination. We spent around 2 hours exploring the area, but it wasn't nearly enough time to fully appreciate everything Fort Canning has to offer. We will definitely be returning in the future! First and foremost, the location of Fort Canning is simply stunning. The fort is perched atop a small hill, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding cityscape. We could see everything from the iconic Marina Bay Sands hotel to the historic buildings of the Colonial District. But the real beauty of Fort Canning lies in its rich history. This site has been used for a variety of purposes over the years, from a royal palace to a military base. Today, visitors can explore the fort's underground bunkers, cannons, and other military structures, all of which have been expertly preserved and maintained. We also had the opportunity to learn about the area's significance in Singapore's history, including its use as a trading post and its role in World War II. The Fort Canning Centre provides a wealth of information about the area's history, and we found ourselves captivated by the stories and artifacts on display. Overall, our visit to Fort Canning was one of the highlights of our trip to Singapore. If you're a history buff, or simply appreciate beautiful views and well-preserved architecture, then this is a must-visit destination. We can't wait to return and explore more of this incredible site!

Rarely can find a hill in Singapore and there’s one in the middle of the city, the Fort Canning Park. It’s good for a short walk or visit the historical building or bunker inside the park. There are also a lot of area with different themes. The IG famous tree tunnel is also located at the park, but it’s very crowded in a Sunday morning, people queue up for taking photos…..

Nice park with a lot of opportunities to learn about history. Although the Fort is not really look like a large Fort in Malacca, one is still able to see the cannons, hiding places etc. There are spice garden to learn about different type of plants that we use in our daily life. So it is a good learning experience about history and plants over here.

Highly recommended. Who knew a relatively small hilltop park in the city could house so much from art sculptures to historical landmarks, a real lighthouse, a 19th century Cannon, IG worthy spots, Tombstones, many a Spice Garden, I could go on and on. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekday late afternoon outing.

Always a nice break from the city. Fort Canning is a park right in the middle of everything, but is still always very quiet. Good place for a stroll or picnic. Not the most child friendly, though there's a playground at the corner. Lots of hills to climb for those who are pushing strollers. Nice place to go, but bring enough water

Entry : Free This is a really nice park to have some good time with family or loved one. The only thing to remember before visiting this place is this place has lot of stairs to climb on and the structure of the park includes downhill, uphill roads. This place is really beautiful and picturesque.

Beautiful park in downtown Singapore! Raffles collected a variety of different plants in his garden so it was quite enjoyable seeing them! The big park in the middle it blocked off unfortunately with barbed wire. We walked through the museum there as well with Singapore history and old artifacts. The park is very well maintained and the spice garden is pretty as well!

A spot of nature right in the heart of the city - within walking distance from both Clarke quay and city hall. My favourite structure is and will always be this split pillar entrance. Not too sure exactly where it’s located but this whole area gives off a nice Bali-style vibe.

Nice place to chill especially on a weekday afternoon. Just make sure you are not there on a "high tide" as the nearest restrooms are quite a walk away. But overall, a nice place to have a picnic by the park. There are a few gazebos for wet weather conditions. A good place to know about greenery at the spice garden apart from the historic place that it already is.

*One of the best park in Singapore* Fort Canning park is located near the city central 10 minutes from Bencooleen MRT. The park is well maintained, lush-green, bird-chirping around. The perfect park for a nice walk/jog/run. The park has historical significance, and signage at different section to explain about each structure. There are different indigenous trees around the park, the description for some could be found along the way. The park also has an adjoining hotel property- Fort Canning Hotel. Visit the park for morning run.

Perfect embodiment of Singapore. A park with some history of Singapore. A park that has escalators. A park that is super child friendly. A park that is highly commercialized. You can easily spend half a day here. Exploring the various elements of the park. Near the edge of the park there’s also a walk path leading to the famous IG photo spot (spiral staircase)

Nice park overall, be careful of mosquito bites while relaxing. It goes swing chairs around the park are available, which I think is neat. Maps and guide poles are everywhere along the path that helps you with direction. The park has different entrances around which it is accessible. There are many heritage trees with the sign telling you its story. Look closely for signs and historical buildings as there may be some history lessons.

Nice big park within walking distance to shopping centres. The Instagram tunnel is not as spectacular in real life as in photos, all the photos are the result of clever camera angles. Most places are better in person than in photos, for the tunnel the reverse is true.

I really enjoyed the park! It's a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. I made the mistake of entering through the stairs up to Raffles Garden, there's so many of them. It's small enough to visit all of it in a few hours. Expect a line to take a picture at the tree tunnel as this is a common photo spot. If you go first to Pancur Larangan there are electric stairs that will take you all the way up to Fort Canning Centre.

Many people come to this park for this photo spot. It is beautiful and very fantasy like. It is a bit hidden so you might have to ask around to find it's location. I recall it is close to the gift shop by the entrance. There are also many pretty paths and scenery around the park, so it's perfect for a nice stroll. First time visiting the park after it was revamped some time ago. The calming peaceful feel is still there, and this park no longer give the taste of an old, under-maintained park. Definitely a meadow in the middle of the CBD, for folks to escape the crams and stress during lunchtime and after work.

Quite a mediocre park. Singapore boasts of other parks way better than this. You cannot see the lake at the middle of the park, the children's play area is too small and sad and the walk path is too plain. What's interesting though and why it gets 3 stars is the history surrounding it and how theyve brought it alive with the flags etc

There's a lot to learn here about Singapore (and Singapura) history. It seems to be one of the few central places that has been of key importance historically from a strategic military, cultural and spiritual perspective. The climbs can be quiet rough when you're walking about with a stroller or wheelchair. So be prepared: bring enough water, something to snack etc. There's a lot of trees and flowers, as well as benches tp sit down. I spotted a few squirls as well. There's a lot of signs to read about the colonial, Malay and Ming dynasty in relation to Singapore. Must visit if you want to know, and feel, what Singapore was like over 100 - 500 years ago

The children’s play area with a variety of slides, sand play areas, seesaws, swinging seats and viewing platform covered in vines and flower is a great spot to take the young ones. The weekends are very busy but sitting on the grassy slope in the shade watching them have fun is good. The rest of Fort Canning Park is a lovely area to walk around. Be aware of some steep hills and stairs, but the recently installed escalators help in some areas. Very relaxing and peaceful in places.

Took a trip with my 3 years old baby boy to the Jubilee Park Playground about 10am Sat morning. Quite a lot of families there at this time already. The area is just beside a gradual hill side of fort canning park around where the old van cleef aquarium used to be. There are varieties of facilities for kids to play and plenty of grass space to do picnick. See-saw, wooden balancing planks, slides (both long and short), net, sand pits and etc. We spend an hour plus before the sun gets too hot on the facilities to continue play. Clean-up at one of the 2 water points at both ends of the playground and we head-off via the nearest fort canning mrt station that is 5mins walking distance away. Convenient location with a small carpark next to it.

A pleasant way to discover the history of Singapore during the British colonised occupation and Japanese WWII occupation period. In town area and can just walk into a nearby shopping mall for the air-con after a hot stroll at this park.

The walking trail is comfortable for leisure walking but also quite challenging enough for running as it's almost up and down hill all the time. The ambience was quiet and peaceful, however at some points you will have to withstand funky metal rock from the construction noise punctuating the serene bird and wind song in the park. It's inevitable due to its central location. You will have to buy ticket, $20 for aldult to visit the Battlebox underground with tour guide. It took my quite some time to figure out how to get to "that specific instagramable spot" which every blog about the park has its photo embedded. That's the Tree Tunnel. Look out for it on every direction signs you see. I didnt even know what it was called at first. The Tunnel is located at the rear of the park already and along Penang Road.

This is a very serene park away from the car noises on a hill where you can learn about the history of Fort Canning. there are placards, cannons, and other artifacts all over the place and there is the Battlebox, a underground bunker you can explore. Fort Canning Park has been the exclusive address of many of Singapore's rulers and colonial leaders dating back to the 14th century when it was the site for the palatial resort of former Majapahit kings, then in colonial times became the location for the residence of colonial governors starting with Sir Stamford Raffles. Today, the staircase leading into the park from Dhoby Ghaut is most probably the most popular location for wedding photos and Instagram

Fort Canning Park is a popular spot for exercise and nature lovers, but they may not realise a covered reservoir sits on top of the hill. Fort Canning Service Reservoir was built by the British in the 1920s, on the site of the former artillery barracks and parade ground. It still supplies water to our city areas together with Pearl’s Hill Service Reservoir. Water is a vital resource for Singapore. Climate change may well affect the reliability of our rainfall, we must do our best to conserve water and use it responsibly. My thanks to PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency for its efforts to maintain a sustainable water supply for Singapore

Absolutely lovely park to walk in the center of older parts of Singapore. Great views of the city and beautiful well maintained park with numerous paths. Some even with escalators (they are however being refurbished December 2022). Some plants and trees have signs with information about the species. Public restrooms and playground is available. Note: The top of the hill is out of bounds for civilians and photography not allowed there.

Barely a five minute walk away from Clarke Quay MRT station, this park is an important piece of Singapore's history. There are convenient and informative signs across indicating the significance of each location in the park, as well the names of the trees and their individual histories. You can complete a full circle of the park in an hour or so, There are lovely views of the downtown buildings and Singapore river.

Beautiful park. Worth the walk. An ancient royal bathhouse is located there. I loved every minute of it. The walk though was my least favourite. Fort Canning Park holds historical significance for Singapore as it served as the British headquarters. Bunkers from that era are still present, offering a glimpse into the past. The park boasts breathtaking views, and the museum houses an impressive collection of historic items, including informative 3D maps and valuable geographical and economic knowledge resources.
