Tl;dr - nice ambience; coffee and food are average Visited on a random Monday afternoon. It’s a quiet cafe with lots of natural light and a chill vibe. Had a flat white, which was a bit too milky and masked the flavour of the coffee. The truffle mushroom and cheese toast was flavourful. The big breakfast was average. Overall, I was perhaps expecting more given the price point.

Great coffee, delicious food options such as mushroom toast and croque madame. Only downside is that portions are small. Love the iced black americano.

My favourite coffee bar whenever i visit the area. Coffee has always been consistent, and their cold brews have a fantastic nice long finish. Love it.

Decent cafe quality food, coffee is good. Good for a quick fix if you’re around the area but would not travel down specially to try them out.

Not sure what secret sauce they're using but each dish was a banger in terms of looks, taste and portions. All the food on the big breakfast set was excellent, even the bread and vegetables. The sausage was bursting with goodness and tasted divine. What's more impressive is that the prices shown were NETT, inclusive of GST and/or service charge. Props to them. The place is quite small so you might have to wait for an indoor table.

Nice and cozy breakfast and coffee place with a good variety of food to choose from. The coffee tasted very good, the avocado bread with salmon on top was delicious:) Service is hard to evaluate since it is basically self service. I felt the portion sizes a bit too small, so one "main breakfast dish" does not do the trick. Given the price point this should not be like that especially because I already ordered salmon as an add-on. Other than that I very much enjoyed the visit. Taste and comfort wise I can definitely recommend this cafe for both a cup of coffee in between and a breakfast to start the day.

Hearty breakfast. Chanced upon this cafe while walking down Rangoon road. Not disappointed. Great service and reasonable pricing. Love the peaceful ambience of this place which caters to indoor and outdoor seating. Recommended for brunch and coffee :)

It’s a small cozy space with great coffee and tasty food within such a small place. Well done to the team for putting all of this together and being consistent with what they showcase. If you are in this neighborhood, do give them a try!

First visit. Taste quite alright overall Had the lemon berries loaf cake too. Like the fine texture of the cake and berries flavours. Eggs in pasta probably need more tweaking? burger patty can be more moist, medium would be good but I wasn’t asked. Table is shaking quite badly, F3 Probably time for a new coat of paint in the cafe.

2nd cafe for the day. Went here for dessert and coffee. Seating and service were good and speedy. We ordered the bottles coffee, matcha tart, and croque Madame. Both were pretty good. The croque madame was both crisp and gooey with cheese and the egg helped it a lot. Not entirely sure about the strawberries in the salad but I guess it's about balance. All in all, a great little cafe.

Great food and delicious coffee in a small space. I'm not sure the tables could be changed or rearranged to allow more seating as the space is modest, but there was no space very soon after we arrived. Well worth a visit but you'll need to arrive early or be lucky to get a seat. The big breakfast was delicious and fairly priced, especially considering it could probably be shared by two people as a light brunch.

A small cafe that serves quite a few flavours of cold Brew coffee & tea, with small selection of cakes & pastry. It about 3 mins walk from Farrer Park MRT EXIT B. From the last time I tried the place, the pastry/cake quality has improved. There are not many indoor seatings and few outdoor seatings. Recommended

We have been thinking since long time to visit this place, and happened to visit yesterday. There is always people waiting outside and seen sometimes even before the closing time, out of stock board. This place met our expectations, food and drinks are very good and can visit few more times to try their items. We tried Cold Dark Mocha, Cold Oat Milk White Coffee, Hot Mocha, Pistachio Raspberry Bread and Almonds Croissant. All items ordered are very tasty and quality is maintained. Prices are little expensive compared to store ambience and size, however, for the good food and drinks we can visit this place. Staff is very friendly and served timely. Do visit, I recommend!!

This place has been around for awhile so I really appreciate how they manage to keep their prices affordable and portions relatively big! Coffee is on the acidic side and wasn’t my fav, but I LOVE their sourdough bread. Seats are limited inside so I sat outside, but it was still rather comfortable 🩵

A pretty simple and basic brunch food and the coffee is on a more acidic level (not my type). The atmosphere is slightly below average but good enough if you are looking to have a quick and affordable brunch.

The cold brew black coffee was a bold and refreshing pick-me-up, with its smooth, rich flavor that hit all the right notes. On the other hand, the cold brew white coffee offered a creamy, sweet twist to my usual coffee routine, making it a perfect indulgence. And let's not forget the walnut banana cake; it was a slice of heaven! The cake was moist, studded with crunchy walnuts, and had a perfect banana flavor that wasn't overly sweet. Together, these three items made for a fantastic culinary experience that I can't wait to repeat. Highly recommended!

This cafe was close to our hotel and very convenient. The menu was extensive and the food freshly prepared. We had, toasted cereal bowl with fresh fruit and yoghurt, sliced avocado on sourdough, carrot cake and a slice of lemon berry cake, plus coffees - all were reasonably priced.

The coffees are good but the food is so-so. I do think their cold brew coffee are one of the best in town. Thwre have many flavours to try which i got 5 of them to go and all tasted great. Will come back for the cold brew but not for the food.

Great coffee at a great price (Iced Long Black $4), using beans from Nylon. Pain Au Chocolat ($5.50) was a huge dissapointment though, definitely the worst that I've ever had, hardly any chocolate inside, chocolate itself tastes really cheap, similar to the CNY Coin chocolates, and the inner pastry was doughy and lacking finesse. Recommend management to change their pastry supplier and reduce prices of pastries as they're inconsistent with the relatively affordable coffee and main options.

Amazing cold brew. Their cold brew mocha is not to be missed too. Their opening hours seems to have changed to an earlier timing, closing at 1830h now. Do take note if planning an after work cuppa. Lemon cake, was great! Light with slight tanginess.

Cosy and quiet space to chill and people watch! Drinks were awesome and cakes were delightful. A pity the seating area was rather crammed and the sunlight was right in my eyes at about the 5pm timing. Nevertheless, the experience was great and service staff had great attitude! Would visit again for the coffee and tea cake!

Excellent coffee. They regularly rotate beans by Nylon and use Meiji milk. The default for the white is a single shot. This latest double shot white, made with Guatemala El Panal beans had a raisin, nutty flavour and great aftertaste. From earlier visits, the double shot using Colombia Patio Bonito beans had good aroma, balanced, fruity, slightly nutty flavour; the double shot white using El Salvador Santa Petrona beans had a fruity/nutty/tea flavour, and great aftertaste; the double shot white using El Salvador Las Palmas beans had a sustained fruity/nutty balanced flavour, medium body and great aftertaste.

Bought a total 7 bottles of coffee on 20 June morning , but didn’t check the “brew date” - that’s correct, the dates on the bottles are brew dates and the bottles are good for 5 days inclusive. I totally get it if you give me coffee brewed on 19 June, but to sneak in something made on 18 June and not informing the customer?!?! So I called and the staff explained that if I cannot consume the coffee in time I can bring it back to exchange. Nice gesture, but it would be nicer if that was explained to the customer at the point of purchase. Not sure about the brew dates on the other 3 bottles as I’ve given it to other family members. Bottom line - I suggest you label your coffee’s brew date prominently, or do inform your customers accordingly at point of purchase.

Amazing Kenyan coffee. Berry taste. Good avocado toast, but sourdough bread is not too crispy. The cafe has a calm and chilled atmosphere, so it is a nice place to work or read a book. The area is also calm, so I would recommend this place to have a calm and peaceful rest before the day activities. P.S. for the matcha latte lovers - they have a really lovely taste matcha milk in a fancy bottles. Take one before go))

overall the experience was great, fast service and very attentive staff. whereas for my food( breakfast plate) was below average, nothing really special and thought maybe I wouldn't pay $18 for a dish like this. The spices within the sausage was way overpowering and it kind of loss the original taste of the sausage itself. The sourdough was more on the crispier crust and the texture was of the soft dough kind with sufficient moisture, not really fascinating or to pinpoint at it. The portion was great but the platting of it looks kind of plain, like emptiness here and there, thought they could have tried harder to do it. The bacon croquette that was made up of potato had contained bacons which i believed did not have the taste of the bacons in it so i'm not quite sure the purpose of incorporating it in.

Cosy outlet as compared to the other one just another block down the road. All the staff are extremely friendly and I was truly welcomed there. No doubt, their normal white coffee is not just any ordinary normal cup of coffee and definitely a must must must buy to drink on the spot and also to takeaway! Don’t bother wasting time taking away to small bottles of cold brew. Just go for the big ones. You will definitely finish them way before the expiration date, I assure you (unless of course, you’re trying to cut back on sweet stuff). While I have always been drinking their coffee, I rarely tried their food. Particularly at this joint. It’s really mostly brunch/desert food at this outlet. The banana chocolate waffle surpassed my expectations on every level. Presentation was superb with the right ingredients for a delicious meal. It really is just a simple normal round waffle by default, but the way they cut and stack the quadrants gives you the impression that you have a massive meal ahead of you! The chocolate syrup was also very generous and gave the plate a very rich look. Not to forget the solid ball of ice cream nicely positioned on top of one quadrant of the waffle. The plating should go onto master chef or something. It was also topped with drops of assorted nuts (almonds, walnut, sprinkles of pistachio). Overall the meal had an excellent nice mix of juicy (chocolate), soft (banana), solid (waffle), crunchy (nuts), coldness (ice cream). Kudos to the team for preparing this! It will be one of my must-try again foods at OC.

Was in the vicinity and decided to pop into a random cafe — think I have been into this one years back. Chilled white coffee - great for those who are milk lovers. Mocha - taste different from other places but good. Lemon berries cake - a letdown; insanely dry. Can’t swallow unless taken with coffee. Won’t recommend. What other good coffee places have you been to?

Tastefully decorated little cafe in Little India. Popped in for brunch and enjoyed the small cozy atmosphere that comes with the limited seating indoors. The pour over coffee was well brewed and the granola bowl very tasty, stewed apple is definitely a must! The Croque Madame felt slightly dry, however incredibly tasty nonetheless (the vinaigrette on the salad was beautifully citrusy). The pot of Irish Breakfast tea could been slightly bigger for the price. The cafe is definitely popular and I can see why, I think we were lucky with our timing as the seating quickly filled during our stay (there is outdoor seating available too). An enjoyable experience overall.

Pretty cafe. Nice open kitchen. Had the pork bowl and the pancakes. Both were decent. The black coffee was nice and not acidic. Prices were a bit high. Interesting place to check out, but definitely not a place to visit regularly. In layman’s terms, it’s mid.

Rating: 4.5 / 5 stars 🤩 : cosy 🤧 : limited seats Dropped by after having some bagels opposite and was greeted by a full-house situation, even at 3pm! Patrons were mostly sipping coffee and the hot weather made it impossible for anyone to sit outside. Whilst the cafe was relatively spacious, seats were limited. My partner had a hot white and cold white that afternoon and it was a contrasting experience for the both of us. As the coffee produced pronounced sour notes, the hot white turned out to be more acceptable for the both of us. The frothed milk in the hot white had made the sour notes more subtle, whereas the iced white exposed it significantly. I reckon it will be a similar experience for those having espressos/americanos. Food seems to arrive relatively quickly for the tables next to us. Overall - enjoyable, just a matter of preference when it comes to coffee.

After having some disappointing coffee next door… I thought I should give Old Hen a try. Coffee is good but nothing to shout about. The brownie however is good! Am not much of a dessert/ sweet tooth person but I’m liking the brownie!

The white coffee was great, can taste the roasted taste. The kombucha is a bottled store-bought kind, was kinda disappointed.

I ve come here a few times, and I keep coming back, not as often as I'd like. I had the Mahembe filter, and it was beautifully extreacted the notes of cooked peaces, apples and carmel delighted the palet. The cortardo was creamy and delicious, highlighting the bakers choc and nuttyness of the pecans. The young baristas are doing a fabulous job please come by and enjoy the coffee

Go there for coffee and cake during weekend. Nice coffee and cake. Crowd is okay during 3pm but allow up to 1hr to use the place due to space are limited.

Coffee is alright. Service is alright. Wished they could be more personable given it's such a cosy cafe. Generous serving of avocado but a bit too salty for my liking with the pine nuts.

Went on a Monday afternoon for coffee time, at about 12pm! Staff is very welcoming and friendly! Indoor seating is limited and tables very near each other (unless you wanna sit outside in the hot weather 🥵) Purchased: • Iced White Coffee (8/10 — like another review, it’s super acidic! Don’t purchase if you don’t like) • Cold Oat Coffee in bottle (8/10 — very milky and coffee is mild. Good if you don’t like super strong coffee taste.) • Raspberry Pistachio Cake (10/10 — super soft & yummy!)

I have been patronising old hen coffee bar for years and today I am still their strong supporter. From serving coffee using glass bottles to plastic bottles today, the quality of their coffee are still good. They used to have matcha latte but nowadays I rarely seen it. The staff were super friendly and i felt happy to be back here to get a cuppa coffee whenever I passed by this area. Cheers!
