We attended the cycling workshop that teaches us on basic bike maintenance, the working mechanics of a bike and safety tips. The presenter Dicky Hamid is passionate about this topic and engaged every one at the workshop. He is articulate and has a good sense of humour to keep everyone's focus. He is also knowledgeable. He is a superb representative for Shimano.

If you are cyclist, you need to make a stop here! The best part hing there is a exhibition of some special and old bikes. It’s also possible to buy some bike parts, tools or other accessories there. Entrance is for free! It’s s fun to go there and you can combine with a nice walk around the sports arena area.

A really nice free to explore cycling museum with a wonderful hands-on experience with various bicycles to learn more about their history. Get to understand the different parts of a working bicycle, how an alternating current can be generated from the bicycle pedals and admire various vintage bikes which can bring you back to the 20th century. Advanced technology and informative corners are truly impressive. However, the place is rather small and can be a short exploration for some.

Interesting place which generously showcases vintage bicycles for free. Some of the displays of Shimano parts, etc can do with more description. I feel that the storytelling of the displays have so much potential for enhancement.

A must-see for any cyclist in the area, with cool displays and great staff. We were there for the Intro to Components and Spin Class, which is about 20mins of cadence-based intervals (good way of getting a feel for road bikes, too). Follow them on Eventbrite as the slots sell out fast!

A must go for any cycling enthusiast. It’s rather small though so you probably don’t need more than 30 minutes to go through the exhibits.

  • 4/5 Ron N. 5 years ago on Google
Very cool artifacts on display. Love the different bicycles on display throughout the space. The different gearing systems on display are also very cool. As a museum, there should be more explanation how the gearing systems work. Shame that some of the displays were not working.

Great place for cycling enthusiasts. This is a museum where it depicts the evolution of bi-cycle. There are specimens of bi-cycles from 1850's. It also has working models of cycles with a deep dive to their inner mechanisms. I happened to attend a session where they demonstrated about cycle maintenance and integritt of cycling mechanisms. Was a great session with so much insights. Wonderful session and a wonderful place. Staff here is very friendly and they were cooperative to answer queries about cycling.

open library, museum, interactive area where you can see and get your hands on various shimano products in action, as well as various other historical bikes. it’s free, not retail, they’re very patient and friendly and love bikes! met a friendly staff member named Dickie (hope i’m spelling this right) who kindly took me through the bike trainer and using cleats. they hold events too (now paused because of covid).

Small humble museum that still manages to engage you even if you are a casual cycler. The interactive videos gives a great perspective of current day competitive cycling with an emphasis in the region. Then there is the wall of books supposedly related to bicycles although I found a few interesting titles that does not seem to have direct relation. More perplexed as to their purpose in the museum. The star of the collection will be the bicycle parts that you can interact with showing how it works such as gear changes and the likes. There is also real models of bicycles across time and terrain that you can slide out of for a closer look. If you are in the area and not sure of what to do, you can easily burn an hour away even late into the evening!

It's all free to visit this place, lots of things to see/play around and very helpful, the caretakers. Unfortunately there is no internet connection when I visited there, so I couldn't see the cycling paths around the world at that time. Also, the guest registration process is quite important thing but they didn't have it yet.

  • 5/5 Adrian V. 6 years ago on Google
The curator was so friendly and helpful. And lots displays you can interact with.

  • 5/5 Laurent-Charles P. 6 years ago on Google
Awesome museum!! This place is a must-go for any bicycle enthusiast. Lots of old bicycles on display as well as interactive demo booth. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You have a clear winner when you add to this that AC is blasting in there and that the entrance is free!!

  • 5/5 John L. 7 years ago on Google
I love this place. It's open, free, and friendly. The museum content is mostly (but not exclusively) focused on Shimano. The slide-out displays of the timeline of bikes is particularly fascinating (I spent an hour on that alone!), as is their impressive collection of books and magazines. Recommended for anyone with even the slightest interest in the technical aspect of bikes.

  • 5/5 Nathan C. 6 years ago on Google
Excellent. This place rocks. Singapore only has 5 million people (who arn't even into cycling as much as people from Australia) however they have a Shimano display centre as good as this. Kudos to these guys for such a great display. If you're a cyclist or mountain biker you should come here and give your regards to the friendly staff. Also checkout the sports museum next door. Thank you Singapore!
