A lovely nature park for an early morning hike / walk. Beautiful and calming . One can hear the sound of running water from the streams in the park. There's no noise pollution and it's where you get away from the hustle and bustle of the fast paced life that we are used to in Singapore and feel one with nature again. Its a good place to exercise peacefully. There are monkeys, wild boars, squirrels, snakes and the occasional rare bird (s). The crisp / fresh / unpolluted is refreshing. Trail marks measure distance walked or run. There are bathrooms which are surprisingly cleaner 👍👍👍 than many other places and I won't get into that now. From time to time you see the occasional Large log, huts and boulders where you can sit and relax. Beautiful tall trees with thick trunks provide shade for walkers in the afternoon. There are several varieties of birds and their cooing can be heard throughout the trail. Every now and then you get to experience the refreshingly cool breeze. Quite a number of hikers, runners and other people but not too many.

One of few “must-see” places in Singapore if you’re tired of shopping malls, theme park and so on. Best of all it’s free but you must follow all rules and guidance given by the park rangers. There are a few trails to choose but the tree top one is recommended if you’re feeling adventurous. Certainly bring your own supplies, spare clothes, drinking water etc as it may get hot during the day.

Came alone for this walk, it was good, must go in good hiking shoes. Spent almost 4 hours exploring. Great view from the treetop. Bring enough water especially on hot days. Will definitely come again.

This is a great marshy park with lots of wild life and various walking paths that can give you any amount of exercise you want. There's a free car park which does get crowded on weekends but if you're patient I've always managed to park. The walking paths are laid over the ground so the grassland below is visible (and the occasional wildlife). We've seen lots of monitor lizards, monkeys, etc. Turtles and fish in the waters. Butterflies, dragonflies and the dreaded mosquitos as well. Always a welcome and very green oasis that's convenient and accessible even to the older generation. If we had any caveats, it's that the park itself is very hot - not sure if it's the humidity, the sun or the kind of walking path material. Or maybe a lack of a breeze. So lots of sunblock and wear a hat!

Lovely park set in greenery with a running water stream. We’ve been here a few times and never had mozzie problem as there’re plenty of dragonflies, fishes, etc. You get to walk on raised platform so no worry about muddy ground, even after rain. This place is definitely elderly and handicap friendly!

Nice park near McRitchie. There is a stream inside and the atmosphere is tranquil. Not so crowded compared to other nature park. There is a trail that will lead you to the McRitchie tree top walk. Kid can learn various types of plants here as well. Overall it is nice place to relax and track around.

Beautiful nature walk. We did the tree top walk. Make sure you wear proper foot wear (joggers with good grip) and be prepare for board walks with lots of stairs. I loved it eventhough we ended up doing approx 8 km return. Beware of the monkeys do not consume any food or carry food with you. They become quite viscious trying to steal your food.

It's a park a little away from the city center. You can take walks along the trails and relax by the pond or in the animal conservation areas. It's also within walking distance from the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.

One of the best hiking trails in Singapore ! The moment when you step on the entrance of Windsor Nature Park, I guarantee you will feel excited by the welcome frontages after you have parked your car for free ! You will experience the best wooden walking platform, the natural solid mud ground and level-up wooden walking platform along the way to the final destination of the hanging bridge. Beware of the hungry/naughty monkeys along the way, never expose your foods which will attract them to swarm on you out of sudden and steal from you. Avoid eating any foods along the trails otherwise you will be shocked and intimidated by them following you to find a chance to steal from you. If that happens, use a stick to frighten them or shout at them so these monkeys will know you are not welcoming them to follow you. Please do not hurt them as these monkeys just wanted to find delicious foods to eat. As long as you don't expose your food, these monkeys will not disturb you. Last but not least, REMEMBER, do not try to be kind and feed them, I guarantee it will be your nightmare ! Enjoy your hiking trip !

Great for beginners to walk, for experienced runners to run. Nice place to walk all the way to MacRitchie Reservoir. From Windsor to Tree Top Walk is very near too.

Good for morning walks or small hikes. There are many trails which are easy to take. Monkeys are pretty common but they won’t be bothering your walk. We also saw few monitor lizards on the trail. Walked on boardwalks leading to treetop and covered almost 7kms. There are quite good number of resting points and some included toilets. Toilets were clean and neat. We will be visiting this park to complete other trails.

Nice park with cute monkeys on the path. We started walking at 10 am by the trailhead and finished the hike near the Lornie road. Didn't encounter any snakes, but I am totally okay with that!

Windsor Nature Park is easily accessible to the public by Bright Hill MRT Station. The Park offers easy Boardwalks, where folks living nearby can take morning walks, as well as the popular Tree Top Walk to the Suspension bridge for a canopy aerial view of the park from above. There are also other trails for hikers to enjoy its flora and fauna. Toilet and Parking are available at the Venus Drive Entrance.

Beautiful, simple and perfect trail for beginners. Occasionally there are a couple of stoney path other are nice walking path and boardwalk which is suitable for kids. Along the way you could see monkeys and squirrels running / jumping around and birds singing. The trail also lead to the Treetop walk (MacRitchie Reservoir) but unfortunately it's close and under upgrading. Also there's a boardwalk linking to Singapore Island Club A good gateway that could lead all the way to MacRitchie Reservoir.

It's a nice place for a nature trail walk. Paths are well defined with signs guiding the way. Do wear proper shoes if you wish to enjoy your walk. Did not see any monkeys but I seen a few squirrels. 😄

Windsor Park is my favourite place for hiking. It is clean, well maintained, yet maintains its nature. Occasionally can see monkeys, boars and I once saw a sleeping python curling up on a tree branch. I could hike here again and again and never get bored of it. I miss the tree top though, which is closed

My 2nd visit here in a week... Easy free parking. Nice outing on both mornings.. Mostly walk on board-walk up to PUB Bukit Kalang Service reservoir. It's easy and straight-forward walk... The treetop walk is another matter. Before reaching, from the ranger's station, there's a very steep slope (even though it's a pave road for vehicles). Do note that it's a one-way route on the narrow treetop suspension bridge. Definitely only for able-bodied people. There must be hundreds of strenuous steps both up and down. Some pathways are rough. However, the view from the bridge is very nice and breath- taking. .. Also, note that there's NO SHORT CUTS out of the long long route. Even if one wants to cut short and turn back or get out mid-way because one is tired. My wife and I were definitely not prepared for the long walk. Her e-watch indicated 15,000 steps and my estimate is it's 7km long. We began at 9.50am and finished at 1.00pm. Aching feet and legs!! Overall, it's a very interesting and pleasant outing

Fantastic place for a family hike or to challenge yourself as an outdoor athlete. Many well-marked and well-maintained trails to choose from offering a variety of difficulty levels and distances. Although it was closed for refurbishment for quite a while, the treetop walk is now open and offers great views. Beware that it is one way, so plan accordingly if you’re driving your own vehicle. It’s not hard to get back to the other side, but you can’t just reverse your path. Lots of native wildlife to be seen. Follow the posted rules to avoid entanglements with the local primates. They are great to watch and will get very close to humans. Just be sure to not antagonize them. They are still wild animals. Highly recommended!

This is a really lovely place to visit and experience Singapore's nature. You can walk/hike along trails or boardwalks and can get some spectacular views and sightings of animals and fauna if you are quiet and lucky. We spotted a red sunda flying lemur on a tree (see pic). Best thing here is that despite being in a city, you will experience an amazing rainforest experience. Strongly recommended!

The park leads to the Treetop Walk, as well as neighbouring nature reserves. We took the 7 km walk to/fro the Treetop walk, from Venus Drive car park, and it was sufficiently interesting, with a suspension bridge, butterflies, birds, squirrels and monkeys. Best to remember to have a good breakfast ahead, and bring a bottle of water per person, a face towel due to sweating from the humidity, and an umbrella in case of rain and to ward off unwanted attention from the monkeys, etc. Also to wear good walking shoes as the terrain ranged from board walks and trails with large stones, to muddy trails after a rain and steep slopes with wooden steps. The trail could have just a couple more toadstool seats along the way, for the elderly folk. Nonetheless a very good treetop walk overall!

Beautiful trail and perfect place for nature lovers. MacRitchie Reservoir Park is one of the most under rated places in Singapore which is gaining attraction due to the renovation of the Tree top walk. This trail came as a surprise to me as well and I absolutely loved the whole experience.

We arrived nice and early on a Sunday morning and wete not surprised to see hundreds of people on the trail. Don't let the numbers worry you, the park is so big that you hardly see people whilst on the route. The up and down climbs are great for fitness enthusiasts. The reserve is beautifully maintain and its great to see the locals take pride of this beautiful place.

A walk in such nature park is easy & pleasurable. Wild creatures are always around you. However, there are hidden cameras to monitor the wildlife as well as upright walking creatures exploring the nature park. Enjoy but be mindful.

It’s one of the better trails of The Central catchment area of the four nature parks nearby. The longer trails Squirrel and Drongo trail are open and tree-too trail connected to MacRitchie Reservoir trail. Drongo is boardwalk trail on one side and reverse is a mud based trail. It’s quite serene and peaceful compared to other parks closeby.

It's a nice park with many doable trails for a younger family. You can take 15 min to 60 min. Parking is free and there's lotsa lots (but do come early). Do not recommend strollers, as there are sections which are not suitable. Shaded walkways by the high foliage. Saw couple of monkeys and squirrels. As the hike was pretty quick, we actually continued all the way to Macritchie Park. Doable with my boys.

Easy trail for families with young children. It's possible to complete the Drongo trail and Squirrel trail quickly but I would advise one to enjoy the scenery and look at the flora and fauna. It's possible to spot the Asian Glossy Starling, Greater Racket-tailed Drongo, Long-tailed macaque and Plantain Squirrel on most days. It's always nice to have a clean and spacious toilet too. Parking space is adequate.

Easily accessible via buses. A good place for a walk. Mostly untouched nature along the trails. The trails also lead to the tree top walk at McRitchie. (Temporarily closed). The only thing which could be better is to have a vending machine. I couldn't find it. Nearest convenience store is 5 min walk away (cheers at Esso).

Beautiful place but handful of things can be improved (hopefully) 1) muddy tracks, hope they can improve drainage on those flooded tracks. 2) educate those retarded/self-entitled/inconsiderate human to walk single file as most part of the tracks can accommodate 2 person jog comfortably in opposite direction. Or at least activate their basic common sense to move back into single file when seeing joggers approaching.

Brilliant treks! Choices of treks to match fitness & time. We did the Venus Loop and found ourselves in thick forest canopy with undulating but well tread path. A little unnerving as we were the first into the park and what little sunlight at early hours was block by the thick tree canopy. NOTE: The car park gate opens at 7am and shuts at 7pm. Toilet facility by the carpark. At the start, visitors will have to walk through board walks before the different treks pitted out, at busy time the board walk can be very congested with people leaving the park as well as starting their walks/run. Highly recommended for a truly untamed outdoor experience. Do stop and enjoy the horticulture too.

26 Jul 2023: Many-striped Skink...pretty common and sighted a big one this morning 06 May 2022: Sighted a beautiful Blue Malayan coral snake and a big skink. 16 Dec 2021: Trees renewal or habitat restoration in progress...Nice job! 11 Oct 2021: A place you would love to go again and again...here I’m at Windsor Nature Park again. 04 Oct 2021: It’s off the beaten track and the sound from freshwater streams with fishes are amazing. Really awesome nature walk and it would be nice if rest area with shelter could be added along the way. Saw a couple of monitor lizards, monkeys, squirrels and plenty of signage to guide us. Go at your own pace to enjoy the walk; water fountain and toilets are near to the car park.

I enjoyed the hike to the treetop walk with a friend from overseas. It took us about 2 hours in all to reach the treetop walk and hike back to the entrance at Venus Drive. We saw some interesting animals, even a monkey that snatched a lady’s plastic bag. Do NOT bring plastic bags if you don’t want an altercation with a monkey. Remember to bring water and enjoy the sights and smells of nature in Singapore.

Lovely place to hike, soak up the jungle and spot wildlife. The boardwalks make it easy and the treetop walk is really cool. You could spend a couple of hours here so I recommend bringing plenty of water and going first thing in the morning when it’s cooler - there are water stations and toilets along the way. We saw monkeys, wild boar, ruddy kingfisher, turtles and other birds and insects. And it’s free! Enjoy

Fantastic natural park. All the way to the treetop walk s about 3 Km far. My 5-years-old is so unbelievable to take this long walk with us. It s not very hot inside so you don't need to wear the sun protects. Just enjoy a joyful hiking holiday in Singapore. BTW, this natural park is much better and larger than the famous Bukit Timah Natural Park, strongly recommend!!!

A very kampung style park, equipped with easy pavement to walk on. You will get to see alot of small animals like squirrels, monkey, roosters, small fishes, etc. Don't bring any food, else the monkeys will come forward n snatch it. There are numerous wild plants and flowers. This path also lead to Tree Top Walk. You may also need to spend hours to walk from here to Macritchie Reservoir. The carpark is open from 7am to 7pm.

We took a bus to Venus Drive and started our hike from Windsor Nature Park to the TreeTop and then to MacRitchie (10.47km, 2h36m). We started at 3:45pm, although it was warm outside, once you start walking in the park, it’s quite shaded and cool. We got to the TreeTop at 4.30pm. It was beautiful and windy. It’s a must to visit! It’s not a hard hike but to get to TreeTop, it is a long uphill. I thought coming down the stairs was harder on the knees.

Relatively easy park to hike and there are 3 main trails to explore. This nature park connects to the popular TreeTop Walk located in the MacRitchie Reservoir area. Advised to start the walk from Windsor at least 1.5 hours earlier before the last entry (5pm) to TreeTop Walk as it will be roughly 2.4km away. Though variety of flora and fauna is not as diverse as other local nature parks, it was nonetheless a great experience with several interesting native plants that can be spotted alongside the trail.

Windsor Nature Park is an incredulously pretty and peaceful section of the Central Catchment (conglomerate) Nature Reserve. The aforementioned nature park consists of numerous paths, some of which lead to the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. After walking the trails, I must say that I am impressed by how well-signed the park is, despite its rather "ulu" and run-down feel. Paths are well worn, but easy to follow. The park may usually be overrun by a horde of hungry mosquitoes, but is still worth the trip. Although, do remember to pack industrial or military-grade mosquito repellent available online. Alternatively, wear long sleeves and trousers to shield your arms and legs from the constant and incessant mosquito attacks.

Real natural surroundings with lots and lots of greeneries coupled with fresh air and tranquil atmosphere. Ample parking spaces are also sighted as most cyclists congregate here for fast chitchat and discover new friend from nearby residents near Thomson Plaza

This is a good gateway to hike towards the main macritchie trail or to bukit timah nature reserve. Can try the short venus loop around 2km long before u head off. The venus loop is not as popular with visitors but it is surprisingly interesting due to its untouched character, even saw a wild rooster. There are some streams in windsor nature park too and many wildlife, there was a monitor lizard swimming in it too.

  • 5/5 Crystal K. 3 years ago on Google
At the start it’s an easy walk with wooden platforms and creeks and streams running alongside you. Monkeys are easily found at the carpark or even hovering around the trees. As you go deeper the trails become narrower and on soil without any man made structures and that’s where the fun starts. You really feel as part of the nature within the dense and unkempt forestation, as wild and raw as it can get within our city island. Glad we still kept part of our history and nature for us all to enjoy. Apparently the trail can lead to treetop walk which currently is closed. You can also hike to MacRitchie reservoir from here.

We walked in Winsor Nature Park for 1 hr & it's a nice place for kids to touch with Nature & exlpore Flora & Fauna 🌳🌿🥰 When we went there about 6 pm , the weather was cool & the relaxed ambiance of the forest was full with singing & tweeting of insects, birds, wildboars, etc. The best part of the park is little stream! Please bring your little kids here ,we are pretty sure that they will love it 😊🌳🌿

This is one of those low effort, high return nature walks for children. Short, quite flat, mostly boardwalks with some dirt trail and stone steps. Lots of little streams, fish, turtles, monkeys, squirrels, butterflies to keep everyone excited and motivated. It’s a 3km round trip from the park carpark, via Squirrel Trail, Drongo Trail, U-turn and back. Thrilled to spot monkeys, a water monitor and drongos during the walk. No wild boars this visit. Carpark gets full quickly during peak days so be prepared to wait or park at the nearby HDB carpark (700m away). Clean, airy toilets with water coolers.

  • 4/5 Jasmine K. 2 years ago on Google
Pls note that drongo trail is closed till mid dec. Its not my first time there, I decided to take my nieces there for a walk since its their holidays but the nice trail is closed. Nonetheless the kids enjoyed the trip. We managed to see wild boars, monkeys, squirrels, chickens and tons of interesting wildlife. Dont expect manicured side walks all the way, its a nature park so do expect muddy paths and all. Also, rmb yr mosquito repellants. 🤣

Nice calm green free oasis in Singapur. There's a well made boardwalk by a lake, a scenic suspension bridge and a watch tower in the forest trees. Little monkeys and other animals are living in the park.

Started the Windsor hike at around 2pm and the walk was rather warm. The hike lead to Macritchie Reservoir and the weather was much better after 330pm due to cloudy weather. After 2.5hrs we arrived back to Windsor park.

What a gorgeous place to walk, hike, enjoy the sounds of wildlife here in the city of Singapore. Who would have thought there were monkeys! They were so cute, but I was a little afraid of them. So I turned around 😂 All in all, I am so happy I went. It's a must do!

  • 5/5 Kevin M. 8 months ago on Google
Nice park with lots of wildlife. Pass through here often between MacRitchie and Bukit Timah. Nice visitors center as well.

  • 5/5 Steven N. 4 months ago on Google
Free Parking 7am to 7pm! The best place to park if hiking to Tree Top Walk. Easily 3. 5km to TTW and another 3.5km back and that takes about 1 and half hour depending on speed. Nice quiet trail unlike the main McRitchie trail normally packed with runners. The Windsor Nature Park Trail is only about 2km and super cooling as it is well shaded.
