Food is not bad . But the service of some staff is horrendous . Its like cant wait for you to walk out of the store . ( so that they can be lazy again ? Then whats the point of employing so many ? ) The tall lady service staff quite ok ( theres is only 1 tall lady service staff there so should be able to know who ) The others staffs manning the snacks station is also ok . The elderly Auntie Cashier is VERY RUDE . Wanted to pay by card . ( Understood theres additional 8% ) and already made clear its ok . She still saying dont have cash etc with an annoyed look . Very very impolite . * looking among the comments . Service seems to be a perpetual problem here . Boss should take a look why this is so . ( unless boss dont care bout the biz )

Was no customer at all when step in,, believe we are the first customer. Order deep fried yam roll and spring roll while waiting for food. The aunty attend to me claim that is fresh, fried this morning so if refried again will be hard, taste not nice. But when i about to eat found sour smell so told one of the young staff and after she smell it she throw in the bin and inform the aunty… no one ,, nobody ,, not apology at all even when i pay my bill still utter nothing at all. I’m in F&B line, understand those cut cost practice,, even if is dishonest to claim your item is fresh but at least a sincere apology will still gain some respect. Can’t imagine those ingredients behind the kitchen when spoilt did they reprocess it again before using. This will be the first and the last visit here.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Generous serving of ingredients in their under-the-radar signature porridge: peanut, cashew nut, wolfberry, mushroom, carrot, black fungus. Skip the so-so vegetarian noodles & give their porridge a try!

A while ago my father in law recommended this place, and on 1 April (no April fool's jokes here) I finally got a chance to try it. A completely vegetarian menu - plenty of vegan options - just remember to say 'no egg' to be on the safe side. I enjoyed a great veggie soup, Thai beef with veggie and a claypot beef with veggie dish (there were four of us so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share, with four portions of rice). Also tried the tempura prawns. Every was very tasty. The service was good and the atmosphere was nostalgic, like an old Chinese restaurant - with history. It is in a great location for urban adventure, next door to a Chinese temple in an interesting part of town. I would definitely return. The mock-beef was superb! (prawn dish also mock-prawns)

The restaurant door was alway opened and so the air con could not make the restaurant cool enough. The ambient was not very nice for a restaurant and the food was quite oily and taste was below average. This restaurant is a place that I won't recommend to people to try.

Vegetarian pastries are nice especially the black sesame balls. The green bean pastry (in yellow color) are da best with strong green tea aroma when you bite it!

Visited on 27/08/2022. Reached there around 2pm+ but still crowded majority 70% tables fully occupied. First time visited as wanted to try it's vegetarian food. Not much choices for ala carte menu. So try its Fried Beehoon, $6. Taste-wise yummy. Order a pot of chrysanthemum tea $2,full of chrysanthemum flower in pot. If want to add some snack have to walk to entrance there's different types of snacks display in cabinets. Have to choose n used a tong to take and queue to pay only cash payment. Tried vegetarian chicken and vegetarian sping roll,it's yummy. For mode of payment there's Paywave but if you paid by cash will not charge of GST. Overall, like the yummy food, will definitely revisit again, to try others food.

One of my family’s favourite restaurant especially my son’s. The food is great over all these years, eaten almost 30 years. The price is reasonable except lunar new year. The boss is very friendly and the Chinese male staff gives great service. Our fav will be the cold dish, shark’s fin soup and the fried bee-Hoon. The Mala is the one that is a bit expensive but really nice.

having vegan food during 九王爷诞。food is quite decent, got many type of dessert as well. Price is abit expensive 20-30% compare to nearby shop maybe due to service and nice deco inside. Can come here for vegan food after praying at the guam yim temple.

Kwan Inn Vegetarian, a Singaporean gem since the 1990s, stands out for its commitment to quality and innovation in vegetarian cuisine. Their 8 Treasures Fried Rice and Thai Style Fried Rice are culinary brimming with flavors. Try the Fried Prawn, served with a delightful Pineapple Mayonnaise dip. It's a tantalizing blend of crispy goodness and sweet tanginess, complementing their diverse menu perfectly. The menu also boasts ethical choices like Vegetarian Sharkfin Soup, comforting and guilt-free. Don't forget to end your meal on a sweet note with the Cold Lemon with Aloe Vera Dessert, a refreshing delight.

The dim sum fare consisted steam dumplings , spring rolls , yam roll and a plate of fried noodles - is horrible standard - looks like if it was prepared from factory made frozen fare Dim sum is definitely not hand made Noodles was so unappetizing I guess the former Cantonese chef or cook has gone away with old memories of this restaurant A very sub standard fare Not recommended at all

I will not recommend this restaurant as the prize is expensive and food is bland and has no flavors. We ordered fried udon, fried horfun and a mock prawn. We have feedbacked the poor food quality to the staff and really hope they will change. My mum said the horfan used to be tasty but today's visit really disappointed us.

The worst services I have ever get! Non peaked hour only one person dine in and one waiting to get her food (in fact I am the only one ordering at that time) and the staff who took my order was so impatient and unfriendly when I told her do not add 2 ingredients. And when I asked her can it be kept for next day she impatiently said "Ms! All these if you put in fridge it will not spoilt and can be eaten tomorrow!!!" And when asked for cut chilli, again was told by another staff only for dine in, no cut chilli for take out!!! Total ard $39 too little to get the staff to serve me with good attitude? I am a regular before COVID, was shocked and disappointed to see the service from bad to worst! Should not have stepped in today!! This probably will be my last visit!!!

I always try to find good vegetarian mooncake every year. This year I found Kwan Im Vegetarian Restaurant mooncake excellent. It is not expensive. There are many varieties. I mix and match durian, mix nut (salted), red bean (order wrongly), dates with walnut. All taste great. I like to praise that the durian one. The paste is like Thai durian cake, but very good durian smell and bitter sweet durian taste. I also like to praise the mix nuts is savory sesame, almond nuts, orange skin, various other nuts and spice etc I think. Best one as I try 3 mix nut this year. The red bean and dates are as good. Will buy lotus paste if still available. Sweetness is acceptable for me and my family. Would be good if less sweet for my parents as I have been looking for no sugar this year. (Swee Heng has no sugar lotus paste but has substituted). Almost finished in 2 days as per pix.

For a non-vegan, I find the food okay. However, the service needs improvement. Also, the toilet smells.

This place is crowded during festivals. The fried bee hoon is poorly cook. It just boiled the bee hoon and add sauce. Expected to be fried. The dry stuffs are not bad. The atmosphere is lòoks gloomy and the air is not that fresh. The whole place need to have a major renovation to bring out the good dinning ambience.

Restaurant famous for their mock meats. they have a counter where you can takeaway all the different kinds of mock meats which are fried. Not for those looking for a healthy vegetarian meal.
