As Israeli I'm always happy to try new Israeli food places and support them, but unfortunately this place is constantly dissapointing, from the quality of food being served to the way the food is presented. Hope for them that they will remake the menu, remove most of the options and keep few things which they can actually do well. Not recommended

14 dollars for chicken with rice + small salad. We added 6 dollars for additional chicken. The chicken was out from the fridge and reheat in the oven. The rice was heated in microwave. I found other places that offer similar menu are much more worth it. Plus the food is very oily. Refer to photo. For dining in, they also served in plastic plates and cutlery.

Used to be good, but last few visits very disappointing. Small portions, chicken that doesn't taste fresh at all and very grumpy guy, to the point of rudeness.

Very disappointed with the food and the service, originally asked for the vegan chicken kebab and was told it was "too difficult to make" the guy was fairly blunt and not very helpful at all, after setteling for the veg platter, the food was cold, grilled eggplant was ...just not grilled, pitas were a little stale just all over fairly flavourless, simple and expensive for the money

Pita and olives Fast service and good food. We came over for lunch and decided to order the pita set with humus, salad and pita. We also ordered Babaganush. The service was quick and efficient. The food was hot and fresh. It was affordable. The taste was immaculate. For the humus, we thought we were only getting one plate but instead we got 2 plates. For the pita bread, we got 4 instead of 2. That was generous of the staff. However, you should have a larger seating so more people can eat comfortably and easily. Overall, a good place.

I had their Pita Hummus and never again will I try it…… <read on> …anywhere else!! It’s really delicious and freshly made. Be it the pita or hummus; it was excellent and yummy! Can’t believe it’s tucked away in a small corner of basement opposite Cold Storage but is a great find. I am a vegetarian so can only comment on that. I have become a loyal customer!

What a disappointment! I've followed this restaurant for years, from 100am, through Suntec and now at Great World. And I couldn't be more disappointed. The food is barely edible. The chicken 'shawarma' was unrecognisable, just dried oily pulverised burnt chicken... I'm not even sure it was safe to eat. (Look at the picture and see if you can recognise chicken...) For $36 for a 'platter' there was barely enough for 1 person, the takeaway tray was less than half full. Completely flavourless and cold! Cold and dry rice, Unseasoned everything. Not even a bit of olive oil or lemon on the salad. Even their pitas are not what they used to be. I don't know if the owner changed but this is really unacceptable quality, at a premium price.

Ordered the Jerusalem Platter ($40 with delivery) wanting to try the wide variety that they offer. It was a very disappointing experience. Chicken was so dry it was inedible and filled with tons of scraps of chicken and super oily. The falafel was also inedible as it was also super dry and only tasted like oil. The pita was hot but under cooked and doughy. The salad was pointless, absolutely no taste, should add a little olive oil and salt to brighten it up with some kind of taste. The rice was bland and just acting like a filler with no flavor. Hummus and Baba was average but edible, and the grape leaves were really good! If you are in the mood for grape leaves then this is your place, otherwise don’t let yourself be disappointed. I threw away 90% of my order! Place ranks at the top of my list of worst middle eastern food experiences in my life! I wish urban bites would still deliver to river valley!

Order from this place if you want dry chicken breast, reheated straight from the fridge. I saw the traditional verticle rotisserie and ordered the chicken shawarma set. I saw him taking a container out from the fridge and put into the oven, and asked if he would be slicing my meal fresh from the rotisserie and he confirmed saying yes. He asked me to come back in 10 mins but I sense something amiss and said I'll stick around - from there he tried wasting time by wasting dishes, a lot of dishes and packing the place up, still not slicing any meat. Long story short, I waited through the whole preparation and not once he sliced any meat, even for other the customers - everything was taken out from the fridge and reheated. Checked with him again when he said my meal was ready and he argued that it was sliced beforehand. Decided to try before writing this review and indeed, it was hard and dry, and not to mention it was the cheap breast meat, not even the thigh meat that was on the rotisserie. Disappointing and deceiving, best to avoid especially if you're ordering online and don't know what's going into your food.

Horrible service and preparation - I came during the afternoon lull, and she seemed angry to have a customer. Answers were all one word. The pita was undercooked to the point of being gooey, and the falafel was far too greasy and had odd long strings of some kind of fiber inside. Avoid this place!

The falafel was oozing out oil and the pita bread was dusted with so much flour that it felt like tasting raw dough

We visited this restaurant in July 2020 and had the falafel/pita sandwich and olive rice. While the food tasted OK, the portions are too small and not at all good value for the money. Lots of other restaurants nearby that offer a filling meal for far cheaper. Moreover, for food that appeared reheated, it took around 20 mins to serve, even with low crowd during the COVID times.

Had the fallafel pita and olive rice as a side. The fallafel itself tasted okay, but overall portion size is very small, not at all worth it for the $10 they charge. The rice was just plain and tasteless. Worse, it was dry and looked like it was reheated after a full day out. The service was not very friendly, and took a long time despite lower crowd.

tucked in the corner of basement 1 of Great World City Mall is this cosy and personal pita and shawarma eatery. we were pleasantly surprised at the authentic and homemade taste of the pita and hummus. the owner/chef also made it feel like it was a homely meal prepared just for us.Pita was literally fresh out of the oven into our tummies. If you want a quick, satisfying and tasty Mediterranean meal, then look no further!

Ate their pita chicken shawarma today. Love the chicken so much, juicy and tender. Balanced serving of hummus. Hummus is rich and tasty. Bread is soft and fluffy while salad tastes as nutritious and fresh as it gets. Every dime well spent as my stomach felt extremely satisfied. Would order the roasted chicken shawarma set next time :)

We had the Falafel Set – a popular vegetarian choice that features delicious and healthy chickpeas patties – and the Shawarma Rice Salad, one of their best sellers. The fresh homemade dishes are made with premium ingredients and they are perfect for health-conscious people like myself. The dishes were so delicious that we decided to have a chat with the boss. 🍽 The boss was super friendly and he told us more about the dishes that we were eating. He started with the Shawarma Rice Salad. The basmati rice had been mixed with various other framatic spices and lightly toasted with extra virgin olive oil to accompany the mouthwatering shawarma chicken. In case you have no idea, what is shawarma chicken, it’s the chicken that is used in kebabs! Delicious! The dish also comes with a fresh Mediterranean salad that contains various soulful ingredients that is wonderful for your body like tomato, olives, parsley and cucumber. The most surprising factor of the dish is their handmade chilli. I am a person who can’t handle spicy food but their chilli was so delicious that I can’t stop having it. 🍽 As recommended, a way you can eat the Falafel Set is to cut the Pita open, put the salad, chicken/chickpea patties and Humus in. An easy and much more delightful way to tickle your taste buds. The Falafel Set is also our favourite dish among the 2 – a surprising choice considering that we love meat. The Humus, that is made of chickpeas, transported us back to our childhood where we often get these “Siau Tou Tou” in yellow packaging from the Pasar malam stores. 🍽 All in all, this was such a delightful experience for our body and soul. Thank you Pita & Olives 📷 IG: @ireviewureadsh

The Falafel with Hummus and Pita set was $16, although I agree with many users here suggesting that the portion is small, I do think that with the quality of the food, it might not be sustainable to up the portion without a significant price increase. The falafel were nicely warmed, soft and flaky, great if you're having a scratchy throat and avoiding the deep fried variety. It was nicely seasoned and the warming spices hit just the right spot. I love the olive-tomato-salad thing and wish the portion was bigger but I guess with rising food costs, I find the portion reasonable. The hummus was really smooth and lemon notes really help to cut through the spices from the falafel. Pita bread had a nice yeasty aroma and was soft and easy to stuff. My only complaint was that it was really hard to cut and portion the pita bread with plastic cutleries and plates. It kept running about. The place is also quite squeezy and warm.

We had a Chicken Shwarma Pita.. the Pita bread was soft and easy to chew unlike other hard, chewy pita breads. The hummus and chicken was so nicely flavoured. They have good veg options too!! 99.9% recommend for non veg eaters especially 👍🏼 It was truly so yummy and is absolutely amazing for a start up company to make such good food. Good luck! Xx, Leah

Jerusalem is known for its bread, and the pitas over here are the best, if not one of the best, in Singapore. I had the chicken sharwma set with Baba Ghanoujj. The pita pockets were on point, crunchy on the outside and yet fluffy and clearly separated on the inside. They're also made of wholewheat flour. The Israeli salad was on point; very well balanced with the olives. Chicken sharwma slices were very generous, not too dryand yet not too oily, and full of flavour. Baba Ghanouj (roasted blended eggplant) was average; I wished it was a little more smoky. Overalls very pleasant experience. Come here for the freshly made pitas.

Enjoyed my meals wholly and is your go-to spot for Israeli / Mediterranean cuisine :-) The owner, Aviv is a real kind soul who gave me a free plate of hummus simply because I expressed my desire to try hummus. 10/10 would recommend everyone to Pita & Olives

The best Hummus and Falafel I have tasted thus far! The Hummus is creamy and smooth with generous amount of Tahini and nice Olive oil while the Falafel is filled with Herbs at the right point. Even though I had it take-away for supper, the food was still delicious. I had Pita and Olive since 100AM days (more than 10years ago) and the Hummus never fails! Although there was once when I did a take-away during lock-down, the Shawarma was a little over-cooked which the hit and miss is common with the manpower shortage seen at f&b. But happy to have the nicely done Shawarma back again this time! The price is reasonable with the quality provided compared to restaurant prices, not forgetting that the current rental must be way more exp than 100AM days although it is only a kiosk space. A satisfied and happy customer😋

Rare food kiosk that serves good Mediterranean food. Hummus and Pita are absolutely great. The swarma chicken is not authentic, feels more like Chinese cutlets that are thick and juicy. Falafel is okay - it's baked rather than deep fried, so it's hard to expect much.

Tried their best seller chicken shawarma and it was fantastic. A perfect heart-warming dinner. Pita bread is freshly made and so soft, ingredients were very fresh, filled with lots of flavour and loved that there was hummus in there too. A lot of care went into making this one shawarma for me. Definitely coming back again when I'm next in the area. Took a photo of the dish but phone didn't save it. Oops.

I tried pita & olives' hummus two weeks ago for the first time in my life and became an instant convert! Much love for the pita and hummus! I have so far tried the chicken shawarma and falafel meals and love it. The chicken was tasty and not dry thankfully. The falafel paired nicely with the hummus. I had both meals at the bistro itself so the pita was super delicious when piping hot.

Had a take away as there were only a few small tables stuck between food counters so not particularly inviting. Ordered pitta and baba ganush. It tasted good but whether it was made fresh that morning I can’t be sure cause it looked like they were taking precooked pitta out that had been in the fridge although there were fresh dough balls on the counter.

$16 for this set is a complete ripoff. The food isn't bad, but for some falafel, tomatoes and a pita bread it's simply not worth it. The same goes for the shawerma which cost 12$ on its own separately. $34 bucks for 2 people 👎👎

Took away beef kebab pita on 26 Dec late afternoon, clean tasting decent food but place called pita & olive, no olive at all, boss why? Called on 27 Dec, guy picked up stating that the filled pita did not come with olives and people do not like olives and need to special request??? Was told that picture on website is for show but the options on website did not say to add olives, shouldn’t olives be part of salad? Mobile number seems to be personal number with child screaming at background so I did not ask further

My wife and I stopped by and shared the veggie platter. Everything tasted great. As fans of falafel we were impressed that these were not pan fried but rather oven baked. Timely and friendly service and the gracious owner really looked after use, explained all the dishes and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. We will be back! Note: The location on Google Maps is not exact: Pita & Olives is found inside the nearby L1 food court named PasarBella - that one is hard to miss with its hipster mediterranean vibe.

Very unprofessional. I ordered food from this restaurant via grab food. Was given a 1 hour wait time and when I see nothing moving on the app at the end of the hour, I called the restaurant. The person on the line (Tan K) cuts the call when I’m still talking and then messages me saying I have to call some hotline to cancel the order because they cannot accept it. They didn’t have the courtesy to call and inform me when I placed the order. Instead they act like cowards and cut the call because they are too scared to face the repercussions when I talk to them face to face. As seen from other reviews they clearly don’t have the staff to manage orders which is reflected in their shoddy service whether u eat at the resort order. There are much better options for eating-in or ordering-in Mediterranean food. Avoid at all costs!

Ordered the lamb with rice. Came with lamb (not bad at all) rice (the serving of that rice was a joke) plus salad (not too shabby) It costed me 15 bucks and frankly too expensive for the amount of food I received. Not sure if I will be back here until they fix the portions.

Walked past on a Sat evening decided to finally try the dish made famous by the Avengers movie as the pictures were attractive and the place was not crowded. No regrets! Chicken was nicely seasoned, warm n tender. Hummus was smooth and tasty. The Jerusalem salad was cool, crisp &light and a good counter to the rest of the warm dishes. But the pita bread was the star of the meal. Golden, warm, pillowy on the inside and even slightly crispy on the edges. The perfect carb to go with the chicken shawarma.
