πŸ‘ Friendly staff and excellent food. The menu is a bit smaller and more focused than when it was Salt Tapas, but the food is really good. Not a cheap place to eat but we left quite satisfied with our meal. People often mention menu, good, stars, service,

Been here several times. Delicious Australian-Mediterranean cuisine featuring high quality and fresh ingredients. Many vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu. Their set lunches at $24 are really great value. Ala carte prices for dinner can add up to abit but you get what you pay for.

Ambience is nice, wasn't too crowded even on a sat evening. Pita bread is good, probably my fav dish that we ordered. The lamb ribs were quite bad.. a huge layer of fats on top, meat was not tender at all, and the lamb had the strong gamey smell.. quite disappointing. The botanic bowl was alright, the tofu was done pretty well. Also quite a filling bowl. Overall it's okay, but for the price point was expecting a bit more.

Visited this restaurant on 13 December 2018. Straight up 5 stars here based on my first (and so far only) experience here. The Botanic sits where Salt Tapas & Bar used to be, and I was slightly bummed when I found out Salt was gone - mainly because it was a usual hangout for me and a couple of friends over some cheese, wine and oysters. But The Botanic did not disappoint either. I'm rating this place 5 stars based on service, food, atmosphere and price - granted nothing is perfect, and I would rate it 4.5 stars if there exist such options, but oh wells, round that up to 5 stars anyway. Service - my friend and I were served by a caucasian waiter. He was the kind of waiter that is friendly, meek, attentive and always very willing to help. Even though my friend and I were sat outside at a pretty 'negligible' corner, he never failed to notice us whenever we needed service. Food - we ordered 2 starters and 2 mains. Starters would be the Tuna Ceviche and the Scotch Egg, while the mains are the Grilled Sirloin and the Lamb Shoulder. I wasn't impressed by the tuna ceviche, I mean it was good, but it wasn't memorable. I was pleased with the scotch egg, but it wasn't mind blowing either. What impressed me was the main dishes - the sirloin was cooked to the right doneness (medium rare), and the sides of root vegetables complimented it well. The lamb was also very impressive, and mind you, I am always apprehensive about lamb due to how easy it is to mess up the dish with the typical pungent taste, but this one is really done well. It was a slow-cooked shoulder, so it falls off the bone easily, and while I won't exaggerate that it "melts in the mouth", it was still very tender and delicious. Atmosphere - its a nice place, but also very casual. No pressure even if you walked in with t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops, which was what I did. We sat outdoor, so inevitably there will be noise from the road, but it was a very negligible "problem" - you can always choose to sit indoor. Price - remember I said earlier I would give it 4.5 stars instead of 5 stars if I could? I'm deducting 0.5 simply because of the price. It wasn't expensive - the total sum of those 4 dishes were somewhere between $110 to $120 - but it's not exactly the price where I can go every weekend. We didn't even order any drinks and it came up to about $55-$60 per person. Nonetheless, I'd rather pay this amount and be satisfied, than to go for cheaper options and be disappointed.

Dined during weekday lunch. Set menu had a good selection of mains (the smoked ribs were delicious) and happy hour had started running. Food very good and staff professional (although not attentive enough to refill my water glass).

The food portion are sharable and have different of varieties to share if you would like to try more food. The service was good too. For alcohol lovers, can get $9 drink for their knock off hour menu

The steak was done very well, medium as ordered and very tender. The truffle fries were fried well, crunchy and not too oily. Lunch for two Inc taxes n service plus two additional sides came to $52 which was reasonable. Service was pleasant and prompt.

Very healthy and vegetarian friendly menu. Lunch set costs you 24dollars with main and side - warm water will be served on request. Food was okay - but portion is rather small. Staffs were fine but little slow to process the bill considering the place was half empty. Update: Revisited on 17th Jul Food was still okay.. And the happy hour drinks are reasonably priced. However, it’s still very slow. Took over 30mins to get side dishes and food arrived a little later even.

My friends and I were there for desserts. The service was great. They patiently recommended us which desserts to go for. The ambience is chill and nice! The desserts were plated beautifully and tasted excellent. The worry about desserts is that it would be a plate of sugar, but not at Botanic. Theirs were balanced, and you could taste the individual notes of each ingredient. Will surely be back!

We had our Valentine's day dinner here but we ordered from their ala carte menu as we preferred not to be restricted. We ate the squid ink risotto and gnocchi as mains and molten lava cake with vanilla ice-cream as our dessert. The mains were very delicious and we loved them but do not underestimate them just because the portion looks small. I felt pretty full after eating them with my wife. The molten lava cake was very decent although we ate better but it is really funny that they named it as warm chocolate in the menu. Of course the service was awesome so we had a great time there! Thumbs up! πŸ‘
