I was impressed by the quality and the taste of the food they served here. We ordered a Appetizer Platter which came with 5 dips and some flat breads. The dips were all delicious especially the hummus and the home made cheese. We also order a meat platter for 4 and all the meats were well spiced and very juicy. I especially love the kebab (both beef & lamb!). We ended with some desserts which were ok … probably I’m not familiar with desserts with saffron so not a fan 😂 The overall experience was great! Would come back again

Came back to this lovely Persian restaurant after 3-4 years to celebrate the Wife’s birthday. Last time here was for dinner, with the belly dancer floating around! This time we were seated indoors due to the afternoon heat! Last few times were seated outside by the river which is lovely in the evening. It was quite busy on a Sunday afternoon ! The food was as good as we remembered it to be. Look forward to coming back here… sooner this time :-)

Went there on Monday night, around 9pm. Was entertained by waiter in black shirt. He suggested the best menu for the 3 of us and it wasn't disappointing. We tried the tabouli salad, appetizer platter, Shabestan platter and rice. Our favourite is the appetizer platter which is highly recommended if you come here. It was a unique experience for us. The waiter really did a good job! 5 stars for ambience, food, drink, value for money and service!

We went for a family lunch. The starters along with Persian bread were excellent. In the main course there was a delicious okra in gravy, falafel wrap and grilled vegetables, accompanied by rice. Service was prompt and courteous. The atmosphere was relaxed.

Came here with friends to celebrate Christmas! Our first time trying Persian food. In my opinion the taste is good and quite similar to Indian cuisine but without the strong spices taste. Mutton is exceptionally good and the staff knows what to recommend. Great ambience too. Will recommend 👍🏻👍🏻

It's an okay Persian style restaurant. Had the lunch set. The food tasted okay and was presented fancily. It was nicely done but wasn't too spectacular. For the price, the portions could be more generous or more elaborate.

Dined here with some friends we haven’t seen in a while and it was my first visit. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They were fully aware we were busy catching up with friends and kept a respectful distance but still efficient with taking and delivering our food and drinks. Food was delicious, generous portions, they were happy for anyone to take home leftovers which were packed nicely. Staff answered our questions on what to order etc and were very helpful with suggestions. Restaurant setting is beautiful. We went midweek and early so quiet which suited us.

Appetiser was ok, the hummus was nice. Others (eggplant, cheese and spinach) were left alone by the table at some point. Duck stew was abit heavy on the lemon side. Fish skewers tasted odd, seems like a low quality fish. Nice vibe, twice during the evening there was a lady performing belly dancing. Service was alright. Probably would not return if I could help it.

Visited the restaurant for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant was spacious and nicely located beside the Singapore River. Service was good. The quantity of the main course is generous. Quality is good.

Robertson quay location. Try to sit outside for best atmosphere if dining al fresco. Nice wine selection, and delicious food prepared fresh. Like and follow for more amazing places to see and visit around the World.

The ambient was cosy and very. comfortable. The food was tasty, savoury and assumptious. The host Ying was very respectful, professional and passionate in her job. We felt like VIP the minute we enter the restaurant. We will definitely recommend our friends to visit and dine here. Thanks for being such a great host again

If you are looking for a restaurant for your function/event that serves halal food and need alcoholic beverages, Shabestan Restaurant is the place to go. It was recommended by a friend for a company dinner function and safe to say it was a great decision! The manager, Mr.Madan, prepared a 3-course menu that catered to our budget, and we were met with deliciously good food. Accommodating, friendly staff and good service, i would definitely recommend this for functions, date night out or a nice dinner with family and friends.

Classy Middle-Eastern Cuisine Restaurant Set in the idyllic Robertson Quay area, this restaurant provides good Middle Eastern food. Although the restaurant serves wine, their menu does not have any pork in it. Water is provided for free by the attentive five star service staff who would try their best to make you happy for the evening. Expect to pay circa $60 per person before taxes for dinner (including dessert) but excluding drinks which range from $8 to $20+. Outdoor dining on a cool evening is wonderful. Indoor door dining provides a classier experience. Overall a good place for a Middle-Eastern cuisine experience.

Prob the 4th or 5th time here. The food quality is extremely consistent. Would definitely recommend anyone to come! Tried the lamb polo for the first time on FRI. It's SO GOOD! The flavours of the spices meld together perfectly, the lamb was super tender... Perfection. As usual, the hummus was smooth, and perfect paired with freshly toasted Iranian bread. There was even a belly dancer going around the restaurant - not sure if it's a regular Friday night special, but was interesting.

Thank you Ronnie and the team for your hospitality.Had a splendid dinner and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We ordered the appetiser platter and mixed platter for 2. The portion's generous and we think these can feed 4 instead. So good. Will be back!

We wanted to eat something there but my favorite restaurants from 3 years ago were all gone so we had to select a restaurant. We reviewed google, and this Shabestan seemed good. We had no reservation but we were given a good table. The receptions of the hosts made you feel very welcome. We let them select some food for us. The food they choose for us was nice. Beef was tender and lamb very nice indeed. Tree pieces of meat, and a little salad and a bowl of rice... 2 beers and we paid a lot of money for that. The taste was good, but value for money... Nope..... I know prices are high these days, but this high... I think i will skip my dinner at the quays . I give 4 starts for the hospitality and taste....

Hands down the best middle eastern restaurant in Singapore. Shabestan dishes up the most delicious Persian cuisine that will have you coming back for more. Their menu caters to gluten free, vegan and vegetarians as well. Here are my favourite dishes and the list just keeps growing - Muhamara, Homemade Cheese, Hummus, Borani Esfanaj, Duck Fesenjen, Lamb Kubideh & Lamb Polo. Do ask for their wine list as they've an extensive wine selection that completes your middle eastern dining experience. Shabestan also offers islandwide delivery and their dishes travels well.

flavourful and appetising Persian food! had an enjoyable alfresco dinner by the river with a very accommodating food attendant. the dessert was delicious but the faludeh shirazi was a tad too sweet for us. maybe next time will just stick with the saffron ice cream on top of the faludeh, sooo good. will go back to try more food on the menu!

Excellent food and impeccable, friendly service from the staff who treat you like family. On the pricey side but for special occasions with family and friends who appreciate middle eastern cuisine is well worth the trip.

After 15 years, this restaurant sadly shows its age, lacking the charm and care it once might have had. Claiming to offer authentic Persian cuisine, the reality is a disappointing mix of flavors that lean more towards Indian than Persian. The kebabs, dry and tasteless, are a stark contrast to the rich flavors expected from Persian cooking. Equally disheartening is the rice – cold, undercooked, and lacking the basic essence of Persian culinary art. This establishment, once perhaps a bastion of authentic cuisine, now serves as a reminder of how far it has strayed from its original glory.

Was tasked to source a place for small group gathering. The challenge was a mixed request for vegetarian, no pork, no beef, and cozy dining place. After immeasurable search, eventually I gave Shabestan a try, and it absolutely did not fail us! Everyone was so happy and super satisfied with the dishes. Meats were perfect! Tasty, succulent, tender, flavourful, truly representing finest Persian cuisine. Every single dish that we ordered was a knockout! Falafel, Dolme, Ash & E-jow soups, Platter & Lamb Shank (both bestttt!!!). Thanks for the service team also to refrain us from placing excessive orders, we appreciated & enjoyed the warm service and hospitality so much. Kudos, Shabestan!! We’ll meet again soon 👍🏽

The food was amazing!! Highly recommend the Cold Appetizers Platter as well as the grilled Shabestan Platter. Compliments to the chefs!! Service was also top-notch. We had difficulties ordering for a group of 8 as it was the first time for some of us and we couldn’t really decide, but the recommendations given to us were fantastic. Everyone only had praise for the food and the service!! Thank you!! We will definitely be back!!

Huge compliments to the chef and the man of the match; Mr Arun. He went out of his way to ensure that the food, service and ambience was over and above the rest. He was uber helpful, attentive, warm and efficient. We had such an ace time hugely because of him. He is definitely an asset to the company. Thank you once again for having, we will definitely be back for more!

Shabestan’s Keto 3-Course Set Lunch exceeded my expectations! The variety and taste of each dish were remarkable. The flavors were both satisfying and aligned perfectly with my keto lifestyle. The ambiance added to the wonderful experience, making it a perfect spot for a healthy yet delicious meal. Highly recommend trying this if you’re a fan of flavorful, keto-friendly options!😋🥙

One of the best dining experiences in Robertson Quay. Authentic slow cooked Persian delicacies. A bit on the expensive side but no match for the quality they serve.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shabestan, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. This hidden gem of a restaurant truly transports you to the heart of Persia with its impeccable service, mouthwatering dishes, and delightful Persian tea. From the moment we stepped foot inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff at Shabestan is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, making sure every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and guide us through the menu, ensuring we made the most of our Persian feast. Speaking of the menu, it boasts an extensive selection of Persian delicacies that cater to all palates. Each dish was a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. The kebabs were succulent and grilled to perfection, while the stews were rich, hearty, and packed with aromatic spices. Every bite was a revelation, taking us on a gastronomic journey through the vibrant flavors of Iran. Now, let's talk about the Persian tea. It was an absolute highlight of the evening. Served in elegant tea pots with delicate glasses, the tea was brewed to perfection. The aroma alone was enough to transport us to a serene Persian tea house. Sipping on the fragrant, steaming tea was an exquisite experience that perfectly complemented the meal and left us feeling refreshed and content. The ambience of Shabestan is equally noteworthy. With its cozy yet elegant décor, you can't help but feel a sense of tranquility and authenticity. Whether you're looking for an intimate dinner with a loved one or a gathering with friends and family, Shabestan provides the perfect setting for any occasion. In conclusion, Shabestan Finest Persian Restaurant is a true gem in Singapore's culinary landscape. The outstanding service, tantalizing flavors, and soul-soothing Persian tea combine to create an unforgettable dining experience. If you're a fan of Persian cuisine or simply curious to explore new flavors, I highly recommend a visit to Shabestan. Trust me; you won't be disappointed.

Lovely decor and ambience for both indoor and outdoors seating! Love the lamb chops (must order!!!), lamb shank and sharing appetizer platter. Portions were great, excellent service and the chef even came around the table to checkin. First time but can't wait to be back again! Persian food at it's finest, truly! Would recommend making a reservation.

The staff friendly and helpful, the chef also asking customer how was the food, the food taste good and the portion for 1 person its big, 1 main menu can share for 2 or 3 person. Good ambience and a lot variety of menu. The location is perfect.

Located along Singapore river. Nice place to dine. The food is nice too but too pricey.

  • 4/5 Derek M. 2 years ago on Google
The décor and ambiance of the place is great and does make you feel you are in the Middle East. The service was good and the food was very flavorful. However, the price of the dishes is way too much for the quantity of food you get. I have had food similar to this in Singapore but for half the price.

Found a rare Persian restaurant and decided to give it a try. Overall taste wise is mediocre. Good place for family meals as wait staff were very warm and welcoming to large families, chatting away with the kids. Sadly though, most dishes failed to impress taste wise aside from the Kufte parsi. Liked these the best among all the dishes. Ground lamb with vege, nuts and heavily seasoned. The brown ones are tart, so appetising. Large lamb shank was tender and fell cleanly apart from the bone but lacked much seasoning and taste. Part of me wonders if it was tweaked to cater to the local palate which prefers subtle flavours and seasoning.

We enjoy a spread of 3-Course Middle-eastern set lunch for $48++ per person. 🍷And we add on 2 hours of Toi Toi Sara’s Rose free flow for $40++ per person. Here what we ordered: ❤️ Kash-E-Bademjan ❤️ Borani Esfanaj ❤️ Fish Kebab -Well marinated with special saffron sauce, it is very fresh and flavourful ❤️ Chicken Masti -Marinated with yogurt and herbs, the chicken is tender and slightly charred given it’s fragrance ❤️ Dessert -We love the ice-cream with spice and the Pistachios The wine is good, with tinge of sweetness and hinge of dryness. We really enjoy our meal in a restaurant with such a serene environment right beside Singapore River.

  • 5/5 Vikrant A. 2 years ago on Google
Food was exquisite, seating arrangement was nice and relaxing (sat outside), service was top notch. Frankly, we loved the starters (we had the pita bread and a giant platter) so much that we didn't make it to the main course. The dessert, baklava was amazing!! Great venue for business dinner, catching up with friends or taking your family out for dinner....basically everybody!

  • 5/5 Marc H. 2 years ago on Google
We went there on the recommendation of a vegetarian friend and enjoyed our meal very much. The service staff were attentive, friendly, and professional. We liked that they had good vegetarian dishes to choose from. We had the spinach starter, vegetable kebabs main, and eggplant stew main. We didn’t realize that each main comes with a portion of basmati rice and ended up with lots of carbs - which we happily did. The basmati rice was fragrant and very light.

Very quiet on Thursday afternoon. Our 1st visit, to try Persian cuisines and this restaurant has plenty of vegan & vegetarian options. Food is flavourful but quite expensive. We like the appetiser- vegetarian falafel $16 made with chickpeas. Kebab is lacking a little in grilled flavour, overall ok.

  • 5/5 Misterialoka S. 2 years ago on Google
1st visit here & was celebrating my bday. I would say the food is authentically tasty, delicious and great portions. Im used to eating it hence they hit the flavour perfectly. Loved the ambience(indoor & outdoor) & friendly staff. Just missing some persian music to groove. Highly recommend.

Great place to come in for fine dining. Best to have reservation in place. Nice quay view possible too. Good and quick service. Ordered platter for 2, falafel and hummus. More than enough for two people. Meat was well cooked. Falafel I'd say one of the best in the city and hummus tasted as it should. They are on their toes and make sure you have a good experience. Best to dine in and enjoy than to takeaway or deliver. In my opinion that is.

Hands down the best grilled chicken (as seen below) I have ever had. Very balanced seasoning, chicken was tender, and complemented by the dill and saffron rice. Staff are friendly and engaging, and know the menu well. We also tried the fresh bread with the yoghurt dips which were refreshing. Will definitely be back.

If you have come to this part of Singapore, you might be surrounded by touristic restaurants where they only sell pizza and pasta. Don't worry, this restaurant is nothing like that, it's a diamond in the rough. Brilliant service, lots of vegetarian options as well. Fantastic food, will definitely come back.

One of the best places to go to if you are looking for Persian and Mediterranean Food! Have been here on several occasions and I can say for sure that they did not change their service and food standards through the years! If you want a place that will not disappoint, this is the place to go to. Great selection of spicy and non spicy food too

Actually it was a great experience. One of the best restaurants I visited in Singapore. I highly recommend it, they serve middle eastern food with a delicious taste, the food is great, the service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly, especially Mr. Roni, Thanks for the hospitality (Note: they gave me tea as a free hospitality) I will definitely visit your restaurant again.

Food is great! We had Borani Esfanaj, Shandiz and Ghormeh Sabzi. Thats enough for two pax. We got a bit greedy and added Tekeh Masti. The dishes are really yummy. What makes it even better was the good service provided. We were given a complimentary brownie to celebrate my friend's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience at the restaurant. Chef came to each table to make sure we had good meal!
