Wanted to try this place & headed down for late lunch. They offer menu from Plank Sourdough Pizza too. The Salmon Eggs Benedict was delicious. Spanish omelette portion was big enough for two! Truly value for money at $15 & $16 respectively. Service staff were very attentive, polite & food was served very promptly. We will be back to try the pizzas 🍕!

Came here on a lovely Saturday morning around 9am and luckily it was still pretty empty because it got busy soon after! No service charge and you have to order from the counter directly. Their bakes are super enticing omg I want to try everything. We had the eggs bene with bacon, the Spanish omelette, a quiche and a mushroom tart. All were so good. We saw others ordering bagels and cream cheese. We really wanted some too but was too full. Will return to try other offerings! Especially pizza!

Poor attitude and service is atrocious. Failure to abide to safe distancing measures set forth by the government, and putting everyone in the community at risk. When the store manager was informed of the situation, she nonchalantly replied “the patrons insisted 🤷🏻‍♂️”.

Love their Quiche and salads. Cashier’s attitude can be improved as she was rather curt and unfriendly. This was also displayed when she gave instructions to the 2 young male servers. This was about 2 weeks ago when I visited. Find the service didn’t match the mission statement displayed on the feature wall. Couldn’t reconcile the cashier’s service with it.

The Pain au Levain here is one the best sourdough in Singapore up there with TBB and Providore, so are their croissants, tarts and cakes. I use air fryer to lightly toast breads for a minute and it’s the perfect balance of crisp and chewiness. I have to declare that the Multigrain Croissant is the best Croissant I have ever had. It’s my fav now. Ultimate shiok. Back again for the Spelt Sourdough loaf. It’s too dense and hard. Not for me.

A regular pizza and breakfast place for my family. Service use to be very good when they first opened, over the years we do noticed a drop in service standards. We still love the pizzas. Good that they have the pizza of the month to excite our tastes buds.

We come here sometimes for brunches or take away breads. These are probably one of the best European style bakery options in Bedok area. Unfortunately, I don't always find all the breads that soft, crispy and fresh. The advantage is the number of bread options. Their cakes are good enough. Their quiche, croissants and mushroom tarts are, unfortunately, nothing special. Coffee servings are quite generous, which is definitely a bonus. It is not always easy to get the attention of the waiters. The neighbourhood is very pleasant and it is a nice place to relax with a cup of coffee.

Went for lunch on Saturday. Staff were friendly & service was good. I chose the Spanish (I think 🤔) omelette & toast & my wife had the BC Salad with smoked salmon (pictured). Everything was pretty good, no complaints. The omelet was decent. It was a bit lacking on the chorizo & could have done with being fried off in the pan, but it was still tasty. The salad was delicious & a decent portion size. Only other thing that could be improved were the size of the glasses (they were tiny, lol). Will defo be back to try other dishes.

Used to visit nearly everyday. No longer. Had my table given away 3 times in the last month. Very random service. Those who get met at the door seem to get priority over those already queuing. Ordered food to find nowhere to sit as my table was given to someone else whilst I queued. Zero stars if I could

Excellent place for breakfast and bread lovers. The bread basket is both tasty and salivating for me, especially with that freshly made bread aroma.

I'm a frequent customer, really like the ambience at this place. Recently i visited on the 21st June, around 2.55pm and the coffee was terrible. It was burnt and it tastes.. bad. Never had this issue before, please check with your barista and do something about it.

Got their gluten free cake a couple of weeks back. It was delicious and the service was good as well. It’s not easily accessible by public transport in my opinion so we had to drive there.

It was our first visit to this restaurant. I can’t fault the food which is very good. As we didn’t have any reservations made, we were ushered to a table right next to the toilet entrance. I would only say it was not a very pleasant experience to have a good meal, with people walking in and out of the toilet next to our table!

Overall service and food were good. My Americano was a little flat, and they forgot to put in my scrambled eggs order with the cook, but the friendly service and good taste and quality well made up for it. We're all human, and sometimes, mistakes happen. It's how does a particular establishment handle their mistakes, and this particular establishment handled it in a friendly and professional manner instead of blaming the customer due to a bruised ego, which is a common thing in the USA. It's nice to see an establishment own their mistake and offer a solution to rectify it.

Cosy place for a early morning Christmas breakfast. Opens at 7.30am daily. Have a B&C Toast of the day and Raspberry Donut. Fantastic. The toast goes so well with lemon marmalade and butters.

Choc cake was decadent and indulgent. The egg flavour was stronger than many I've tried which I didn't mind but would recommend to have it heated for a longer time. Spinach and feta pie was delicious - it was everyone's fave at the table! Atmosphere was fantastic! It was lively and bustling with energy but still cozy enough for intimate chats with our loved ones. It's a short walk from the Decathlon in Bedok but if you know the shortcut through the landed properties, you can easily find it.

Have been to a few baker & cook outlets lately after I tried their truffle pizza and I have to say the team at swan lake is definitely the best! I tend to get work done there and the team is the sweetest, and always cheerful whenever they are serving

Pretty bad experience today with 45 min (!!) waiting time for takeaway. They should rather not accept any guests if they cannot serve them. While some staff tried their best, the issue is that they still accept more and more. Social distance was hardly kept. Even after payment (take away order), the food came in a very unorganized manner and needed a few reminders on missing items from my orders :-( Better dont go if crowded

  • 1/5 Ice P. 4 months ago on Google
Was there with dogs so we took the outdoor seats, which was definitely not as decorated and clean as the indoors. But the worst was the lack of service where you order at the counter (and they bring you the food), and yet they unashamedly charged 10% service charge, and what’s worst was one item was for takeout (put in paper bag) but they also slapped 10% on it anyways. It’s wrong to charge for service when there isn’t any, and ‘cheat’ by hiding it within the orders. Food was mediocre, Eggs Benedict’s sourdough was tough as hell and serve with a few leaves (countable !) of spinach (not rocket), and few drizzles of dressing. Last trip to Baker & co island-wide….

The pasta and pizzas are very good. I love the breads too, especially the walnut baton, olive baton, and fruit and nut baton. Price points are reasonable. The cakes are nice too but I find them rather expensive. Dining area is fairly tight. There is alfresco dining but uncomfortable on a hot day.

Flat white and latte were not hot. The milk foam did not heat up properly. The 2 girls were seems not so experience. Forgot to serve this and that. Even a slide of cake also needs to be reminded by my next table diner. The location is cosy

Good food but it doesn't come cheap. Make a reservation if you don't want to wait for a table, especially when it gets busy.

Lovely place with gluten free options. Good coffee and absolutely delicious chia bowl with berries. The cafe is surrounded by landed houses so of course it is not cheap but it feels like the prices are actually on par with all other coffee places in the city.

A quaint cafe in the spirit of halloween. The staff were dressed as pirates and it was swarmed with families with children after trick or treat. Despite that, service was fast. Was amazed the food was ready so quickly. The food was alright. Nothing for me to say it was awesome. Plating was good. The sourdough pizza was soft and warm. I was actually amazed that it remained soft despite cooling down. The prawn. aglio olio was made with black pepper, garlic and some crushed pepper. Prawns were fresh. It wasn't dry. That was definitely a plus. Truffle fries were ok..I will definitely visit the place again

I had been here several times and tried their breakfast menu, coffees and quiche. Today the tomatoes were not very fresh. I'm an 'eggnosior'..so I know my eggs well...but was not 'wow' by the scrambled and poached eggs though. The coffee here is a good roast and blend. Had Hazelnut latte..a tad too sweet I must say! Just a dash would infuse the coffee! Not too much or else it's too sweet. Sadly couldn't finish the latte..my tooth was aching because of the sweetness! All in all , I am satisfied whenever I visit this place.

Absolutely enchanted by the beauty and serenity of Swan Lake, nestled perfectly amidst the vibrant East Coast suburb of Singapore. A stone's throw away, Opera Estate stands as an epitome of a delightful neighborhood. The store managed by the dynamic duo, Franklyn and Felix, is a testament to excellence and passion. Their wonderful team ensures every visit is memorable. Highly recommended!

Mushroom fettuccine was delightful. Yummy and generous mushroom portion (please don’t change this!) Pizza no.3 (smoked salmon one) would probably match a white sauce base better but it tasted good nonetheless. Cappuccino was not amazing but very decent. Gluten free lavender and citrus cake was very sweet but pretty nice after scraping off the syrup layer above. The ambience takes the hat. Overall an enjoyable experience. :) I’ll definitely return.

If you are around opera state and too lazy to go to bedok for a quick fine dining experience, this is the place to try out ☺️ bit high prices. but prices are in the range aligned with singapore fine dining prices. Have tried some in their Coffee collection and enjoyed it.

This is one happy place. Happy vibes. Happy breads. Happy food. Even when my last visit was on a busy and bustling weekend morning, the buzz was chill and comforting. Much to try from the counter and menu. Good coffee. And when they say large, prepare to get large! That made me even a lot happier. Every neighborhood should have a Baker & Cook.

One of the worst cafe. This pasta is one of the worse i’ve ate. The chef probably forgot salt? It’s just yucky. Ordered a parma ham with burrata. Not nice. The ham has these strong ‘fresh’ taste and smell which i’ve never had before at any other restaurants. Its all bad. Stars given only for the good service as they offered to remake a new pizza for me, but it still taste the same, bad.

Always come here for the good coffee and their bakery. Sadly;'there's no consistency on how they serve the sandwich and egg benedict is always 50/50 Sometimes good sometimes disappointing; like today they never toast the bread at all... the food serve on top of the cold white sad non toasted bread ( even though they sell it as " toasted " on the menu ) Otherwise; I love the service and the rest of the food, only lack attention to details.

  • 4/5 Eugene N. 9 months ago on Google
Good selection of hot breakfast items, pastries and breads. Items were on the pricey side though. Pizzas are served from lunch and they were pretty good. Docked them 1 star as their kitchen staff didn’t bother to wear their masks properly over mouths and noses and covered their chins instead. Why bother if this is going to be seen by all your customers since you have a semi-open kitchen? If the servers can make the effort to wear them then the kitchen staff should have the same discipline.

Have gone a few times but I've always been disappointed by the food - overpriced, small portions, mediocre taste, "fresh orange juice" poured from minute maid carton, not great ambience - I'm not very sure why the buzz around it. Which is a pity because the service and folks there have been nothing but great! Just wish the food and selection and prices made more sense for us to patronise.

We went there on 7 September 2021 around 20:30 hours. Food was nice, specially the dough, but service was horrible because there was none. After receiving the menu from a waitress, we tried to order some pizzas to a couple of them, but they said that we had to order and pay in the counter / bar. Second try was to order a beer and same reply: "Please procced to the counter". Then we asked for chilli oil, which was quite nice, but it was already in a mini plastic container to take away. We have nothing against that, but for that kind of pizza place we were expecting better presentation. Summarising food is nice as well is the place, but there is no "waiter / waitress service" there. Maybe we arrived there too "late" to deserve the proper service.

Bought quite a variety of food here. Food is not bad. Coffee tastes good too. However, ordered macchiato and got this, I don’t drink coffee often but it doesn’t seem to be a macchiato. Called the shop and they said this is how their macchiato is. Well well… Reply to owner: This is not what is left. This is exactly what I get..I truly doubt if it is a macchiato.

There is nothing to fault. The service was great from the service staff despite the lunch crowd on weekend. We wanted to take away after we dine in and the service staff was kind enough to ask us to enjoy our dessert first while they help us to take down orders, pack and pay only when the crowd simmer off. Thank you.

Reservations made for 3 for 11.30am on a Monday but arrived 15mins later.Eatery was not busy then and was ushered to our table and gvn the brunch menu. It was my 2nd visit but vaguely remembered there was another menu with pasta/pizza but we weren't gvn any. There was no server to engage with us or offer us if we would like to have the lunch menu. Food was good but service was really poor. Server were not pro-active or attentive, they don't engage with customers to provide more input for better meal selection for customers(am not a regular),obviously lacking in training. I noticed my avo smash was sitting on the counter for a good 5mins before another server sent to me. My experience has been very disappointing today and I won't be back anytime soon.
