I consider this a cross training ground, a quiet place to practice some Taichi, or just a leisurely walk.

It's a very nice place to hike up. You don't need much equipment either. Just a bottle a water and some Snacks.

Nice set of trails and several areas to explore. There is fitness equipment and children's areas, also a viewpoint over the lake. Unfortunately at the top there is no view except into the trees, but there is a good shelter to sit at.

Challenging walk with very steep slopes. Lots of steps too. Be warned! Best to wear shoes, and do it within your capabilities. Use Google map to determine your path, and choose your path wisely. Great nature greens, animals and sound. Love it!

Very enjoyable hike in the middle of Singapore City. Different level of difficultly hike possible. Good half a day spend away from City Life. The peak itself is unremarkable, no breathtaking view here.

It's really a good place to get away from the heat and the crowd. It's a good place for people who practise "forest bathing", you really feel good just spending an hour trekking inside the forest.

The whole of Singapore is here! Just kidding! Beautiful place and greenery with a lot of educational signs on the flora and fauna. 4 well marked paths to explore the whole place. It takes about 15 mins to reach the summit using the most direct path. The initial part was a little steep but lasted only about 5 minutes. Just take it easy and check out the greenery. For fewer people, come on a weekday or go to the quarry area which is at the other end of the reserve.

(Translated by Google) Singapore's highest peak is 163m. Surprisingly difficult to climb (although soon) You can boast of climbing the highest peak. On the way back and forth, it's best to look at the mining ponds and railroad tracks. Watch out for monkeys (Original) シンガポール最高峰163mです。 意外にに上りはキツい(すぐだけど) 最高峰登頂を自慢できます。 行き帰りに採掘跡の池や鉄道跡によるといいでしょう。 猿に注意

Did the south view trail that lead to the cave trail. There is a small bricked water catchment from the stream flowing from the top. Trail is relatively harder for younger kids but can be done. Trekkers love to share info esp when they see young kids. Do the trails as it is more interesting than the pathway, or so my kids said.

The peak of tiny singapore. Don't tsk at what the small hill can do to you! Take a walk and amongst the trail you will find the peace of it and the challenge it can give you. Hasn't changed much over all these years.

Summit of Bukit Timah at 163.63M, it is very easy hike for most people. There is a small shelter at the summit with monkeys running around. You can access the summit either by the staircase or slope pavement.

  • 5/5 Jambay D. 3 years ago on Google
Quite a easy hike although in the beginning the climb can be steep. Better to take the detour small trails that leads to this main summit.

  • 5/5 General T. 3 years ago on Google
Very good view and there is a hut at the summit for you to rest after the hike. The rock beside the hut shows some information about the hill you have hiked. A great exercise for the people in the city and a great respite from city live. Overall, a good hill to hike

Great trial, track place. Good training ground, hell climb. Toilet & water cooler at the bottom of the hill including a washing bay.

Highest peak in Singapore. A casual trek using the "easy" path may not be that easy for some folks, certain part of the path is rather steep. We prefer the beaten path route through gravel rather than pavement. It's a longer trek and occasionally have to maneuver some steps, but less crowd and you're closer to the trees. At the peak there's a hut for resting, and the compulsory photo op with the boulder for bragging rights. Typically people spent 15min at the peak then it's time to head back down, as there's nothing much else there.

Well constructed path, good for beginners and general visitors. Very steep incline at the very beginning, but gets better as you go higher. There is no scenic view at the summit, but you can get a good view of Bukit Timah by going to the left pathway along the shelter before the 'Summit Steps'. Beware of monkeys, do not carry any plastic bags with you as they tend to snatch it away (thinking that you have food in it).

The tallest peak of Singapore, which one in reasonable health can climb within 30 mins. A good place to escape from the concrete "jungle", but please don't expect to be in "Jurassic" Park cos every thing within Bukit Timah Hill all seems pretty tamed. Be warned that it can get pretty crowded during weekends and national holidays.

Can't claim much from the long-overdue trek as I could only manage to stagger up the first stretch (about 100m). That's how bad my cardio-vascular fitness is. Last time, i managed to reach the summit. But that was 2006 and today I am 72 years old. Yet, it was an exhilarating experience despite the hair-raising descent. Just so you know, the steep slope is extremely challenging. But, we saw many elderlies managing easily with triumphant smiles on their faces. Lucky for us, the weather was fine today. The breather at the visitors centre was a relief and a nostalgic one. Nothing changed. Rustic and basic amenities. We will be back for sure ... one day, soon

One of my favourite elevated trail in Singapore! It’s a beautiful hike to the summit and the whole trail is very well maintained. If possible, try to avoid visiting the most popular forest reserve in Singapore during the weekends as it can be very crowded.

Great hiking experience here. There are trails on upslope and downstream, for advanced people can venture into the forest trails but with steep high stairs and some walkway are narrow be sure to wear trekking shoes.
