"When through the woods and forest glades I wander. And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees, When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur, And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze. Then sings my soul....."

An excellent addition to the gardens. Reminds me a little of MacRitchie. Instructions are not that clear on getting there. Takes a bit of wandering around, but worth the effort.

Nicely landscaped, with good informational signs that highlight the various biomes and ecosystems each part of the area is supposed to replicate. Each section is very small, which is expected given the small size of the park, but there are good representative samples of trees and fauna. The paths are solidly constructed, with boardwalks for most parts (so you don't interfere with the vegetation, which is good), and seems to be gentle enough in gradient to accommodate the wheelchair users I saw (though I can't attest to whether all parts of the path were equally accessible). There's a good range of wildlife as well: look out for monitor lizards, and a variety of birdlife. The circuit around the lake is quite short, and is shaded and cool on the far side. The toilets can be found at the lobby/sheltered drop-off area.

Serene, calm environment. Surrounded by lush greenery, this makes for a good run/ walk. Family friendly too, with various nooks and crannies to explore. Boardwalks, treetop walks, rocks to climb over and hide behind, lakeside dais. Goo addition to botanic gardens.

Tranquil and beautiful landscape of the lake surrounded by tall trees. The area is more easily accessible if you choose taxi drop off at Learning forest and just walk a few hundred more meter. Great for taking a breather in nature. Weather can be quite humid so bring hat, sunscreen and portable fan.

Tranquil wetland with the sound of waves crashing onto the shore. Offers unique flora and fauna. Beautiful flowers and towering trees surround it. Butterflies were flying gracefully all over. Admire turtles, fishes and tadpoles swimming happily in the pond. The explanations were precise, lively and clear. Breathing in the fresh air, it is simply a pleasure. Worth a visit.
