Historical site in Singapore where the first national celebration was held here at 1966 - 1 year after Singapore National day at year 1965. Padang means a field in Malay language. It was a big field in here, it was used as a queue area to pay respect to former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew back in 2015.

First time attended a live NDP 2023. A place to be able to see the good view of the commercial buildings around us especially the tower clock. In the evening once it is lighted up, it is amazing.

Attended my first National Day Parade in Singapore. The Parade 2023 is awesome and exceptional. The arrangements are so organised and well planned. The Parade showcased the unity of Singapore, though it has a lots of diverse races and languages. It showcased the strength, uniqueness, togetherness, there growth from a small island on the world map to Well developed country in the world. They allow people from around the world, all races, all religions, and from all walks of industry to come and work here, with pride and prejudice. All treated equally and respectfully. They demonstrated their well preparedness of the country towards the future threats, opportunities, upskilling people to get them ready to face the challenges in the present and future job and entrepreneurship, they will face in the various fields and industries. Attended the Muse concert here after the F1 racing. Spacious and amazing sound system. Singapore really knows how to throw an open air concert.

Very nice place to take a stroll along given how scenic this place is. It’s pretty breezy at night and also not too hot in the evening. Plenty of shops selling beverages if you want a sippy sip. If it gets too hot or happens to rain, there are also shelters to hide under.

Cooling place for relaxing, with the sea breeze and nice place for photos taking.

The Padang is an iconic landmark in Singapore with a rich history. We hope it becomes a UNESCO landmark too! National Day Parade 2023 was held here and there was something really special about the whole feel to it. The sights were beautiful and the displays astounding. Looking forward to the parade here again next year! Be prepared for the heat and sun before sunset thought!

Happy national day! Was here for ndp preview, and the place was all done up very pretty and organised. Nearby the area is where the fireworks gets released so do drop by the corner to catch the fireworks at about 8pm during the NDP2023 parade and rehearsals! Get ready for a massive crowd and human jam during the parade too!

Good spot to do photo shoots either for portrait or landscape. One of the main location for Formular 1 and Singapore night light festival. During the festival there are also booths that sale food and interesting stuff!

A multi-purpose field used usually by corporates, global events or for our annual National Day. A beautiful sea of green right in front of our old court house and the National Gallery. A definite good stroll to take as you walk from the National Gallery towards the Esplanade or vice versa.

Seats are narrow n once seated, need to remain seated until the show ends n in between is difficult to make your way to the restrooms. The design of the seating may lead to deep vein thrombosis due to both legs getting lesser space to stretch, better watch on TV.

Hi, would like to share regarding the portable toilets. It was an experience. The fragrance & the flushing of the toilet bowls was faulty. The toilet was not ventilated. Upon special request, may we have a proper toilet place with proper toilet bowls with flushing system. Would greatly appreciate. Thank you.

The padang area is a remarkable place. It still has the British style architecture. This place has excellent street signage for crossing and it's the nearest part of Singapore which is already so clean. This is the national gallery and behind this is the supreme court. The padang area is basically an open field. It has has the Singapore cricket club on its field.

First time here for the F1 Race 2019. Event was well organised and we enjoyed ourselves hearing the F1 cars thundering past us. The entertainment line up was good too.

Beautiful lawn right in the civic centre. Great for photos esp with the older buildings in the vicinity but even better for a walk in the evening. To the singaporeans, this is a historical place.

Historic place where the Japanese surrendered and ended WW2. Today it is a much exciting place with sports and even a National Day parade thrown in between July to August period. The visuals show the rehearsal of the national day parade rehearsal 2023. Highly recommended for all to visit. It's free but not an easily accessible toilet tho. Nearest is at the National Gallery.

This year's NDP is at the Padang again. Really nice stage and seating. We had a good view of the entire ceremony even though we were at the side and a good view of the fireworks.
