My family enjoys the cakes from Carlton but during the P2HA pandemic, they do not sell whole cakes temporarily. So we decided to takeaway from Tuxedo Patisserie instead. To our surprised, the 4 items we got were absolutely delectable and they were the Chicken Pie, the Milano Sunrise Tomato Baguette, the Burnt Cheese Bacon Quiche and the Matcha Lava Bun.. Will be back again soon.

Just walked out from there. The Malay or Indian guy on duty is the most rude server I've seen in singapore. He literally was telling me and my friend that he don't want to serve us and was not keen to take our orders. Would elaborate more if the hotel management would contact me directly. As for the rest, stay away from this place. Don't spend your money to buy humiliation!

A really good experience at this side coffee place with amazing cakes! A must place if you looking for something quite or have a meeting over coffee or a tea. Amazing service. Will definitely come back. 9 dollar cake and 7 dollar tea. Worth it! Third time coming back here.

Café in the Carlton Hotel, still nice made coffee and really tasty sweet treats. Even though a V60 or Chemex or at least a choice of beans would have been nice.

Walk-in while walking to raffles city, another surprise to me. The matcha lava bun's strong matcha taste yet is cheap.

A small pleasant lobby lounge for a quick break from the hustle and bustle of the busy city outside. It would have been great if only service personnel are more attentive. Long story short, it’s a simple careless service whom the personnel are more involved with each other and forgot an order to be served. It was not a busy period - 3 tables plus us, and with 2 service personnel, it makes it more inappropriate why they forgot an order immediately after it was placed. A very casual wave us over and “pls choose a cake as an apologies and your orders was served to another (phantom?) table by mistake)” explanation just doesn’t cut the cake. I would appreciate a more attentive and diligent personality without the cake. We didn’t take the cake in the end.

ordered mango calamansi tart and tuxedo cake. like the tart. the chocolate on the cake was too sweet and it came 'lying down' just how it is in the picture instead of upright.

Very friendly staff, the chocolate raspberry cake was dense and the biscuit crust at the base was tasty. They happened to run a 1-for-1 coffee special, which we appreciated.

Quiet and nice ambience that makes it a great place to chill and read. The staff was also very friendly to recommend the type of desserts for our taste!! 😊

Nice restaurant, the lunch buffet is very good. Variety of food options.

Beef pie is good with generous fillings. Very peppery though. Chocolate ganache is rich but not too sweet. After-taste is clean and not too heavy.

Let me tell you…. While we’re staying at the Carlton hotel in Singapore we decided that we needed a sugar fix while we waited for dinner time, I was hoping to get at least a gluten free biscuit or anything sweet but to my disappointment there was nothing for coeliacs, I had a poor quality espresso! Please get better coffee beans and some gluten free options!!!

We were given a complimentary afternoon tea set from Tuxedo during our stay at Carlton Hotel. Though a small quiet cafe tucked at one corner of the hotel lobby, it serves good pastries. The chocolate cake and the signature chicken pie surpassed our expectation. The cake is moist and not cloyingly sweet; the chocolate layer has a tint of orange flavour and melts in your mouth. The chicken pie is original in taste with lots of chicken chunks and vegetables, full flavour yet not overly rich. The kids couldn't get enough of them though they just had their lunch not long before. We will certainly be back to get more!

Recommended for short meet-ups

Pastry and coffee were delicious but the service could have been better. Felt being discriminated against when one of the staff kept assuming we would want hot food eg. egg, rice or porridge just because we had two babies with us. Was excited to try the pastries until we kept being suggested to go to the restaurant buffet breakfast next to the cafe instead. Wanted to give 5 stars to the food, but the service of that staff was appalling. Manner matters more.

Staff Jasmine served us for 2 days, she remembered to offer t warm water I requested for t previous day without me asking. 👏👏🤩She was warm, courteous, attentive n professional.👍🏻👍🏻 Highly commendable! Coffee was nice, Chicken Pie good, environment good. Keep it up! 😋✌️

Such a disappointment. Took them about 5 mins to inform that plain waffles are not available. Fine, we asked for the chocolate waffles. 30 mins and more waiting for the choco waffles, to be informed again that they are unable to produce the waffles. Seriously?? I have been looking at the 3 staff mending at the waffle machine. I am sure something could be done better with their services especially when this cafe is part of Carlton Hotel. In all fairness, the coffee was okay...

Ordered whole cakes from Tuxedo for two family celebration events. Good quality cakes with reasonable price. Must try the delicious chocolate raspberry cake.
