A very small part inside the city area. You will take around 15-30 mins to finish the whole path. It's a good relaxing places in the busy area.

Not actually a park per say but definitely will find out a lot of history of this place going back to 1800s including some early photographs dating back to the early centuries if you take a stroll along this cool and we'll renovated path/walkway. If you like like history, this is one interesting walk to take.

If you are looking for THAT scenic spot in Singapore to capture the essence of this metropolis - I.e. ultra modern CBD + traditional Peranakan Red Roofs - then you need to come to this spot for photos. Both during the day and in the evening, a sight to behold.

A lot of bird are not there anymore as they are in the middle of moving to Kranji. But still worth the trip as you can still see many penguins over there. Kid will like it as they can learn about habitat of the birds. Can be quite hot so make sure you bring umbrella. There is a food court next to the souvenir shop. Food is ok.

It's my first time going to the bird park and I must say it's impressive. Despite some parts being not so we'll maintained compared to the zoo, I really appreciate how it was designed. The cages where there was plenty of space for the birds to fly, there was even a lemur in one of them. Now my expectations for the Mandai bird park is much higher!

I went to Singapore in May 2019 with my family and friends. I had planned already for a one day trip to this bird park. Its little away from the main city. It will take almost the full day to cover this place. Overall its a nice experience. You must go this place if you plan a trip to Singapore.

The idea of a permanent aviary was first conceived by the late Dr Goh Keng Swee, then Minister for Finance, in 1968. During a World Bank meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Dr Goh visited its zoological garden and was impressed with its free-flight aviary. He set out to ensure that Singaporeans would have a place where they could escape from urban life and relax with nature.[5][6] Work on the aviary started in January 1969.[7] A 35-acre site on the western slope of Bukit Peropok in Jurong was chosen for the project. The bird park was expected to be completed by the end of 1969.[8] On 3 January 1971, Jurong Bird Park, built at a cost of S$3.5 million, was opened to the public.[9] Jurong Bird Park is now a world-famous bird zoo where there are specimens of magnificent bird life from around the world, including a large flock of flamingos. It is currently the world's largest bird park in terms of the number of birds, and second largest both in the number of bird species and land area (after Germany's Weltvogelpark Walsrode). There are 5,000 birds of 400 species in Jurong Bird Park, of which 29 are of threatened species.[1] In 2006, Jurong Bird Park completed a S$10 million makeover. As a result of the upgrade, the park got a new entrance plaza, a park-owned and managed Bongo Burgers restaurant, an ice cream parlour, a gift shop and a bird hospital.

Well, soon it will part of Singapore history after it move to Mandai in the near future. Come enjoy the scenery and the birds. Enjoy the bird show. Also, don't forget to get some souvenir coins. You won't regret it. Payable by visa.

Giving a shoutout to the JBP's ranger/keeper, Melvin, whom we met inside the African Treetop today! It started to rain heavily while we were inside and we took shelter under one of the resting point. As we were with a toddler and the tram probably will take several mins to come, he offered to take us back to the entrance on his buggy! He was very friendly and we could tell he truly cared about the visitors (heard him on the walkie talkie) and how everything's being managed with the sudden heavy downpour. Thanks again Melvin! It was a precious teachable moment for our toddler.

Very greenery and peaceful place to walk around. I guess they should lower the entrance fee as most activities were closed to COVID. But to think again, it's ok to pay the same price as the bird need to eat as well as to pay the staff salary. Now not may visitors.

A bit out of the way compared to the other major tourist attractions, but worth a visit to see the many birds and shows. Efforts have been made to improve the park in recent years, including construction of a new open aviary for African birds - many beautiful starlings that perch less than a meter away from you. The waterfall aviary is another must see. Excited to see how Jurong Bird Park evolves when it moves to Mandai. Good to visit in morning or later afternoon, or time it so that you visit the indoor exhibits during the hot or rainy hours.

The JBP is a great park where to spend a day discovering the beauty of bird species from all around the world. The park itself is well structured with ample space for birds to fly around. There are a number of aviaries where birds are free to fly around and carry out their lives in a more natural way. Definitely recommend visiting!

We went to Jurong bird park with my whole family. Due to Covid , there is no more crowd anymore so we didn't even need to queue anywhere! Isn't that awesome >>>>> We also watched the birds show , waited for sometime for it but is worth it. The location of Jurong bird park is quite remote , grab a car to go there easlier!

This is a wonderful bird park with many different species of birds! I would say Jurong Bird Park is a very big part of every Singaporean's childhood. Sadly, they will be moving very soon to Mandai. Looking forward to the new park, new attractions, new exhibits. But I will also miss this place and the memories we had here. ❤👍🏻

Ah, this bird park simply wowed me. What an impressive place with so many kinds of birds to watch. There're also bird shows on the list. What an enjoyable and fun trip for us.

  • 4/5 Fong Yee C. 2 years ago on Google
Brought back childhood memories of the birds and the place. But do watch out for bird droppings. Because they're moving, it feels that everything seems so be slightly old compared to the zoo because of the lack of renovation. Bring lots of insect repellant because there are lots of mosquitoes. Also note that there's no nursing room and only one eatery where you can sit and eat for vaccinated visitors.

  • 5/5 Phillip P. 2 years ago on Google
Abit out the way but a nice day out for the family. Covid means the shows are more restricted, you have to check the times online and scan the QR code at the entry gate to register otherwise will be fully booked.

Fantastic experience at an amazing bird park. Watch the parrots trained to do tricks and enjoy the many colourful birds especially the large collection of flamingos. A world class must see experience.

  • 4/5 Gunjan K. 2 years ago on Google
Good place to visit with young kids. U can take pictures with colorful Cuckatoo at the entrance. Trolleys, bicycles can be rented at the entrance. Food option also available like pizza hut, cafes etc. Tram ride is available also to cover as much as possible in a day. There is a small playground for kids too.

  • 5/5 Aizuddin T. 2 years ago on Google
Catch a variety of birds here while enjoying the beautiful greenery and listen to the sounds of wildlife on your way around the park. There are a number of aviaries where birds are free to fly around. Great place for young kids and families! The signs are very informative to learn about the species of the birds. Visit in the morning so you won't feel too hot but also, remember to pack sunscreen and a water bottle (they provide refill stations)!

  • 4/5 Ahmad S. 2 years ago on Google
Get up close and personal with some bird species. A whole lot of Toucans to but truth be told the Bird Park needs some sprucing up. Nevertheless still a very nice place to enjoy the weekend to do sightseeing.
