According to the N Parks website, you can access the treetop walk either from the MacRitchie or Venus Carpark. We opted for the latter, as it was a shorter walk. The actual treetop walk is only a small stretch, so don't expect too much. The equally fun part is actually the walk there. Along the way, we came across incredibly tame macaque monkeys, saw some squirrels, and I even caught a glimpse of a huge wild boar. The treetop walk, while short, was glorious, as I was walking way up high and loved the views. The walkways are very well maintained, and it's no wonder so many people flock here. Go on a weekday late morning when there's actually some breathing space. The bonus is, when you're done, you can go somewhere nearby for lunch!

VERY long and tiring hike! My only complaint is that the path was a bit muddy because it had recently rained. However, it was not very buggy and the suspension bridge was really cool! I also a bunch of monkeys. I walked to the suspension bridge and then came back via the golf course, so it ended up being about 8 miles. Be prepared to get sweaty!

If hiking this trail for the first time, I strongly suggest you wear very comfortable hiking shoes. It can be very muddy and slippery in certain areas. You will climb hundreds of steps and very steep hills, and it usually is wet, so be careful not to slip. I don't suggest you take little kids and do not take dogs. They are not allowed, and the monkeys will go after the dogs. They will attack the dogs. I strongly suggest you leave the monkeys alone. Do not try to feed them. Do not get close to them. Do not try to pet them and never smile in their face. When you smile in a monkey's face, they see it as a sign or a symbol that you want to fight, so they might attack you. I strongly suggest you go first thing in the morning. Because in the afternoon there could be a lot of rain and thunderstorms. And you don't want to be in the middle of this trail when there is heavy rain, because there is no way out from the middle. Nobody's coming to get you and there is no way out. Avoid the rain and wear comfortable clothes. It's not a place for little kids if you plan on hiking the trail and seeing the tree top bridge.

The actual treetop walk was a little underwhelming for me. It is quite short (less than 3 minutes walk), and not very high up (felt like less than 50 feet). The view on the bridge was nothing spectacular, although it didn't stop a group of girls in front of me from stopping every 10 feet for selfies (even though they claimed to be afraid of the height! Really??). The trails around MacRitchie and Windsor park are much more interesting.

Walk was nice in a cool atmosphere but a bit rocky in some places. I was disappointed that the treetop was closed on Mondays. I enjoyed watching the monkeys and squirrels in their natural habitat.

We went there quite early, took the loop trail and finished it 3.5 hours. Was quite easy, expect some muddy areas if it was raining the night before. Good place to walk in Singapore. Come early for less people in Tree Top Walk

To avoid the heat, Dawn is the best time to sightsee. Albeit if one hiked the jungle trail they will mostly be protected by the trees. If one loved nature, this is a must visit with plenty of wild animals to scrutinize. Especially monkeys, do keep your foods and drinks hidden as the monkeys are great hunters amongst these areas. My friends and I have personally experienced their aggressiveness. Additionally, protect your phone. As long as the hands are empty, one is generally safe. Spray lots of insect repellents and enjoy the views!

Saw lots of amazing wildlife! Monkeys, monitor lizards, squirrels, giant millipedes and turtles. Great walk if you want to get out in nature. Would classify this walk as moderate due to Singapore's high humidity levels - makes you sweat a lot so bring water. Took about 2 hours from Venus Carpark to tree top walk and back. There's a ranger station about 2km into the walk where you can rest and go to the toilet.

Really enjoy the nature moment here, and the track also well made with non slippery material. Make sure to finish the trekking part before sunset, since I aware there's not much lighting within the "forest" side.

Love the walk from Venus Drive car park (also the shortest route at 2.5km one way, total route about 6km). Go early to avoid the heat. The ranger station is where you can fill up on water and check out macaque monkeys (but watch out if you’re carrying food visibly or in plastic bags)!

If you enjoy nature/hikes this is a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. This was a relatively easy hike with awesome views and lots of monkeys along the way. The monkeys are friendly: if you don’t bother them they won’t bother you. Please don’t feed them! I recommend you bring water and mosquito repellent.

A nice contrast to metropolitan Singapore. I walked from Venus car park to the treetop walk and back again. Whilst not too strenuous, the path varies from being well maintained to completely washed out and there are some quite steep slopes involved, so this is not for those with kids, buggies or people with mobility issues. Nice view from the bridge, so worth the trek. Didn't see any boars, but lots of monkeys. Just avoid eye contact and keep your distance where you can. They are not scared of humans and will grab a bag from your hands if you are lower your guard!

A perfect weekend to spend in the wilderness... being amidst nature is the best feeling . One is never alone, one can use that time to rejuvenate, introspect, appreciate and above all getting here is only a 15 minute drive or 25 min public transport journey from any part of the city .

You can choose between the paved and elevated trail or the undulating rocky and muddy trail. Either way the experience for the senses of a tropical forest is simply amazing. Well put together and fabulous..even on a scorching day, it is cool as you are covered by tree canopies. And all this practically within miles of the city, without the sounds and completely immersed in nature. Worthy of a visit. Plan your trek as there are a number of trails.

It takes less than 1 hour to reach treetop walk from the trailhead. Super cool and stable bridge. But try to reach there around 9.00am before it became too crowded.

A beautiful walk, at times a bit hard for a 7 year old but generally very enjoyable and relaxing. Only thing is that the monkeys are very aggressive, actively snatched biscuits from my son's hand and launched towards him the second time. But very careful when bringing young children.

Very beautiful trail leading to the immaculate view on the treetop walk, however DO NOT bring out any plastic bags with food!! My brother was attacked by the monkeys, who stole his bag of bread and ran away with it! This is actually really bad for the monkeys, so please do not FEED THEM or they will learn to steal! You can admire them from a distance but they can get aggressive and defensive when you make eye contact or smile at them with your teeth. There are many opportunities to get up close with the monkeys while adoring the view, but keep a safe distance and don't take out food from your bags at all. I still took good pictures of the monkeys but try not to make eye contact as it makes them nervous.

It was a fascinating adventure — hiking alone into the wilderness; with the sounds of the animals inhabiting the forests, the rough rocky road, and getting some breathe of fresh air. I didn’t expected that it was a long journey, luckily I brought a bottled water! It was indeed satisfying after finishing the whole trail. Will surely visit again and maybe with friends!

The Macritchie Treetop Walk is a suspension bridge that allows a hiker to walk through the treetops of the forest. It is some distance from the nearest carpark but worth a try, especially for kids who will be thrilled walking above the trees. Do note that the walk is one-way only, so follow the instructions and do not try to enter from the back.

safe distancing in place before you get on the suspension bridge. so be sure to arrive early. but the lines move fairly quickly as long as the people in front move at a steady pace. definitely not a place for young children and toddlers as it is quite a hike for them. the trail is rather rocky with slopes going up and down.

Depending on your starting point and pace, the trail could take reach 3 hours or more to complete (including making your way back out of the trail). Don't start too late in the afternoon as the last time to enter the treetop walk is 4:45pm. The trail could be challenging at certain parts for those with elderly or young children as it goes up and down root-strewn paths & lengthy flight of stairs that wheeled chairs or trams can't traverse. All in all, it's a good hearty walk to go on your day-offs but it can crowded during public holidays due to its popularity.

MacRitchie Treetop is a Nice Trail.. Make sure to not go on Monday because it’s closed. 😅 we didn’t check it online. Be careful with Monkeys. Don’t eat in the wild to avoid them attacking you. Be mindful with your environment. Don’t leave trash. Bring your own bottle. There’s refilling station on restrooms. Plan your walk ahead. Make sure you can do it.

Not a walk in the park!! So beware pls. Not suitable for children and elderly or people with lower limbs challenge. Need some basic physical fitness to enjoy the session. The journey (90%) is generally walking on dirt track and uneven ground. Water cooler available along the walk but selected places only. Be prepared for wet weather, limited shelter huts along the way. Toilet is avail, but at selected place only For Groups larger than 30paxs, a permit is required.

Short hike to the tree top walk from Windsor carpark (about 2.5km) but the return trip was much longer because it's a 1-way route. Total distance was about 7.5km from Windsor carpark and back (clocked by strava) . About 3 hrs for strolling speed. Ranger station is strategically located mid way for water top up and toilet break. Be sure to use it for the return trip if you need lots of water. It's a long stairs climb right after the tree top walk, so get ready to work those legs! Lots of monkeys around so try not to eat along the way. They have learnt that swinging your bag to the front means you're probably getting food out and they descend to your spot really fast. Also, please keep your trash with you until the exit or proper place for disposal.

We parked by the Venus drive. Slight wait for car parking in Saturday morning but I would imagine there are quieter times. The walk to the treetop bridge and back took about 2 hours I think it’s around 8km with some up hills and can get a bit wet. It’s generally well marked out with sign posts. We did it with children aged 8 and 10 and bought some snacks along. A few complaints towards the end but they coped ok albeit it started to rain a bit on part of our hike. If you are taking kids they should be comfortable with walking that kind of distance.

A beautiful park near my place. Me and my family will usually start the walk from the reservoir to the tree top walk on a weekend morning. The whole journey took about 1 hours up and 2 hours down by the golf course. A great place to do bird seeing and getting close to nature.

Going there and doing a the small tour will take you 2 hours at a normal speed. I went there on a Saturday morning and was surprised -in a good way- because there was not that much people. The bridge is quite impressive and very high, so it might be difficult for kids or people who fear heights to pass it. Also, beware of the monkeys on the path. Overall, it's a lovely way to spend time.

Actualize your potential Say, you have all along a gift, a talent or an ability in communication. All you wish to know is how to get a confirmation that you have this innate gift and actualize it for your own development and growth as a human being. I will use my own experience with heroic quest to let you know how I get my confirmation and actualize it. The road to actualize your potential is when you answer to the call to adventure. The call to adventure is a sacred call from life itself to remind you that there is a gift hidden inside you. And you have to use it for your development as a human being. You might have ignored it or not even aware of it. The call could be anything. It could be a wake-up call in the form of midlife crisis, reminding you to take responsibility of your life. This is exactly what has happened to me when I encounter a midlife crisis where I find my life is meaningless and my career is in the rut over three decades of my working life. What I do next is, to answer to the call to adventure, I take the road less traveled rather than follow the flock to embark on an inner journey of heroic quest to find out what my life destiny is in this existence. In this unconventional approach, I seek the help of a deck of Crystal Ally Cards as my spiritual guide and the support and protection from the friendly Universe and light beings from the mineral kingdom. Within three months of my journey, I manage to find out from my spiritual guide that my life destiny is in writing. This is how I get my confirmation that I have a gift in writing and that my life destiny is in writing. Taking the cue from my spiritual guide that my life is in writing, I take the plunge to write my memoir on heroic quest over a period of fourteen years. In chapter 5 of my book, Going Home, and under the caption, ‘The Challenges in writing’ I relate, “Upon deep reflection, my overall comment about writing my story is that it is indeed a very challenging, anguishing, and grueling task that spreads across a period of fourteen years. Ironically it is precisely because of these daunting challenges in the writing that I am unconsciously and consciously forced to bring out all the positive attributes in me to overcome the challenges one by one and eventually becoming a transformed person.” What I am saying in this paragraph is that it is through fulfilling my life destiny in writing over a period of fourteen years that I am able to develop my innate creative potential to the fullest to accomplishing writing a piece of work on heroic quest: that is to say that I am able to actualize my innate creative potential to become an author to a book, Going Home, on heroic quest.

Meeting in the wild, focus and talk to the trees, wild boar, roaster, fishes, squirrel and birds. Leave some blood for the insects and perspiration for the mangrove swamp. Be good.

Nice top of the world experience. But for seniors the one way walk back is quite long . 1.5 hours slow walk. Maybe can make an alternative shorter route back. Suggestion

Arrived to Venus carpark at 8.30 on a weekday, reached the start of the queue at 9.12am. There was around 20 people in front of us. It took us around 20 mins to get to the front. Also noticed that the queue got even longer as we were queuing. My suggestion would be to come by much earlier. Just be aware that this trek involves a lot of stairs and slopes and it was quite challenging. The whole route from the carpark took a total 2.5hrs.

Only 30 minutes outside of downtown by bus. You can enjoy around three hours of nature. The trails are really good, even after heavy rain. Some steps and hills but nothing too severe.

Very fun hike with great views. The flexibility of the different routes really allows you set the difficulty to your personal preference. Trails are in good condition and you get to see a fair few animals.

I found the walk a little difficult, just due to the Singapore heat and humidity. The actual walking was fine, but was physically draining due the intense humidity. The scenery is really nice, and a great change from the hustle and bustle of singapore. I would suggest taking a couple of bottles of water. We even got to see some monkeys (for which there are several signs discouraging any interactions, probably for a good reason).
