Just walking around without aim at Chinatown, Singapore? Try to apply a free experience at Singapore Rewards if you haven't try it before and choose Chinatown Murder, an outdoor escape room that brings you a whole new experience to go through Chinatown. It was really a great way if you want to know more about Chinatown in Singapore. You're not only gonna see some interesting places in Chinatown, but also have a very memorable memories to remember when you coming back to Chinatown later. Our guides, Mr. Julian and his Assistant Jiejie are really fun, guiding us through all the games with great story telling. Thankyou so much for you two. Solving puzzle to get some clues about the mission while looking at many beautiful places around Chinatown and listening to some historical event that happened in Chinatown, you won't even feel bored or 2 hours is a long time to passed. It really is a good experience for me and my friend when we are at the Chinatown. 100% gonna recommend this to you who want to try something new when you come to Singapore. 😁👍❤️❤️❤️

🏮Our guide YS was clearly eager to share his enthusiasm and insight into key hawker stalls and their operators. Supplied headsets made it much easier to navigate with a large group. Food suggestions and facilitation were top.

Participated in the Disappearing Trades Tour and I enjoyed it immensely! The tour contained bite-sized information regarding history and heritage, not only about Singapore but the world as well. It was an eye-opening experience for me as I had never really thought about how these trades are slowly fizzling out as Singapore progresses at such a rapid speed. This tour allowed me to take some time to slow down, think, and have meaningful conversations with the pioneers who poured their whole lives into their craft. If not for this tour, I wouldn’t have had the chance to witness these important aspects of our heritage. Iris, our guide, engaged us in trivia from start to finish and it was clear that she has a deep understanding about the topics at hand. Her presentation was professional and insightful, and her vivid storytelling was stellar. Iris even took time to get to know every single person who attended the tour, and took good care of all of us! I will definitely be interested in attending a similar tour. Thank you Tribe and Iris! - Mich (Milo Lover)

Guide was patient, attentive and shared many anecdotes for the stories to resonate with many of us. Even Chinese tourists who barely understood the English tour felt it was very helpful.

Wow it was an insightful tour we had at the Enabling Village in Singapore. Our tour guide, Sheldon, was amazingly bubbly, welcoming and had a great sense of humour. He was always ready to answer our questions. We learnt a lot about persons with determination, we are poised to go back to our country and be positive change makers. Thank you!

I thoroughly enjoyed the food tour. It gives a very nice overview and introduction of hawker centres and their food. So you're able to learn and taste a lot in a short amount of time. If you stay in Singapore for longer you also have a good start to discover hawker centres in depth.

This tour was the highlight of my trip to Singapore. Our guide, Andros, was wonderful, helping us navigate the busy hawker centre and try a variety of dishes along the way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone travelling to Singapore that wishes to learn more about hawker culture and tradition. Booked through Singaporewards for free.

The Chinatown murder mystery was such a great experience. Our game master and tour guide Yong Yuan Cheng (I hope I spelled his name right?) was a great story teller I felt completely immersed in his stories. He was very lively, very patient and always happy. The game was very well-thought-out. Definitely the highlight of my trip! I had been looking for a very different experience and this was absolutely it! Best tour I have ever participated in.

Our family has a new found appreciation for the Hawker Culture, Thanks to Julian and the Tribe Team! (Melissa + YS) The tour was so much fun, as we listened to great stories about the traditions and tried some very unique snacks! The kids stayed interested and really enjoyed trying all the local favorites! We highly recommend booking this tour on your first day in Singapore to get acquainted!

Andros was an amazing guide! He has a massive amount of knowledge and knows all of the secret tips and shared with us all the stories from all the stalls. There is so much rich history and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to learn about it from such an experienced guide. Andros was so passionate when story telling, I was absolutely intrigued. This was a great walking tour and the food was equally amazing. Thanks so much, Andros, for sharing your knowledge and experience. This was the best part of my holiday!

The half-day Disappearing Trades tour was really fascinating, informative, and engaging. I now have even more appreciation for locally made stuff, like coffee and bread, among other crafts and goods. I loved being able to see and to go inside the "back of the shops". Iris and Andros were open, warm, and articulate, and awesome guides. Thanks for a lovely day!

We did the outdoor escape game in Chinatown and it was a lot of fun exploring Chinatown this way. The games aren’t too difficult so it’s family friendly, and the guide shares about the history of Chinatown too. I wouldn’t recommend it to escape room fans (too easy) but to anyone else looking for fun together: definitely! I wish the guide would have told us that between game locations we can pay full attention to his story without missing hints because now we did not catch all he had to share because of (unnecessary) being on the lookout at all times.

The tour was an amazing experience! We had great fun on a stir day morning walking around Chinatown, exploring the location, and listening to the history! Putting the murder mystery in really cinched the tour!! Would absolutely love to do this again! Elaine was an amazing guide as well, carefully explaining the history and ensuring that our rest stops were well-shaded and we were kept comfortable. Check it out if you’re in town!

Very interesting tour on the traditional businesses which are at risk of becoming extinct in Singapore. Business owners were very happy & proud to share their stories and we could really see how much effort & passion they put in. Boon, our guide, was knowledgeable and shared the history behind each business with us. Highly encourage to check out this tour before the trades disappear.

Best tour of Singapore yet with HawkerWalk Old School Snacks Tour with our stellar guide Julian. Our group of four had the complete experience savoring some of Singapore’s best hidden culinary treasures in Chinatown Complex Food Centre. Julian and the Tribe team made sure everyone have a great experience with his storytelling of the hawker’s craft and backgrounds - something other tours do not offer to the same extent. Recommend this tours for foodies and those with an adventurous palette!

It was a sunny day and we had a great team activity solving puzzles around St. John island! Really had a fun time! YS, our guide, had been very informative on the history of the island too! We came by ferry from Marina South Piere and went back towards Sentosa by a smaller boat. YS had been accommodating and helpful through out!

Awesome experience for the family. Did the Jewel Heist tour with our kids (aged 10 and 13 years) who also enjoyed themselves and were able to fully participate in the puzzles as it drew on their powers of observation. Also a good way to learn about the architectural wonder that is Jewel. Jason was a knowledgeable and experienced guide, and pitched the level of help provided to solve the puzzles at an appropriate level to our group to maximize our enjoyment. Highly recommended tour!

I recently took a tour (HawkerWalk@Old School Snacks) that focused on market stall and hawker stall owners and their offerings, and I must say it was an incredibly enjoyable and informative experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the local food scene, and did an excellent job of introducing us to a variety of market and hawker stalls, many of which were lesser-known gems. One of the things that stood out for me was the opportunity to interact with the stall owners themselves, which added a personal touch to the experience. The tour guide also shared interesting stories and information about the history and cultural significance of the food we were trying, which enhanced our appreciation of it. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in food and local culture. The tour was well-organized and the guide was engaging and knowledgeable. I left with a belly full and deeper understanding and appreciation for the local food scene.

We did a Disappearing Trades tour with Iris as main tour guide. Was insightful, interesting and nostalgic..visited traditional coffee roaster co, got to know the deep long history of coffee facts and trends. Then we were brought to a local roti bakery who does fresh breads daily, the ones we get from Yakun toast and rainbow bread from the ice cream carters. Bought and ate some on the spot, that felt great 😁 last stop was the bamboo+paper craftmakers family where they make big houses, buildings as offerings to the ancestors for specific religious groups. Met the pioneers who are always so friendly and happy to share their journeys and stories. Iris was professional, caring and informative. This tour suits older kids i feel as it can be overwhelming for younger active ones where they have diff priorities 😆 Would hope that Tribe can engage more Natives soon so we get a chance to discover and appreciate the manual bits and touches of the admirable trade.
