Visited back in March before the shutdown. The Sang Nila Utama Garden is a garden set within Fort Canning Park and named for the first ancient king of Singapore, I think. The garden has the architecture style of ancient Indonesia and Malaysia.

Very beautiful garden using red brick to create the "side" of the doors. It is as if you are in Bali. Total length is about 150m. The small animal scrupture are very nicely crafted as well. Beautiful little ponds along the area with water lily planted in it adding a sense of tranquil. May be they should breed some fishes in the ponds as well.

Nice little garden to spend some time in Fort Canning Park. It has a few red brick gates with green and leafy vines and ferns covering the gates. It gives Bali vibes with the split gate. There are little ponds in the area between those gates and some chairs to sit around. It is so calming and tranquil to sit there in the morning enjoying the view.

This garden is named after the Srivijayan prince who discovered Singapore back in the late 1200s. There's a popular IG-worthy picture located here, the Bali Split Gate.

A beautiful little garden with many quiet, shady places to sit. The water features are lovely and help to cool the location.

Sang Nila Utama Garden is part of the Fort Canning Park walk. The garden is quite picturesque with beautiful ornate bali style gates adorning the pathways. On holidays might expect some groups sitting around but nice to spend some time listening to some small water fountains which were meant to help relax and meditate

Nice, relaxing area to walk through whilst at Fort Canning Park. Reminded me of Bali. There are various shady areas to rest amd soak in the atmosphere. Definitely worth walking through when you are at Fort Canning Park.

Like Little Bali, the grass or leaf like bit messy. One thing interesting, gecko like to stop at the head of statue

One of the sure-fire highlights of Fort Canning Park. Through its brick archways, you will enter a small pristine world filled with the beauty of the Southeast Asian gardens of yore. There are benches by the ponds to lounge and relax amidst the sounds of the water. The garden is less than 200Β m long, but it leaves a lasting impression in one's mind. Great place to snap some photos of the statues too!

One of the newer spots on Fort Canning, reminiscent of Bali. Great area to relax or take pictures

Connected to Fort Canning Park. Apart from sightseeing, such as Fort Canning Park, this location is not only for sightseeing but also suitable for jogging. The trails are uphill and downhill, there are also stairs with lots of steep steps which are very challenging for cardio.

Why make a gate resembling Java-Bali? I hope you show Malay influence, making replicas like the temples in Sumatra, 'cause Sang Nila Utama was a Srivijaya prince from Palembang & the founder of Temasek (Singapore).

Easy to find, just follow the signboard. It’s not a big garden. Just some decorative stuff in this area. Nice to take photos.

The Sang Nila Utama Garden at Fort Canning Park, named for the Palembang prince, is a re-creation of South-east Asian gardens of the 14th century.

Nicely laid out garden with bass reliefs that show wars and daily life during the Majapahit and Sri Vijaya empire periods. More detailed explanation of the bass reliefs would be useful.

Nice garden didn’t know it existed before. Different segments such as flower garden, perfume garden, fruit orchard. There is a beautiful blooming pot of flowers in the pavilion top. Scenic place and many people come to take pictures. But it is quite small though.
