Pros: The staff was friendly and the furniture stylish (scandinavian). Location is great. Cons: Unfortunately, our room (room 4) was very noisy (we could hear voices in the lobby, our room’s neighboors showering and chatting) and street noises (cars doors, etc). The mattress was banana shaped and quite incomfortable, the pillows were synthetic and of poor quality.

This hotel is well-located, with both shops and sights walkable. The rooms are bright, clean, and comfortable (the shower large, powerful shower is especially nice). The hotel is quiet and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside of my particular stay during a heatwave was no air conditioning; opening the window unfortunately wasn't enough to bring the room to a comfortable temperature.

Excellent hotel. Nice atmosphere VERY CLEAN. Friendly helpful staff. Location is great too. Excellent shower. It would be nice to have a fridge in the room thou. No air conditioner in the room, I’m not sure how that would be in the summer.

Wow! We did not expect this kind of quality for this price, at this central location. Super fresh room and lobby, everything was clean, breakfast was good and staff was helpful (a crash course in smiling a bit more wouldn’t hurt though 😅). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Well done Hygge Hotel. We’ll be back next time in Brussels!

Beautiful hotel and a great staff! The only thing we didn’t like was the bed. It was too small and not very comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Location is good - 15 to 20 min walk from Grand Place.

I would highly recommend this hotel, the location, the cleanliness and the staffs are all amazing. There was this staff called Latifa at night in the reception and she was super sweet and we had a quite long conversation about Brussels and she even suggested me some shops.

We overall had a great experience at the Hygge, chose it due to its location and clean atmosphere. I do think though that in terms of value for money, the hotel does not perform the best. At this room rate, I would expect that there are better amenities in the room, new water everyday, AC or a top quality fan, and a shower where I don't need to bend over not to knock my head in the wall to have a relaxing shower. However, the hotel was extremely clean, and staff was very friendly and helpful. We would return again, but would make sure it is not during the summer months and would likely request other than the top floor so the shower is more comfortable.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The location, ambiance, and attention to detail in the room's design were exceptional. The staff was attentive and made our stay comfortable from start to finish. Highly recommended for a memorable and enjoyable stay!

The lobby and breakfast room are beautifully designed and nice places to hang or do some work on a laptop. The Relax room is nice but quite small. The one we were in had a slightly awkward layout where the bathroom door blocked the tv unless it was shut tightly. The room is not soundproof at all, you can hear people walking upstairs and in the hallway. The shower has only shampoo/bodywash so bring your own conditioner. Internet was also slow in our room, could not download text images or videos. Overall nice hotel but a few details of these details could make the stay a lot better.

Nice place, nice staff. Loses 1 star due to expensive car park facilities. €15 per night is too much. However I will return as it is a lovely place.

The entrance and shared spaces of this hotel are very lovely and warm, the staff are friendly and accommodating and the hotel is really well located with some great spots nearby. The rooms are nice enough for three star hotel, although not similar in design particularly to the lounge/ entrance. They are very clean, and the housekeeping are nice. They don’t have a huge amount of storage for clothing, or amenities like irons etc which we’ve grown accustomed to having on a trip, although this isn’t a huge problem, or they might have at reception. Our biggest issue with them was that they aren’t very well soundproofed, you can hear people outside them in corridors, conversations in other rooms, others using their bathrooms as well as noise from the street. We would’ve given 4 stars to this hotel however on our first night we stayed in room 4, which we really found uncomfortable and noisy as on the front street, and ground floor next to the lobby. As soon as we arrived we realised this would be a problem so asked to change room. This couldn’t be achieved on the first night but thankfully Bob sorted us out and changed us to room 308 on the third floor which was much nicer designed, and slightly quieter as on 3rd floor so not kept up by movement in the lobby/ bin trucks in the early hours and the laundry being taken out. Not sure if we would stay again to be honest due to this issue on the first night as it did impact our first day in Brussels as we had slept so poorly, we didn’t feel at all rested which is a big shame when you are only away for a few days on a city break weekend. Have subsequently seen a few reviews also saying that the ground floor accommodations aren’t very nice/ peaceful so if booking maybe just ask to be on a higher floor as I’m sure then you will have a nice stay here and enjoy Brussels.

Location was good, rooms clean, hotel lobby was stunning. But the room lacked privacy. I don't know about you, but I don't like to see my partner on the bathroom doing his buisnes through glass door. Couldn't unpack as we had only 2 narrow shelves. Plus hotel was way too warm (the heat was turned off in b the room) no air conditioning so we had to leave the window open all the time, which made it loud to sleep if it rains.

Stayed 1 night Sunday, October 9, 2022. Keyless check in. No reception staff, but there were housekeeping onsite who showed us how to open the door & they were also onsite at checkout the following morning. The room is newly renovated, clean, cute; basic, but great: room 9. Bed/beddings soft, plush, made for great night's rest. Planning to book several rooms hopefully June 2023. I was alone at night & was a bit nervous that no one was onsite just in case of an emergency, but I am sure they have security camera. The tiling behind shower handle was not completely sealed so just a note for maintenance. I told housekeeping already that one of the towel bars fell off & he said he will tell maintenance. Love the tiles & shower. Def will be my regular stay in Solvang/Santa Barbara area. Thank you.

Lovely Hotel, very clean & very friendly staff. Slightly out of the city but everything is easy enough to walk to. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was impeccable. The staff was so helpful and available. The breakfast was one of the best. The ambiance was soothing and quite. The room was immaculate and the decor is very nice, the ceilings high, the shower wonderful. All in all when we return to Brussels if Hotel Hygge is available we will be staying again.

Design-wise: Excellent minimalist Scandinavian design with high-quality brands used throughout. The lobby is especially delightful, and the rooms are nice and spacious. Otherwise: No soundproofing. Very uncomfortable bed. Poor wi-fi.

Amazing! Staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself is nice and close to the metro station. I didn't have breakfast but I saw it and it looked appealing. No faults or complaints. Would definitely stay again..... I requested birthday decorations upon booking, and this was done nicely.

Very nice hotel but should you get a room next to the elevator - run and exchange, if possible - too noisy and the reception does not have any earplugs, had a bad night sleep..

Friendly staff, a nice fresh looking hotel, a lovely breakfast and well located; not far from a metrostation and about 15-20 min walk from the Grote Markt. There is a carpark under the hotel, which is convenient (20 Euro/day). Well recommended!

My first stay in Brussels, the hotel was located in the heart of the city, hotel staff were friendly and considerate, but I did find my room a little too small to call it comfortable for a family of three. The biggest highlight was the cosiness of the place.

The most beautiful hotel, the decor is something else! The rooms were so clean, amazing blackout curtains and very comfortable beds. The staff are so friendly and it's sutuated in a great location. Would definitely stay again.

Bedroom good enough. Missing coffee machine, drinks are with cost at front desk. When stayed, elevators didn't work so we needed to drag our luggage up three floors.

nice hotel, modern, close to city center. very friendly staff. rooms good size, very clean. too soft matress, it killed my back as I´ve stayed for a week. missing a/c in the rooms, also breakfast could include more fresh fruit and vegetables.

Nice big rooms but...no fridge in the room. We had 2 safes instead 🤦‍♂️. The toilets in the hotel are not easy to find (even by following the signs). The signs were pointing to each other but no toilet in the middle. There are 2 stairs you can choose where the toilets can be. After asking at the lobbyists, it is the stairs going down. Downstairs many doors with no sign. A friendly lady told us if we're looking for the toilets that it was at the end of the hall. To get to our room we had to take an elevator from the garage to the check-in. Going outside to go to another elevator to go to our floor. We received 4 little bottles of water during the check-in. We had our hands full with our luggage (2 adults and 2 kids). So after finding our room and dropping off our trunks we went back to get our 1 time offer of water. In the room there was no water boiler. So no tea or coffee 😒. I'm not sure it will be the right place for people with a handicap due to the different stairs all over the place. The staff is kind but nothing more. You will not find a certain high class service. Oh yeah, there's a parking available. Don't get in if your have a big car!!!

great interior, cosy and well designed breakfast room. our room (215) was nice, double bed a bit too small, shower needs an extra glass door. breakfast was very good. staff not overly friendly. location of the hotel is great, metro in walking distance, so are good restaurants, shops and coffee bars.

Very cosy and beautiful hotel. We stayed on the upper floor room. One strange thing was that they had a strange way of opening & closing the windows in the last floor which was in a really old fashioned way - so practically with a “stick“ you need to open & close the window (no idea what happens when it is raining). That was pretty uncomfortable, except for this - was a great experience!

I do not recommend this hotel. The communication was terrible, it was impossible to reach the hotel, they replied 2 weeks later. Furthermore, do not expect any mercy in case of cancellations (emergencies), they will not refund or rebook your stay.

One of the coziest hotels I have ever been! The design is so cool and the old architecture is so beautiful and especially the stairs! Customer service is also really good and really nice. The room is pretty small, but cozy. The bathrooms could be better and more sounds proof, but otherwise everything is good. The breakfast is also pretty good . The location is ok, close to the shops but pretty far from the centre. But will definitely come back again!❤️

The hotel was perfect. We stayed one night on our roadtrip and enjoyed the stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The amenities are sufficient. The hotel service including breakfast and the overall costumer treatment is superb. It is situated central. We rented a parking lot in the hotels own parking garage with direct access to the lobby.

There's a review here from 3months ago providing the feedback that the ground floor rooms are extremely loud. Clearly nothing has been done to address this situation, I stayed for two nights and barely got any sleep with all the noise from reception and the hallway. The street door is not open by key, at night I walked right in and noone was at reception either. This made me feel extremely unsafe, having lived in Brussels and having had break-ins I then noticed that my room door has clearly been broken into before and repaired (attaching a picture). The entrance is cosy, the beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast was nice, but overall I would not recommend a stay here.

It´s not difficult to park nearby. Do not forget to pay the parking. Fines are hard!We have to pay everywhere! The hotel is very well situated, in a calm area. The staff is so kind and helpful! I really enjoyed being there twice.I strongly recommend it!

Cosy, stylish and comfy hotel in central Brussels. The Design, the supportive reception team and a very quiet room made my stay super enjoyable. I shall return to Hygge with pleasure!

I found the hotel thanks to Apple Navigator and it was just upside the road next to the Apple 🍎 store where I was. I walked in made a reservation for one night but stayed several nights because I loved it 😍 so much, an amazing hedonist spot with good vibrations and immediately had a strong connection with the beautiful front office staff Esther, Cédric, Louis and all the others and with the breakfast/housekeeping staff. Hygge hotel is a real gem 💎. Later I stayed at Nhow Bloom and The Hotel and can recommend them all, of course all different, all in their own identity and service level but all toppers in their league and rapport price/quality/service. This is a lovely, boutique hotel located on a quiet street above the main upscale shopping street in Brussels and within a 15 minute walk of The Grand Place and other city highlights. Great, modern design and sleek rooms. Breakfast buffet was very good for the price. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It is either a new hotel or compleatly newly renovated. Everything is new and modern, accesorised with lots of style. The lobby smelled so nice i had to ask what roomparfume are they using and they wrote me down the name! The cleaning lady gave me an extra sheet and towel and cleaned our room in between our days to the perfection. Breakfastbuffet was awesome and the coffee was good too

We had reached the hotel for almost two minutes. when we went inside the hotel to check in, and we asked the reception if there is any problem to park in front of the hotel or not, he said that it is completely safe and secure. When we returned, we found out that the thief broke the car window and stole all our belongings. I went to the reception again to call the police, when my wife was attacked and her bag was stolen. While we waited half an hour for the police to come, we realized that this theft is a common problem around this hotel because five other tourists witnessed a similar theft from their car in that half hour. We were very upset that the reception didn't warn us even though this theft happened frequently there, and we were very shocked and immediately returned to our country and couldn't even use our room. We even asked the hotel for parking for one night because the car window was broken and it was not safe to park outside, the hotel management completely refused to help us.
