This store has the most delicious chocolate. We stumbled upon this shop by chance on our last day in the city and decided to just buy some chocolates here. Little did we know at the time what a treasure of a chocolatier this really was. The choices are great and the prices are fair for artisanal chocolate. I would recommend the saffron chocolate, it's absolutely divine!

One of the best chocolatiers in Brugge. After trying at least 4 chocolatiers around, we settled on Van Oost being our favorite.

INCREDIBLE chocolate! The marshmallow one, the salted caramel, the "speculoos" (gingerbread) flavor one - they are all delicious, and the store is so charming, especially compared to a lot of the over-the-top theatrical shops. We happened to just wander in and are so glad we did. (Bonus: it's right down the street from the House of Waffles)

We tried so many chocolate shops, all in the name of research of course. Haha. But, of all, we LOVED Van Oost! Simply amazing chocolatier in beautiful Bruges! We even had to go back and get more once we had tried them all. Do yourself a favor and stop here when you visit Bruges.

Ordered a lot of chocolate here. He makes it himself and his wife is selling it in the shop.

Best chocolate we had in Belgium

Small independent chocolatiere with the lovely idea of seasonal production - in this case the delicious walnuts in a panache. Chocolates are nicely presented and not too cluttered. Found through local recommendation.

We sample chocolates from about 10 different small chocolatiers in Bruges and decided this was the best. Best for the quality of the chocolate, and if you want them with strong flavours and not too sweet

Of all the (MANY) chocolates I tried in Belgium, these were my favorites. The owners were friendly and welcoming, and you could see the chocolates being made in the back—so yoU know they’re fresh and handmade. The fillings were unique and incredibly well done—I especially liked the gin and tonic one. I hope they soon find a way to export to the US because I’d love to get more—I can’t believe I didn’t buy more to bring home!!
