The Kraft single on top made this omelette look really unappealing. Cut it open bacon was super dry and salty. Sausage had a strange flavor can’t really describe it and the ham was ham no complains there. For $13 could’ve been way better. But I will still give a Doug score . Styling: that Kraft single ain’t it chief 0/10 Acceleration: 4 out of 10, you can't eat it too fast or you'll choke. Handling: 2/10 kind of hard to handle need two separate utensils. Fun Factor: 2/10 not that fun. Cool Factor: 5/10 not that cool. giving that an overall 13 on the weekend score. Features: I think they charged me a dollar for some butter I got . Other places don’t charge but hey it’s a business so I get it 4/10 Comfort: 6/10 it’s actually a comfy place old school vibe . Quality: 4/10 Practicality: 5/10 Value: 4/10 giving that a 23 for weekday score. All in all scoring a 36/100 on the Doug Score Metrics. placing it next to the 1988 Volga GAZ 24-10 and the 1992 Geo Metro convertible

Yummo! Love it when a traditional old school diner serves up the comfort food you want. We had breakfast and all the food was great. Special thanks for doing crispy hashbrowns exactly as we both ordered. Big portions! They were busy and we lacked nothing in service. Always full beverages. Quick removal of empty dishes. Couple of check ins during our feast. $38 for 2 giant breakfasts plus coffee and pop. Super value!

We have heard so many good things about this place, so we stopped in. The parking lot was packed, but the place is bigger than it looks. We got seated right away. Great service. Awesome food. The menu is extensive. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked great. The breakfast was amazing and everything is very reasonably priced. The giant bowl of vegetable beef soup was packed with fresh vegetables and big chunks of roast beef. We will be back!

If you like food and great service this is a must go to place. It reminds me of the old time dinners with great food and reasonable prices. I stopped on Saturday as the young grandkids told me it was great! Then stopped Monday before leaving town, great both times! Staff very friendly and they serve you fairly quickly even when packed! Overall great place, I will definitely be back. This beats the big chains hands down! Great job!

Service was good. Until they separated part of our table about 3” and sat another couple right next to us. All the food was cold. Been coming here occasionally for 20+ years. Will probably not come back. Going down hill fast.

Tried the gyro and feta omelet today. Was totally worth it if you are a fan of anything greek. Overflowing with meat and feta cheese. Even when busy we still didn't wait as long as we would have in the lobby of another restaurant. Love this place

This place is a very small but friendly family restaurant with good comfort foods. I went here for breakfast. The place was packed with ppl. It's a small restaurant but it's located in an industrial park area and has plenty of parking. There are some Greek menu items. I had a gyro omelette. The portions are gigantic and I couldn't finish my omelette. The country fried steak my friend had looked so delicious. It was definitely not a paper thin country fried steak and was covered in gravy. We had coffee. The place seemed full of local ppl. Great breakfast spot. We did have to wait for our seat but not too long and considering how busy the place was very fast courteous service. Lots of good local flavor and down home comfort food.

Amazing food. If you leave hungry that's your own fault. Place was crazy busy but we still got sat right away. Ordered quickly and the food came out fast.

We always like going here! The staff is friendly & knows us. Really enjoy the food. Doesn't matter what meal we go in for, we find items we love. I always like the Denver omelet or the French toast with strawberries & whipped cream, but the standards are also hard to beat.

We have eaten at Johnnie Mars for years. I have never had any thing there that wasn't delicious. I would go there if the food wasn't very good because the people are awesome! I don't know how they provide such great food and service at such a low price!

Today, we had a family lunch. My son had the gyro and feta omelete, which looked really good. I had breakfast #1, which was very good. My daughter also had an omelet. The food was great and fresh. Felt like we were not that important to the server, but she was nice when she did come to our table.

I love old diners and I really wanted to like this place. But for out of towners who are just passing through, I feel like our expectations were too high. The restaurant feels dirty—there was trash (a crumpled up regular sized dinner napkin) on the floor near our booth that laid there until halfway though our meal. A big rip in the booth seating where I sat. My Greek salad had one olive in it and a very basic salad mix, no fresh greens. My son’s side salad was all iceberg. Our corn looked like it was straight from a can. The beef noodle soup had a congealed texture and very little taste to it. Just a very basic place. Keep the expectations really low. Not Sioux City’s best.

A great locally owned hidden treasure. Located in an obscure building near Sioux Bee Honey this locally owned dinner never disappoints. With a Greek flair and American fare, the quality is dependably consistent and so are the staff. The daily specials and desserts are delicious and the atmosphere makes you forget you're in the city for a moment. It always seems to be busy, but there is rarely a wait. I would definitely recommend supporting this wonderful establishment.

What a great diner! I stopped for dinner on a Tuesday around 6 pm and the place was packed. It was not that large, but there were a lot of people there. I was brought a menu and my drink order was taken right away. She took my order when she delivered my drink and after a short time my mail was served. This looked really good. The turkey was hand carved and very moist and tender. The mashed potatoes were good as well and everything was smothered in a wonderful gravy. I really thought that for the money, this would be a small portion of turkey and boy was I wrong… This place has GREAT value for the dollar. The service was fast and efficient and overall, this was a wonderful dinner. I will definitely be back when I’m in town.

Service was impeccable! They knew what I needed before I ever asked. Food was great and we loved the old times feeling. Thank you for a great experience

Quick courteous service, especially for how packed this restaurant is. Clean, busy atmosphere with a scent of great food cooking. Food is filling, homey, and well crafted. Definitely would recommend.

Ate here lastnight. Food was pretty good. Only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was because the homemade spaghetti sauce, had cinnamon or nutmeg or something of that nature in it and it wasn't good. My son didn't like it. Please change that. That doesn't belong in it.

I was craving a simple breakfast of hashbrowns, bacon and eggs. My date took me here since i haven't been in a couple years and I didn't want fast food. Just as good as I remember 😊

Been here many times in my life and the food is always fire, this place is great if you're looking for old school American dishes, comfort food, or breakfast far greater than iHop or Perkins. The prices are pretty well rounded too.

One of my favorite places to eat. All the food is delicious! My favorites are the Greek salad, biscuit and gravy, waffles with strawberries and whip cream and pancakes. The waitresses are always friendly and the atmosphere is like you are eating in a small town cafe.

We loved it! The minute we walked in, it reminded me of a restaurant in my home town in NE that is now closed. Talk about good old fashioned home-cooking!! 😋 But yet... the menu had a wide variety to choose from. Patty Melt & Clam Chowder for me. Both were great!
