This place is a gem. It's totally worth veering off the interstate for some quality Mexican food. I've tried a few different things on the menu and have been impressed by the flavors! The carrots on the side are delightful. I went with a chicken burrito special this time with beans and rice and I sent back a clean plate. 🍽 This is a hidden gem and I love to stop by. Make sure you bring cash because they don't take a card, but other than that this place is aces. La Juanita's is muy beuno!! :)🌮🌮🌮

Aw yes, the legend of the tacos from the gods is still accurate! We drove from Sioux Falls just to grab some steak, chicken, and chorizo tacos. They are still the best tacos around. Highly recommend eating here! Even if you have to drive 1.5 hours.

Super fast service and food is delicious , highly recommended it . Better have patience because it's always full . It's cash only , there's an ATM at the location with a 2.25 fee , be prepared .

Sioux city native. Have gone here since about 2010. Recently, I only go maybe once a month due to inconsistency in pricing, and quality. Sometimes there is tax, sometimes not, sometimes outright overcharged by 2-3 dollars. Likely because the people behind the counter are regularly doing head math. Food is good like 60% of the time. I understand that giving people receipts would slow things down a bit, but they have to fix something. I hear more and more people, almost all non Spanish speaking, complaining about this. Lastly, hygiene needs an upgrade.

Best Tacos 💯. Everyone should try their Cow Tongue Tacos 👌🏼 Delicious!! Also recommend their Burritos and Pineapple Water.

Small place, custumers were very diversified. First time here. The shrimp cocktail which is awesome. Very awesome! Flavorful hot sauce and a very good menu. The meals are of decent size, you wont leave hungry. They only take cash so bring about $30 for a couple.

Recommend 2 people taking orders for people who are ordering and leaving .@people who are ordering and dining inn so there's not a long line waiting all the way outside the back door. If waiting in line didn't take so long I would probably visit the restaurant more often. Better lighting outside in the parking area I would recommend an additional TV and music playing/ orders being yelled out a intercom would be great 👍

I use to love coming back home to Iowa for the best taqueria. But now I think I have to find a new spot after last night. Ordered three things and somehow I felt like I was overcharged. As I held a $20 bill in my hand he automatically saw that and said “$20”. I ordered two $6.50 burritos & one $4.50 taco dinner. They gave no receipt. So even if taxes were implemented, it still did not add up. On top of that I ordered two burritos, one with everything and one without onions and salsa. I got both burritos with no onions and cilantro. Just because it’s faster and convenient to mess up an order , it’s still about the satisfaction of having an order the way a customer likes it. La Juanita’s really had gone down hill.

Food is AMAZING! Super authentic! Everything was good! The neighborhood is super sketch tho so atmosphere got a 1 🌟.... not too far off the highway tho, and is open till 1am!

If it says cash only, chances are high it will be your best meal all week 😋😋. Delicious! Cheap! A lot of meats!! Gigantic drinks for cheap!! Beautiful restaurant. They had these spicy carrots that were probably the best I'd ever had in my life.

Usually hit La Juanita’s for the tacos but they have some great tostadas too!

I have been a long time customer. I reside in sioux falls but any chance I've gotten to make it to sioux city Juanitas is the first place we stop. I've been coming here for nearly 20 years. ❤️❤️❤️ food is always amazing. See you later this week! I've been dreaming about it since April lol

I've been visiting this place since I was a teenager. Well over 20 years. Still as good as it ever was. They've gone a little heavier on the beans in there steak burrito then they used to probably cost of meat. There fish tacos are fire and those are my go to. They have lots of good food here. The pork is also delicious.

It'd be five stars if it weren't for the location. There are a lot of unsavory characters and the location is strife with riffraff. Food is served up quickly after ordering; it's bomb AF and inexpensive. Plus thanks to the late hours of operation, a great way to sober up. "La Jua's" is a destination of sorts and a Sioux City staple of Hispanic cuisine.

The food is the BEST!! The building may not be in very good shape but look at what part of sioux city it's in.. not a ship-shape area. Highly recommend the food though!!

The food is always good. My only beef with this place is when it gets busy. Parking is limited, and the order line will usually go to the door. However, the staff are really efficient and speedy.

A true highlight of coming to Sioux City is getting to go to La Juanita. The service is always fast, the food is always good and extremely cheap. Everyone working is friendly and I can promise that any time I am in Sioux City, I’ll be swinging by here, getting a burrito and taking a quick mirror selfie so my friends in Sioux City know I’m in town.

Love La Juas! Used to be a burrito girl but now I love the tacos! Been coming since 2015 when I started college. It’s even good delivered.

they do not sacrifice quality for speed, about 3 minutes after i sat down my name was called for my order and it was very hot and delicious! they don’t have a salsa bar which i thought was strange. the prices were cheap in my opinion and i will definitely be coming back. didn’t give five stars because the person that took my order was not friendly

Was recommended to me by 2 different people. Was not disappointed. There was about a 15 minute wait in line. After placing my order I had my food in less than 5 minutes. Great food. Would definitely recommend. AA+.

Best well known secret spot in Sioux city. If you're from out of town, this is one of the food spots you are REQUIRED to go to. Mexican food by the truckload. Open kitchen so you can watch them cook everything. CASH ONLY, but worth every second spent at the ATM (there's one inside just in case you forget)

Really great authentic Mexican delights. All without breaking the bank, but remember to bring cash if possible. No checks and they do have an ATM if needed. There is a nice variety of all sorts of dishes that may not be visually what you're used to, but your taste buds will love. The Pina (Pineapple drink) is a personal favorite, along with the tacos. This place can be packed during peak hours, but the line moves pretty decently. The line will usually lead towards the steps at the rear that goes to the larger back parking lot. Prices are very reasonable and near everything is made fresh on the spot. The "Green Sauce" is popular, just ask for it.
