We were in town for college orientation and found this place. Brianna, the host/waitress was very nice and helpful! It's a small restaurant and that is more for deliveries and grab and go but you can eat there too! We decided to eat there since it was just me and my husband. We had asada, birria and pastor tacos, chips and salsa and drinks:) we each got 5 tacos, a drink and shared chips and salsa. We spent less then $40 which I thought was good. The place is really cute, clean and had a good vibe. Brianna was very nice and helpful. Food was so good and priced just right!! We will be back here when we visit our son!!

Tacos are a food group, that is not a question. Need converting to that fact? 😄Head over to 6th & Pearl to Tacos El Guero for delicious street tacos stuffed with your choice of meat. Today was carne asada, chicken, onion and cilantro. Grab a bottle of hot sauce from the fridge case for the table 👌 salsa verde sweet and yummy as always. Washed it down with some cantaloupe drink. Cash only (an atm is onsite), street parking that’s free on the weekends, closed Monday. Worthy stop if tacos make you happy.

The food was decent, so I can't rate it too low overall, because that's the most important in my eyes. It was around $8.50 for three chicken tacos, adding sour cream. A few things to note, though: -My chicken tacos didn't really look like chicken, as you can see. Not entirely sure it even was. They tasted good, though! -They aren't open for dine-in, which is silly to me. The dining area is very small anyway, not sure what the big deal is. Being downtown where a lot of people walk in for a quick lunch from work, this would be an expectation if it were me walking in. -They weren't rude, but weren't super friendly or talkative either. They were more interested in talking with each other, instead of the guests that were standing there. Not the end of the world, but not outstanding customer service. -They wanted $2.50 for a can of soda. Say what?!?

One of the last places I expected to find great authentic Mexican food was the State of Iowa while driving cross country. 🤔 This place was incredible. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait, but please know that it is worth it. I have had the privilege of growing up around the Mexican community in Georgia and just the smell as I walked in the door brought back those memories. I love that they give giant cups of their delicious Jamaica (there's other drinks too, but that's jst what I got) and the food is made hot and ready to order. I hope you stop in to give these friendly people's food a try!

Quaint, little Mexican restaurant that is cash only. They are closed on Mondays. Order at the counter and the server will bring the meal to the table. Has a limited menu, but includes all the basic Mexican food favorites. I ate Chips and Queso (white sauce) and the enchiladas with rice and beans. I enjoyed my meal. I recommend visiting Tacos El Guero.

Real good authentic tacos! The flavors are the same you’ll find in Mexico no joke. Prices are great too, but only cash!

I miss going here. I lived in Sioux city for several years and this was a go to for cheap authentic tacos in downtown. Just as good as La Juanitas. But La Juanitas is still great too.

Went here for evening tacos on the 28th of July. Nice place with a few tables - looks like a local favourite place to go. Good mood amongst the staff laughing and singing in the back. Nice and polite service. We ordered tacos, chips/salsa and bottled water. The food was nice - tacos tasted fresh and as expected. Definitely a place to drop by again if in the neighbourhood.

Had to lower my review, unfortunately over the last 2 years the quality has gone down so much. I use to order almost daily when I was at work because it a cheaper option and the food was so good. Now I order maybe once every couple months. The burritos usually have hard shells, burnt meat or very light on the fillings. It's hard to pay $9 or more for something that's not as good as it once was. I'll keep trying the food from here in hopes it gets back to what it once was.

Amazing food! I hope they expand to Sioux Falls so I can get it more often!

I ordered special tacos. When I picked up order. It was not what I order. Instead of apologizing and fixing my order cause I get same thing every time. The lady at counter wanted to argue about what I ordered. I wasn’t there to argue I just wanted what I ordered.

It has not changed for the better, but it can be good I just haven’t figured out the staff. Sometimes my order is perfect but that’s not the case most of the time. Got a steak burrito it just came with meat and cheese and the cheese was off.

Not the greatest, ,,the asada burrito and tacos were not done all the way and when asked for a glass of water it was 50 cents extra and the goal was irritated when asked where the hot sauce was ,,she said in the fridge,,so basically get up and get it yourself,,

The girl taking orders was pretty nice and the food got to us quickly but maybe too quickly… The asada tacos were still a little red and squishy had to put lots of hot sauce on them to even be able to finish them. The tacos de tripa were inedible. Don’t know where the old cooks went but they definitely need them back.

Simply the best. Food is perfect every time. Love the red hot sauce, wish I could get some to bring with me to Iowa City.

This is most definitely a small Mom and Pop place. We had street tacos, they were super tasty amd satisfying. They are small, as street tacos should be, with your choice of meat, some onions. Yes, I would come back for more!

We had the birria pizza and carne asada. Seriously delicious! We live two hours away but I think we will have to make a special trip back

Over the last 6 months, I've called quite a few times to place an order for pick up. Almost every time I've called, it rings a one or two times and then hangs up. Once in a blue moon someone actually picks up the phone to take my order. Most of the time they hang up on me. Tonight was the last time that I'm getting hung up on. I was hungry and wanted to purchase a meal from them but I can't because I called 3 times and was hung up on all 3 times. I like tacos elaguero, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

This place is amazing, the food is fantastic, and the staff and service is great! I dined in thus time, and they make the food fresh and serve it hot. I'm fully convinced that this is the best authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. If you come here, you must try the birria tacos, they are just perfect. I will definitely be coming here more often because I was blown away.

What a treat. I had a feast of street tacos, asada, pastor and chorizo. They were loaded with meat, not too fatty, everything perfectly spiced and flavourful. Had a side of rice and beans which was also amazing. Recommended to anyone in sioux city looking for some authentic mexican street foods
