Local favorite Mexican place. This place is different than others you’ll find. Been in existence for many decades and by the same wonderful family. You’re seeing meet n cheese nachos and then a couple burritos with chili gravy on top. Both great options, but it’s hard to find a bad choice here. They make their own home made hot sauce which is also hard to stay away from. The experience is half the fun, as this is not commercialized, and the place visually is no where near flashy. But, you’re attending for the food, and the service, both of which have a pretty good record. You should make this place a stop.

Sioux City staple, no frills Mexican joint, cash only. Plentiful chips, good salsa with some heat, and ground beef tacos, burritos and enchiladas. Can’t beat the prices. Gave us a new cup with each soda refill. New to town and everyone kept telling us we gotta go, would totes go back to try the taco salad. Call in an order and park in the lot and they’ll bring it out to you.

Best in town! Been eating here since I was a child at various locations! Food is consistently great! Staff are friendly, efficient, and fun and the prices are great. We went with 9 people recently, total was under $65 and that was with 5 orders of Nachos. (This location is different than the Riverside location, this one is worth the drive across town!)

I've been eating at Navarre's since 1992 . My three children also grew up eating here. Sonny and Adela and and their family have been a part of ours. My kids still go there with their kids now. I would have recommended this place to anyone. The waiters and waitresses are nice and friendly. It is a family run establishment. They make sure that you are happy and will taken care of. The hot sauce is to die for. The flower combination chalupas are excellent. And they will make your order the way you want.

Disgusted and mocked by owner. I wouldn't return to this place if it was the only restaurant in town! We were overcharged and when we asked about it the owner belittled me and my gf. After explaining the math about the extra charge He freaked out on us and said what do you want me to charge you even more??? Laughing at us

Had the nachos and burrito and enchilada special. It was delicious and the hot sauce was excellent!! Great service, too! I'm stopping every time I pass through Sioux City!

I ordered taco salad with extra olives. Not a single olive. Also asked for all the extras. This is almost. no lettuce.the Whole order is less than 1% of what it should have been. Never eating here again.

Been a while since I was back up in Sioux City, IA, but knew we needed to eat there. Always has a welcoming atmosphere, fast service and food is amazing. Beef enchilada and a couple tacos is always a great meal.

Food was okay. Nothing outstanding. Not my first choice for Mexican food in the area. The portions and prices were great. The dining area was dirty and dingy.

Service was good, but that's the only thing that was good here. Nacho chips were stale and bland. Hot sauce was definitely tomato paste based, odd texture and not at all good. If they are actually known for their salsa/ hot sauce, I've lost some faith in humanity. Lunch portion (full size) of taco salad was tiny. I usually think it's tough to mess up a taco salad, but this place managed to do it. I did not get ill, so I'll give them a little credit on that . It's a pretty low bar to meet, but successful there.

I always lol ffor an opportunity to here when I get me. Get theae giant servings, fresh and tastey all then time...no longer. Half the size, no sauce on the table, and skimpy on the extra's. Only shining moment was a nice waiter. Hoping memories wont be the only bright apot next time I go home.
