9/7/23 DELICIOUS Street tacos and the dip is AMAZING!

Had to do take out. Would have loved to have dined in. Got the fajita trio, steak chicken and shrimp. Best salsa and chips, even to go. And the rainbow frozen margarita were fantastic.

I have been on a Shrimp kick - and the shrimp chimichangas did not disappoint!! Very tasty and do recommend!

I really like the new look of the menus. Also I noticed some new food options. Overall my experience was amazing and I will definetly be back here

I do not visit Souix City often but, the last time I came here my food was OK. This visit they serve me chicken enchiladas and my meat was raw. How do you serve a customer raw meat. I’m never visit this place ever again. Before I could take picture the waiter took the plate to throw away. The manager came and told me don’t worry about paying for my meal. But, just think how many ppl have been done like this. I will never come back to this place again. It is not recommend

I think our favorite part about our visit was that the cheese dip was delicious. It was slightly spicy enough for my husband and just not spicy enough for me. The service and speed here was unmatched, they made sure to refill our drinks quickly and I was surprised how fast the food came out. My only conplaint is I've had better carne at other places but otherwise, pretty good.

Monterrey has it all. Fast service - check. Chips and an excellent salsa on your table within 30s of being seated. Margaritas - check. Perfect mix of tequila frozen or on the rocks. Generous portions - check. Single chicken fajita is easily portioned for two people and is always fresh and served sizzling hot. Service overall - check. Victor and the same team have been seating us for years. Best money I spend every week. Enjoy!!

Absolutely love this place. Friendly staff, don't have to wait long for your food and good prices. My family and I eat here at least once a month.

I absolutely loved my Sky MARGARITAS . This place has just skyrocketed to the top of my favorites list with this drink. The Fajitas are all so good. As soon as I see new in front of the name it becomes a must try it for me. There's no doubt in my mind that the good folks here know exactly what they are doing and they do it well. MUCH RESPECT !!!

Had work party here tonight and it was the most fun I have had in a long time. The guys were great and took very good care of us.

I was highly disappointed. My food was bland with no flavor. I had two chimichangas one with steak fajitas the other with grilled chicken. I received a large plate of food. The beans and rice also bland. I tried adding salt and pepper. I purchased grilled onions and peppers and salsa to improve flavor but it didn’t really help. My husband had the enchiladas and they were dry and bland too. I only ate a few bites and was unable to force myself to keep eating. We spent a about $40 for a few bites of food that was unpalatable to both of us. We told the waiter that we were dissatisfied with our food. He asked us if we wanted our food to go. We couldn’t eat it now despite being hungry. Why would we want it to go? We were not offered so much as an apology. We paid our tab and left. We will not be back.

The food was really good in the waiter was really nice, the only downside of this was they would bring out your meal at separate times so different people are eating at different times. The fajita burrito was really good. Would recommend this place.

Excellent from start to finish! Seated promptly and taken care of by Jose who did a fantastic job. Drinks were made perfectly and food was delicious and plentiful by a big eaters standard. Best meal we had all week traveling west to the national parks of South Dakota. We shared pictures of our trip with Jose who responded in kind with his memorable trips. 5 stars for Monterrey Mexican restaurant! A can’t miss.

Delicious mexican food with a large menu! I had the fajitas volcan minus the mushrooms and it was awesome. My sister also had a fajita and we both walked out with enough food for a second meal. Salsa tasted fresh and they dont skimp out on chips. Only regret here was not ordering the queso as an appetizer as it was tasty in my fajitas! Job well done Monterrey!

Only reason it gets one star is bc I can’t put 0. Not going to write a long review, but obviously this food is for white people in Iowa. You can get better quality, more food, seasoned better, better drinks, for HALF the price in TX.

We enjoyed a lunch stop here on vacation. Awesome service. The chips and salsa were great, and the vegetarian fajitas were very good.

We had a great time with great food and service! The fried ice cream was great, too.

Strawberry margaritas were sour. Their machine probably needs cleaned. We waited 5 minutes for silverware after we got our food, which took 35 minutes. Not typical for Mexican restaurants. Chicken was dry, and beans had no flavor. These restaurants are much better in Des Moines than Sioux City.

The wife and myself came in after classes for dinner. Our server was super nice and funny. The service was prompt and the food came out really quick! Been too long since we had been here and we will totally be back soon!
