At check in it went ok. Aside from almost getting room for free because front desk thought it was already paid for and didnt want to take my card when i insisted i did not pay online. Room was stuffy bedding had stains on it. Pillows were tiny and looked old. Bathroom looked nice, but toilet had issues with flushing and fan didnt work. Then out came the roaches at night. They were crawling on the tv and dresser. The pool had flakes of paint peeling off the bottom and water was all over in puddles around pool. Pool bathroom was gross and not cleaned. There was no towels, notified and asked front desk but they couldnt care less. They looked way to stoned out of their mind to help us with getting anything from the moment we checked in. Definitely not as nice as i thought it was going to be by the looks of online photos.

Extremely disappointing to see hot tub was turned into a storage closet. The pool needs repair and the bathroom area needs a remodel. Room was functional but lackluster. Breakfast was basic. Next time we will try another hotel. Plenty of options in SC Iowa.

I gave it a low star at service because they allowed a friend who was meeting us to swim in to our room before we arrived and checked in! Other than that the water was hot, nice beds, staff was friendly. Good price amazing lobby. Breakfast was good to.

Stayed the weekend while visiting family. Rooms were clean. Every night we came back to fresh towels and made beds. Breakfast had many things to pick from. That is always a bonus in my mind. Staff was friendly also.

This is not a very expensive hotel stay. The property is fairly well kept up on the outside. The room we had however had stains on carpet and on a chair. The room did not smell but it was very run down. TV worked. The pillows were too small. I slept comfortably though and had good sleep. It's a nice moderate hotel but certainly nothing fancy. Has a nice location off main highways.

Typical Wyndham property. Wouldn’t have booked if I had realized it was in the chain, but I didn’t realize until too late. Rooms are dark and furniture has stains. My room, despite being non-smoking, was smoky (something that has been the same at every Wyndham property I’ve stayed at). No elevators at the property either. Overall well below the average standard of a hotel. Staff and breakfast were fine, however. Pros are the price and that’s about it. If you can swing staying somewhere else, avoid this place. Not worth it.

I was only here for a night. At check in the guy clearly was more interested in whatever was on his phone than gettin me checked in seeing that a line was starting to form behind me. He didn’t speak so I had to say something first.. the room definitely had a musty smell to it but the bed was clean n comfy

friendly employee at check in, and then the visit went downhill. AC in room smelled like mildew and bathroom was full of mold. Terrible lumpy pillows. Room was very dark even with all lamps on, and several outlets did not work. Pool was cold but pool room was about 110 degrees. No jacuzzi. No elevator. For $200/night it was just shocking how terrible this hotel was.

We booked here for one night as a quick stop for a much longer trip. When we arrived at the hotel ready to check in, the front desk staff was nowhere to be found. That's not too abnormal in and of itself, as they can have other duties that require them to leave the desk unattended from time to time. In this instance however, that wasn't the case. After waiting patiently for about five minutes for someone to return, we ended up calling the hotel, telling the person who answered that we'd like to check in. It turned out that the guy who was responsible for the front desk was sitting there in the lobby video chatting with his mother (it was clearly visible on his phone as he came over to help us), and continuing the video call as he was getting us checked in. Once we finally got to the room, we could clearly hear people talking out in the hallway and in other rooms. Not a great stay, and we'll be looking elsewhere the next time we are in town.

Highly do not recommend and here's why: Owner stopped my little girls birthday party and told us to leave! I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I had guests coming and everything with no where to go...All over me putting pizza and wings in the breakfast area because I had handicapped people coming who couldn't get up their stairs, with no handicapped suites downstairs. My little girl will never get her birthday party back and the owner laughed and said he would call the police. Oh yeah, he said other hotels don't allow parties at their businesses. I laughed at him, just another businessman who takes your money and lives out in the Dunes with it. -18,000 stars from me. ( had to put one star to get this to post)

Very horrible experience. We rented out a suite for a birthday party. Told the manager 2 weeks ago and the manager said that they have it all the time. We get there and people start showing up and the worker kicks us out for having a little kids bday party and the balloons offended the worker. So much disrespect and unprofessionalism. We even asked where in the contract it says we can't have a bday party and he refused. Would not recommend or give them the time nor the money. Rooms were moldy and smelled musty

10/10 would NOT recommend staying here, bad service, the boss at front desk has terrible customer service, breakfast really bland. If you have pets with you they wont tell you lets arent allowed until the next morning telling you, you have to leave cause of that.

I booked room on line. When I got there I had a second floor room. Stairs only, which aren't really that bad. But if you have to drag a suitcase up stairs..... When I complained about room being on second floor I was told since it was booked online that's where my room was. Room was nice, bed comfortable, clean. When I turned on the heater it set fire alarm off. Bad smell from not being on. Staff opened windows, offered to change my room then, or give discount. Overall, I would recommend a stay.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights. I was so happy when I found out he was able to get a room on first floor because I have am waiting for knee replacements in both knees so it's hard for me to do stairs. They have an excellent complimentary breakfast. Bagels, sausage, fried and hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, muffins, strudels, and waffles. They have a juice machine that has both orange and apple juice. They have milk for the cereal. They offer coffee 24/7. They have 2 different kinds. 2 kinds of creamer, half and half, sweetener, and sugar.

We've stayed at this hotel a few times we always get a jacuzzi suite we always get treated very well staff is always very kind and the price is great however we spent Saturday and Sunday there my wedding was Saturday i took my earings from the wedding off and left them on the stand Unfortunately we were in a hurry to leave this morning and I forgot to grab my earrings and a bag of makeup..... I just calmed down to talk to the receptionist he confirmed my room had not been cleaned yet so I asked if I could come look just for peace of mind and he hung up on me the housekeeper I met on Saturday seemed nice as can be and I can't imagine her ever taking anything especially after I gave her a $10 tip this dude however...... Should not be working customer service

My better half is a neat freak, so I'm sitting in the parking lot reading the reviews for this place that I picked while she is reserving a room. My guess was we night be going somewhere else, but no, she reserved a stay for the night. No bugs, no cigarette smell, no blood on mattresses, maybe we got lucky, but the parking lot was almost full the following morning, Sure, not the most up to date place to stay, but a good nights sleep, only heard one train. Will stay again if we ever pass tgrough again!

I spelt fine, BUT room spelt horrible!, the smoke detector was off the walls, so they fixed it, THEN it wouldn’t stop beeping so we had to get that fixed! The pool was fine I guess but weird because you have to take a shower first????

Staff was super friendly! Our suite was clean and comfy! Pool was nice and the area was kept very clean and a lot of things are within walking distance (restaurants, Walmart, icerink, baseball field!) Plus it's a short drive to just about everything else around town thanks to the interstate & highway 75 being right there

The motel decided to asphalt the parking lot on the Friday we arrived (6/10/22) they did one part on Friday and second half on Sat. (big inconveniece for parking) My tv remote didn't work; front desk needed to get batteries. Could only get about 4 channels (Disney, Nicklelodeon, Ion television and a news channel) The chair and ottoman in the room were very worn; didn't want to sit on it; not sure how clean it was. My niece was told they had no extra pillows or blankets and was given 2 sheets. I will NEVER stay here again!!

First room toilet was running and several lights didn’t work. Second room had damaged desk and only half lights worked. Holes in carpet and very dirty and stained. Worst night in a hotel in years. We did not stay and left around 4:30 as we were so uncomfortable. Needs a major overhaul.

We made a reservation last minute at this place because the pictures online made it look alright and their website said their was a pool. Our room was not particularly clean, stains on the carpet and bed skirts. The stains were along both sides of one of the beds. Just a little unsettling. The hotel was so busy with so many people in the pool area we couldn’t even use it . There were wet kids going in and out of the pool to the outside of the hotel that the floors in the lobby were wet. Is there an elevator? Never saw one and even looked around for one and the front desk never mentioned it. We just lugged our bags up to the second floor. We didn’t try breakfast, again because it was so busy the night before that we figured it would be crowded. Went to Starbucks a few miles away. All that being said, the front desk staff in the evening and morning were really nice. Our room was super quiet. I think they placed us away from the large group that was there and on the other side of the building we never heard anyone.

The hotel was clean and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Although the lobby was clean, it was a bit warm. The pool was well kept. Amazing water pressure for a room on the second floor! We will definitely be staying again as we make a trip to the area 3-4 times a year

I'm not the one who did the check-in process so I didn't have any staff interaction to review that fairly, but our room was in desperate need of care. One of the switches in the bathroom didn't work (I assume it was supposed to be for the fan), the lights by the beds did not work but the others did. There were a few holes in the wall and hardware missing from furniture. Not the worst but not great.

Had a fantastic stay! Was greeted with a warm welcome after being on the bike for almost 500 miles in 95 degree heat from Sturgis. Room was clean and shower was great and the bed was very comfortable! Check out was a breeze and the coffee and breakfast were great!! Restaurants within walking distance as well!!!! Would stay here again!

We were extremely pleased with our stay. The staff members were very friendly and most helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. I felt as if I was walking into a beautiful lodge, fireplace and everything in the lobby. We will definitely look for Americinn hotels wherever we travel from now on.

The staff are friendly and always do their best to accommodate you. Some rooms have mold in the shower area but it's still a great place to stay.
