Went here for there Ice Cream on a Saturday. And the hospitality and service was Awesome. Prices are reasonable and they also slow you to sample flavors before you buy. So you get exactly what you are looking for.

Nice place to grab some food. Chicken salad sandwich on crossaint was great, salad was fresh and location was fantastic, right next to the Falls. Ice cream was also really good, but I would love a smaller option as the Single was still pretty big.

We are a big fan of Sioux Falls and whenever we are in the area we come to this park and eat at this cafe. There is a lot of variety so there should be something on the menu for everyone. We generally like to sit outside so we can enjoy the falls and the view. And you can hike and take a walk around the area before or after you eat. I highly recommend!

Great spot at Falls Park! Convenient. Air Conditioned!! Nice staff, who seems to work hard. Great ice cream!! The pulled pork sandwich was on special, and I loved that it was served on a Pretzel bun. BBQ Pork Nachos were good. Grilled cheese with pesto was a hit, and the ham & cheese wrap from the deli was a success with a 16 year old picky eater.

Got a sandwich and a twisted tea , sat out on a gorgeous Friday afternoon and had lunch with my old Army buddy. So relaxing and the scenery was spectacular . They have different soups, sandwiches and desserts, also a gift shop. Tip: there's only a handful of tables outside. So check before you go, you'll see how full it is as you walk up. Worst case scenario you can eat indoors too

The Falls Overlook Cafe is a modern cafe in a great location. If seated outside, you could just about feel the mist from the falls in Falls Park, located in Sioux Falls, SD. The one thing that I would say is, don’t go here if you’re hungry and looking for a family meal. This place is more for the light lunch in the realm of a wrap, salad, or sandwich. If you’re wanting an open faced hot beef sandwich, you won’t find it in this style of cafe. This is more of your coffee shop style cafe… only without the coffee shop. That’s another thing to note, as you won’t find a selection of coffee options here. However, what you will find, is a good ice cream selection. More on the novelty side, where you get the ribbons of chocolate or caramel and chunks of chocolate and nuts. Staff was friendly and place was clean. We were assuming we’d be able to get more options for food and having coffee available, so we were a bit bummed. But as long as you know what they have going into it, and you’re ok with the limited menu, you’ll likely find this place a decent little stop.

The food was warmed. The buns were COLD! Is a nice place to meet up and have a quick bite. Sioux Falls is a fantastic place and rich history to visit.

This was a hidden gem. We went to just see the falls and found this amazing restaurant with the nicest staff. The food was amazing. I got the BCB burger, which was gigantic sized and so flavorful l, the pineapple salsa was a nice touch. Overall, you must stop at this place to eat their kettle chips. My picky 3 year old nephew loved them. The staff consistently checked on us and even gave us a bag of their homemade kettle chips to go. 20 out of 10 stars.

Really really neat place this time of year! Friendly staff with a unique menu and a great view! You have to come check out yourself to get full satisfaction! This place is full of nostalgia and brings back another great thing South Dakota has to offer!

Staff was nice here. We had delicious ice cream and a lovely view of the park. We took our ice cream on a walk around the park. Stop in and get a treat.

Craving iced coffee while visiting the falls? Better then the alternative we all know who... Not bitter, very decent iced coffee with a splash of milk. Not a milk fan? There's alternative available as well as creamer.

A pretty cool place to visit year around. City does a LOT of work and $$$ for light display. And Sioux River is a next visit Any time of year. Ice cream, hot drinks, inside the cafe.

Amazing place!! We were visiting from Texas and had our family ( including dogs) with us and we came here to take a break from the heat. Loved the ladies and young man that worked there!!! I can’t say enough about how wonderful and welcoming they were! food,drinks and of course ice cream made our visit to the falls perfect!! Even treated our fur-babies to some fresh cool water to cool them off!! Thank you all so much!! Please stop by and enjoy a break too!!! ♥️♥️♥️

Great lunch location after visiting the falls and a bike ride. We each had the bacon cheeseburger on pretzel bun with chips special for $13 and a drink. Very quick and tasty. We were stuffed! Highly recommended!

Nice that they allowed my well mannered dog to come in to cool off. She liked her hot dog and the vanilla ice cream was pretty good.

It's very good for what it is - don't go in there expecting a 5-star restaurant - it's a convenient cafe. Very nice staff, simple food, good view. Very interesting building with lots of pictures of its history. They have a few things (cold - like egg salad sandwich) ready-made so you don't have to wait which is nice. Ice cream is pretty good. It was busy when we went and they didn't seem to have enough staff, so it did take a while to get through the line. It's near enough to the meat processing plant that you can smell it sometimes, but that's an issue with the whole area - they can't do anything about it.

This is a very cute cafe. We only tried their ice cream today. We had a chocolate cookie and salty caramel. They really do have very nice ice cream. I guess the only down side is that it's quite pricey for an ice cream. This place is very spacious and of course a nice place to sit down and enjoy the view, hence the name overlook cafe. Highly recommend!

Greatest ice cream I've ever had after a long hot Day walking. It has a beautiful view of the falls. They're very general generous with their scoops considering the price and their cones are strong and don't fall apart. I would recommend going there!

Nice, cafe with different food options for different times of day. Nice patio area for warmer weather, but big area for seating inside when it's cold. Helpful staff. They also serve beer and wine in the evenings.

Giving a 2 star only because the place was beautiful, scenic filled with history and there was a DJ playing music. The food was overly disappointing and NOT worth the money. They used frozen food and felt like they microwaved it. I ordered a side of sausage links and I've seen this type of sausage from the frozen section. The berries and cream crepe. TRIPLE YUCK. Total disappointment. Pictures were beautifully staged BUT just frozen crepe -tasteless, paper thin and fell apart like flakes and frozen berries - tart, unsweet, mushy from being unfrozen. A well made crepe when pulled, tears as the floury cooked dough spring apart. When you use a fork to cut into it, you can feel the softness and smoothness as the fork slices through it. It also taste savory butterly and sometimes with a hint of sweetness. As for the inside, they just spoon in cream cheese inside. Not even whipped with sugar! No whipped cream either. Blah. Orange juice tasted like it was watered down. Concentrate? The food needs to be tweaked a couple notches to match the place. Management should revise their cooking methods.

Something must have changed because this can’t be the same cafe I just ate at after reading reviews. So annoyed I wasted $60 here. Food is garbage. Atmosphere outside is great but $7 is wild for a small cup of Kraft Mac n cheese with some shredded cheese on top of it…didn’t know it was possible to screw up a reuben but it definitely happened. The child’s pizza? Trash. The cheeseburger was topped with cheese and then I guess put under a heat lamp until it congealed onto the burger…I don’t know man, I think I could have better food for $60 elsewhere.

Spent some time walking around the falls and decided to have some lunch. Placed my order and about 20-25 minutes later they brought my food out. My friend was completely done with her meal by the time my food was brought to me. I paid $17 for this bottle of water and “chef salad”. Super disappointing and gross.

Quite atmosphere, the food was good and well prepared. The cashier was friendly and fast, the location is convenient if you are visiting the falls it is attached too. Prices are what you would expect for a niche restaurant.

Chili was extremely spicy as were the nachos. The layout is cafeteria style,no servers, just fyi. The cashier lines are such that it is hard to get around to get in line and they block access to the bathrooma or just walking thru. Needs to be improved.

Great location with a nice patio overlooking the falls. Good selection of food, clean restaurant and staff was friendly and helpful. I only ordered two ice creams and was disappointed in the taste/quality. They didn’t have any waffle cones (disappointing too) that day so we both had the farmhouse Vanilla and it tasted old, like it had freezer burn. We expected fresh homemade ice cream since it was advertised from the local Stensland Family Farm. I will be back to try the food but will skip the dessert next time.

We ordered a $13 hamburger and chips and it came out super cold! Had to go back to ask a girl to please microwave my just served food. After getting my hamburger microwaved it still tasted just like that, a disgusting microwaved hamburger. We had to throw it away. There is nothing fresh about anything. Very, very disappointed. I highly recommend you eat somewhere else. What a waste of my money and time! Would give zero stars if able!😡☹️🤮🤢

The overlook Cafe is pretty limited in food options, but we got the daily special and it was surprisingly good. The building is beautiful and eating while overlooking the falls right outside is a cool experience. Def recommend for a casual lunch spot.

Stopped by this Cafe for lunch recently. Parking in the adjacent small lot is great if you can find a spot. Otherwise, you will have a bit of a walk. Really a non issue considering that this whole area is worth walking. Ordered our lunch inside and it was brought out to our table on the very large patio overlooking the falls. Perfect afternoon setting. Food was good, staff was friendly and the place was clean. Would recommend and would return.

Kitchen isn't open on Sundays, so had to eat grab from the pre-made coolers. Wish we could've tried the menu, though. As someone who can not have ice cream, I was very happy to see they had non dairy treats available. The Strawberry Sorbet was wonderful, bursting with fresh flavor in every bite.

Very nice building with great views. The ice cream tasted terrible. We tried three different flavors and they all have the same odd aftertaste. I'd recommend sticking to the food.

Staff is slow and machines don't work. Food is good if you can get it but it would be better if we were held waiting for so long. Milkshakes are good when they're available.

It's October and there is snow on the ground but this Cafe was a warm sanctuary on our very cold trip to Falls Park. Very fun. Great view of the falls; the patio must be FANTASTIC in spring and summer! Good food, friendly staff and a neat local ice cream brand!

WOW! What a wonderful little Café to share lunch with a loved one. We decided to have their special nacho's - YUMMY! The staff was fantastic! The establishment offers both indoor and outdoor dinning area's. Inside you are offered detailed artwork providing you a little history with regards to the area. Outside, the view is more than spectacular! Sioux Falls, South Dakota - a MUST SEE part of our county. The Falls Overlook Café - a definite place to enjoy a great meal!

Perfect location for obvious reasons! The selection is great even in late fall! Hot chocolate was great for a cold chilly day, careful it's really hot! The grilled cheese had to come on black russian bread but it was better then it would have been on regular white! The tomato basil soup worked well to pair with it. Shout out to Becky for the friendly service!

We were planning to eat a nice evening meal but ended up having ice cream cone instead. Slightly disappointed, but the interior building is very nice and interesting- as it has big pictures that show the history of the place being built and what it's initial use was.

Wonderful spot to pop in for a good quick meal (or treat!) after exploring the Falls. Plus they have clean bathrooms and tons of space inside!

Stay open serving hot food as long as your website shows. It’s a beautiful Saturday, people everywhere here, and kitchen closed at 3 pm. Very disappointed.

Was traveling and decided to stop at the Falls as a detour-- I can't say anything about their lunch menu, but we stopped in for restrooms and a snack! Was very clean with friendly employees :)

the place looks nice and the waterfall is alright but not that interesting. but it's extremely touristy and there were tons of people. I ordered an iced coffee which they advertised to be $1.95 but they charged me $5.24. then proceeded to let what looked to be about a 10 year old kid mix the coffee, which turned out to be about 80% cream. tasted absolutely terrible. I asked for a replacement, which turned out to be even worse 😂. super disappointed.

Understandable, the grill closes early due to the pandemic, but they was no notice given that it closes early.

Clean, friendly staff, a/C works great nice & comfy inside. They were closing when we visited but, we did enjoy a drink and an ice cream cone before they stopped serving, which was refreshing!
