Maricalum Mining Corporation Ruins

Tourist attraction

😐 Cansibit pit ruins is an abandoned mining pit in Sipalay. Interesting spot for wander. There were people took a dip on its water. I thought it was toxic but ive read on an article recently that the waters are safe to bath. Follow my fb travel page for more of interesting spots in Negros. EnrouteNegr...

I used to work in this place way back 1997 at the Electrical Division (Electronics and Communications Section... I had a great experience with this company... Special Thanks to Engr. Rommel Fernandez.

If you're fascinated by abandoned buildings and towns, this is a pretty cool place. Just imagining all the activities that used to happen there and all the abandoned equipment below the surface of the lake... What an awesome scuba diving site it could be. The water seems clearer than anywhere else and it's pretty enticing to jump in. The actual ruins didn't seem accessible, most unfortunately, they're only visible from a distance. Yes, it's 'just water' and a screwed up landscape you're starting at, but again, ours the imagination that would assist to intrigue. The whole area, in my point of view, has more potential (for an active sports entertainment resort) than Disneyland, it'd be splendid for scuba diving, kayaking, rowing boats, water cycling, ziplines, paragliding, drones, motor cross, quad bikes, off terrain mountain biking, hiking, bonfires, yeah the whole outdoor shebang!
