πŸ‘πŸ‘ What a beautiful place at the base of Mt Shasta. There is a tremendous amount of good energy here. A small creek from the springs runs through the campground. What a beautiful place at the base of Mt Shasta. There is a tremendous amount of good energy here. A small creek from the springs runs through the campground. I lucked out and scored spot #7. I attached a picture of the view from my spot. It is first come first serve and there are only 14 sites so arrive early. It did fill up on a Tuesday night but at $10 it's to be expected. Pit toilets and pump drinking water.

Great spot to camp! Bathrooms were clean. There's currently no running water but town is only 5 minutes away. We stayed there for a couple of days with no problems. The campsites were well spaced out and cheap. Everyone we met was friendly. We had a lady come up and say she gave birth at our campsite 35 years ago which was weird but funny.

Nice campground on Mount Shasta, beautiful setting. Location is great, campground is very convenient to town and the mountain. We stayed the full 7 day limit and enjoyed it very much. Some sites weren't that level but others were. Pit toilets were fairly clean but could probably use a little more frequent attention.

I agree with the other reviewer. Very reluctant to share about this Campground. Most campsites are well-spaced between pine trees. Very laid-back, quiet Campground!! It's for adults. I didn't hear any children when I was here. Thanks be to God!!! There's no water, so you have to bring your water. It Is first come, first serve. I need to give a special shout-out to the camp host, Carol & Don. They are the camp host with the most!

Lovely little spot with well spaced campsites. And views of Shasta right from the site. We went on a Sunday in October so it was pretty quiet. Not sure how it is on weekends and prime time summer. Great proximity to the mountain bike trails at Gateway trailhead.

Quiet, forested campground close to Mt Shasta trails. Only 2 other sites occupied when I stayed 10/27. I appreciated the buckets and non-potable water available to douse campfire.

Great campground! We were driving thru and stopped here for the night on Oct 31, turns out it closes Nov 1 for the winter, so lucky timing for us. About 15 sites, only 3 other campers when we were there. Pit toilets were large, clean and well stocked with tp. Each site has table, fire pit and bear bin for food storage. Sites looked fairly private. Paved road all the way from the hiway tho the loop in the campground is small, tight so not sure a really huge trailer could make it round the loop without hitting trees on the side and not much room to back in or out of sites with a big trailer. No time to explore but it looks like there are tons of trails in the area, not sure for what activity.

Disappointed, park ranger watched me put the money in the tube and then said that there is a spot in back which didn’t exist. Went to the KOA and had a blast, thanks KOA. Greatest experience there, and a hot shower. Everything worked out well, just don’t depend on the ranger for help .

Close to the Mt Shasta city center but far enough. The site has a clean pit toilet. You get RECEPTION , which is a big plus depending.

If you go to mount shasta you must visit this campground. They just lack electricity. But if I had electricity I would never leave a natural paradise like that.
