(Translated by Google) Don't go to Situbondo! If you are not ready to fall in love with the beauty of the savanna in East Java. . This landscape that resembles grasslands in Africa is Baluran National Park in the Banyuputih, Situbondo, or northern Banyuwangi region. This park is home to hundreds of flora and fauna. If we are lucky, we can see a herd of bulls, buffalo, fishing cats, leopards and even peacocks. . The savanna of Baluran National Park is the largest savanna on the island of Java. The area reaches 300 hectares. During the rainy season, this savanna will be dominated by green. However, during the dry season it will turn yellowish brown. This is a favorite spot for tourists, especially photo hunters because it looks so dramatic. . . Beautiful! The national park has a evergreen forest, a savanna, a nice beach and a mangrove forest. You need a vehicle to go around, we were able to rent a scooter at the entrance for 100k Rupiah.

A park resembling African savannah, entrance fee is reasonable for locals (15k rp), whereas as foreigners we had to pay 165k rp/person, which I believe was seriously overpriced. There isn't much to do except for sightseeing in the car, taking some photos at the picture point in savannah, taking the 5 mins trail at the beach, look around and leave. You can see monkeys, deers, peacocks and some birds. The beach at the end of the road was pretty shallow and at some places dirty as well, so we could not swim. Is it worth seeing? Taking absurd fees into consideration, I would not visit this place again, also if you have some better plans, you can just opt for them instead of visiting this park.

One of the greatest savannah in Indonesia !! Well you can't do much except for enjoying the view and feel blessed that this kind of savannah exist here in Indonesia. Came here during pandemic, and they will asked you to provide either rapid test or pcr swab test. And you can book your ticket online !! You can find your best spot to take a picture, or just chill while watching the nature healing your mood and soul. You also can go to the tower, to enjoy overall view from this Baluran Park.

Taman Nasional Baluran, It's like enter a new world, full of trees and plants atmosphere. The best time to visit Baluran is at summer season, while no rain and animals gather at bekol savana in the morning or afternoon to get water. Just follow the path, and you will reach Bama Beach. Walk to the left, there is another beach and mangrove trail to the right. There is food stall inside the national park. Be careful with Monkeys. Don't forget to try "gardu pandang", you can see one third of the national park over there. Don't worry if you don't bring any vehicle. You can rent car around 350 IDR or motorbike around 100 K with Mr Tri 082332213114 Enjoy :) PS: you can use Damri bus from Taman SriTanjung Banyuwangi, they have shuttle around 4x times in a day. Please book through apps.

This place is so amazing, truly the Africa of Java. We saw different species of monkeys, buffalos, deers, peacocks, birds. It's really really hot and dry in here so be sure to bring plenty of water. We stayed there for the whole day and it was so worth it. We saw the monkeys all day long, the buffalos too. The deers came along on the afternoon. Around 4:30pm, the animals move around and cross the road to get back to their place before sunset. The nature and vegetation and scenery is fantastic, so beautiful, almost unreal. The price is a little higher than indicated: the entrance fee is now 160k per person (like 10k if you come with a motorcycle). I guess it may be because they totally sealed the road now. It is now a really good and neat and smooth road the whole way long to the beach, so no worries with riding a motorcycle here. The beach is also really nice, some boats, plenty of monkeys on the shore. We had lunch there: there is a small, cheap and really yummy warung. There's also another one halfway between the entrance of the park and the beach (in Bekol). And there's also a charming shott mangrove walk by the beach! We really recommend to come here if you're nearby. It is pretty pricy but you won't regret it!

Baluran National Park providing visitors with stunning landscapes and a chance to immerse themselves in the wilderness. However, it's important to note that while the park boasts breathtaking scenery, it may have limited attractions. However, it's worth noting that during holidays, the availability of services such as jeep rentals for exploring the park may be limited due to high demand and crowds.

Beautiful place that you have to visit when in Banyuwangi with only 16K/person (for local people). Unfortunately we didnt met the deer and the bull there. Also beware of the monkeys that very aggressive especially when you bring foods.

Nice natural park. Regulation asked us to registered before coming due to Covid-19. Too bad it was not in their formal website. After small discussion they gave us access to go inside. Beautiful scenery, especially the beach. But the path inside the road is not that long. It could be nice if we could go deeper to the forest. Maybe next time.

(Translated by Google) Baluran National Park is a conservation area located in Situbondo Regency, directly adjacent to Banyuwangi Regency in the north. Baluran National Park has a savanna called the bekol savanna, the bekol savanna is often referred to as "the savanna of Africa in Indonesia." Not only does it have savanna, Baluran National Park also has a pretty beautiful beach, namely Bama beach. The scenery here is quite beautiful, especially during the summer, where Baluran National Park will look like an African savanna which is always dry.

Afrika e Jawa timur lokasi : Baluran Situbondo. Tepatnya perbatasan Situbondo banyuwangi Lokasi Masih ditutup. Alhamdulillah kebetulan saya kesana ada marinir yg jaga disitu, saya diijinkan masuk. klo kesini Usahakan musim kemarau ..biar kliatan mirip Savana Afrika nya.. klo musim hujan hijau..sperti lapangan bola ? Saran saat ditengah perjalanan ada rambu2 .. HATI HATI ADA SATWA LIAR. Anda harus waspada.. hindari suara berisik, apalagi teriak teriak . mslhnya klo teriak2 gak enak sama pengunjung lainya.. malah nanti dikira orang gila.. klo satwa liarnya sih bodoh amat liat anda teriak ??

(Translated by Google) It is never ending if we discuss the beauty of Indonesian Afrikan miniature. Take a vacation to this place even though 1 time. We will never be disappointed. There have been many reviews about the beauty and diversity of Baluran animals. Here I will discuss the other side of Baluran. I'm sure many people think that Baluran is still part of the Banyuwangi district. Actually the Baluran area is included in the "SITUBONDO" Regency So in the future maybe if someone mentions that the Baluran area is included in the Banyuwangi district, that information can certainly be wrong. The truth is that the Baluran area is included in the SITUBONDO Regency. Maybe also not many of us know that baluran is actually your wildlife reserve. Not like most other attractions, so there must be special treatment in this place. It's our shoes as visitors can help preserve the forest, it is unfortunate not a few of us are still not aware of littering. Let's keep Baluran beautiful, so that our children and grandchildren can still enjoy Baluran's beauty the same as we do today.

(Translated by Google) There is something very different about Baluran National Park, namely the condition of the roads inside the national park which are already smooth, aka on the asphalt. Suddenly it made me find out the truth about the new condition of the national park. I remember when crossing the wilderness road that became the path to the Bekol savanna, there was a peacock that was opening its tail filled with very beautiful feathers right in front of my car, and several other forest animals such as monkeys and partridges that were clearly visible. cross right in front of the car. I can get this moment because of the rocky path that requires the car to run casually. In addition, it can be seen that every now and then an officer will come and go from the wilderness to look for something or do research. With very good access, it is indeed the reason for more and more tourists to visit, because in Baluran National Park there are not many tourists staying the night so good access will make tourist trips faster and easier. Immediately, tourists can continue their journey to the city of Banyuwangi or continue their journey to the Island of the Gods via the Ketapang port. Known as Afrika van Java, Baluran National Park has an area of 25,000 hectares. This national park is opened for public visitors who want to experience the savanna like in Africa, but only one third of the forest that has been cleared and can be used for tourism is only a third of the total land.

Unfortunately a real ripp-off for foreign visitors. The price for foreigners is 15times higher then for locals (235k / weekend). I don’t mind paying a bit more but this is just completely madness (would you pay 15times more at a Warung for Indonesian food?!). Especially under consideration of what you get for it… 5minutes street ride through the national park… ending at a dirty beach. Well; the national park has more to offer 😂… you can do a 50m walk through mangroves. That is litally all the “national park” has to offer. This is just ridicules… would never have made the journey from Bali if I would have known before but the reviews are completely misleading. Wonderful Indonesia is tourning more and more into a money grab.

(Translated by Google) I came here around September 2019. The road is still worn out, but this has become its own value because indeed I am more able to enjoy nature tourism that is still "natural" Unbelievably cool, the African Indonesian nickname is not excessive in my opinion, if you have a lot of time try to stay * 150rb / night ... your morning will feel different from the chirping of birds, and the view of the vast grasslands behind the window is amazing. Don't forget important equipment when visiting cowboy hats, balloons / binoculars, cameras, etc. with telephoto lenses ... but for those of you who are just ordinary, just use a cellphone like me. Because here it is very arid in the dry season, and also to meet the bull animals, peacocks etc. You need binoculars, because they will stay away if you come closer. In addition to Baluran National Park, Banyuwangi also still has the beauty of other tourism, greeting the spirit of all.

Africa van Java, there's no other words to describe it. You can see the evergreen forest, savana, volcano, beach, sea, mangrove forest and exotic animals. If you want to see the exotic animals like bull, deer, peacock, or gibbon, come at 2/3 pm, they don't come out at the middle of the day, but be careful with the monkeys. I recommend you to come here by jeep or motorsport because the road was so bad.

A National Park that located in East Java Province, this Park mainly a savanna. The best time to visit this park is when dry season, so you can experience real savanna like in Africa. If you're lucky you'll encounter wild animal like peacock. You can also rent a cottage. When we came here, we rent the cottage for Rp 500.000 for a night. Be sure to bring your best equipment, I mean camera, lens, etc because the view from here is very breathtaking. When the night comes, you can hear animal shouting each other, and you can watch the clear nightsky without any light pollutan, very satisfying

Great place for photo.. Baluran National Park is well known as Africa Van Java, has a great Savanna view just like Africa. From the main road, if you drive from east (from Banyuwangi), before you entering the forest, you can find the national park office and this is the enterance to Baluran National Park. From the ticket office, you have to drive around 12 km through bad stony road before we arrive to savanna. Inside savanna, you can find small house for rent. At the end of savanna you can find beach. Inside savanna, you can see a lot of monkey, wild chicken, variety of bird, peacook, byson and deer.

Many of us never expected that Indonesia actually has an area of wildlife similar to Africa. Yes, this is Baluran National Park in East Java. The National Park, which was built around 1980, is very similar to the habitats and ecosystems in Africa so that some people call it Africa van Java, some call it little Africa. He really deserves this nickname, because the natural beauty of this national park is similar to that in Africa. Also known as LITTLE AFRICA IN JAVA. For nature lovers this is the place to be when you are in Java area. I’ve been to Baluran National Park in Situbondo once, it’s vast ample area and the Savannah type of environment is so attractive and beautiful. Couldn’t differentiate it with Serengeti National Park in Tanzania - Eastern Africa. There are some animals live there enjoying ecosystem , mostly herbivores and not carnivores , buffalo and antelopes different kind of Monkeys and Birds. Not allowed to dump any waste around. The weather is so hot you are being advised to carry sun protective gears.

  • 5/5 Renilda N. 2 years ago on Google
Better to come in the afternoon-evening as a lot of animals come out to eat at that time; and the sunset is very beautiful.

Kind of Indonesia wildlife scenery, it provides you stunning view. You may saw many creatures that you've never seen (peacock, wild chicken, corpse flower, etc). The most interesting one is evergreen forest, forest that never dry even in a dry season. In the end, the road will send you to the beach. Enjoy your time, but watch out! don't ring any food if you don't want to be disturbed by the monkeys.

If you love outdoor adventure and nature, you going to love this place. We arrive exactly when this place just open 7:30 am, and it was Monday. So we are so grateful because we are the 1st visitor and we can stop to many spot without too many people around. Such a blessings. We need to drive 12 km to first stop, basically this is the famous savanna, if you google about Baluran National Park, you’ll more thank likely will find this pic. Like everyone said, first impression, it’s not look like INDONESIA. Feels like you are in Africa (based on that movie and National Geographic) you can stop by here and take pic, then you can continue another 7 km to the last stop. We’re surprised because it’s beach. Quite and seclude, again probably because it’s Monday and still very early. On the other side of the beach you can take a short walk to explore mangrove area, another spot for good picture. During the trip we flock, Buffalo, and monkey, a troops of monkey. And highly recommend not to bring anything that attract monkey attention, we saw the troops snatch a bag full of snack from visitor, when they left the bag on their bag to taking picture. There’s observation tower as well but we decide not to climb up and enjoy the scenery with explore the whole area

A different experience to spend a day in Baluran. I haven't been to Africa, so I'd take this Java safari experience. I think the tour package from the hotel added a cherry on top, we had lunch under the tree, overlooking the mountain l, right in the savanna. I just wished they have more animals to look at than just the monkeys. Nonetheless, it was a cool day.
