Just had an amazing lunch at the Sherwood Inn. Everything was perfect and the service was outstanding! Our server, Amber, was amazing and we are so grateful we stopped here for our special holiday lunch! We will definitely be back next year!

A true hidden gem. Great food. Outstanding water views. Exemplary service. I plan to return for a day trip to truly enjoy the ambiance. The wings were crisp and flavorful. French onion soup lived up to its name. Home made salad dressing to go with the salad was delightful to my tastebuds. The pot roast my friend absolutely loved. My 4 yr old had pizza and a Sunday which he devoured before I could snap a picture. The coloring on the back of the menu was a welcomed distraction. I can't forget the amazing bread 😍 Depending which side you sit on, you get whipped butter which my sister raved about or packaged butter which also complimented the bread well.

My daughter and I decided to take a day trip up here to see how everything looked at Christmas and we were not disappointed. This place was recommended for their Yankee Pot Roast and again not disappointed. Definitely worth every penny. Excellent service too!

I went to The Sherwood for lunch recently. I was seated promptly by the hostess. My risotto was very good. It was a vegetable risotto with squash and spinach and the cheese flavor was mild. When I received my salad it was only garnish with olive oil and vinegar; remembering my waitress did not suggest any other salad dressings, so if you want something other than olive oil you should probably ask for it. The view from my table was very nice and you could see the lake. If you want a lakefront restaurant, I definitely recommend going here.

Only enjoyed both restaurants. Prefer the pub food but like the ambiance on the front porch better. The menu could use an update imo. It’s a little outdated/boring and the quality is not consistent but the lake views will have you going back regardless.

Food was actually quite a disappointment. Service was great and the food was ok but for the price I'd have expected getting something I actually enjoyed. Chicken tasted like they had not put a speck of seasoning. View was great and the actual experience was great sans food.

Dinner on the porch a few months ago. I waited at my table while 3 women of the wait staff stood 5 feet from me. Finally I asked if I should go to the bar for a glass of wine. 20 minutes again and the waitress arrived. I order a wedge salad, it was the solid white core of the lettuce and inedible. I had shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were not orange in color. They were grayish with dark red veins on them. The bread basket used to be filled with a few different, tasty breads. Now one soft, blond roll for the whole table of four. The second glass of wine arrived at the end of the meal. Please don’t anyone order the, β€œ tavern rice!” It is tasteless, brown slop with a few bits of carrots. What a huge embarrassment and disappointment to my guests. I’ve been dining at the Sherwood for over forty years. In the past it was an exemplary experience. Now the talk about town is that it is no longer an option. What a shame. was 200.00 and a tipped her 50.00. It was obviously an issue with management and not the waitress.
