A must see when close to Karlstad. It is not so close to the city so take the car. The forest next to it has a lot of mushrooms and blueberries, at least at the end of July. The view over the lake Vänern is impressive and it feels strange to not being able to see land in all directions when considering it is not the sea.

So beautiful. We were there when birds where caught in nets and marked. All the children who were there had the opportunity to see birds up close, pet and also hold them if they dared. Hammarö Sydspets is a nature conservation area. The view is amazing, the forest is so quiet and peaceful and the whole place just oozes of tranquility.

Very relaxing place. This is where you get a glimpse of how large lake Vänern actually is. You won't get disappointed. Also very family friendly.

Adore this place. The incredible Scandinavian nature, the lighthouse. We like to have fika or BBQ there, make pictures, and just relax and enjoy fresh air and stunning view

A nice place to have a picnic and/ or have a BBQ but very windy since its right next to a large body of water.

Amazing view of the lake, super scenic and peaceful atmosphere (if good weather). Reachable by bike in 1 1/2 hours from Karlstad.

Really nice place to take a walk, make barbecue, ride a bicycle, or even swim. Nice overview on Lake Vänern. Very special sunrise and sundown!
