Based on Google reviews, I was disappointed with my experience at Old Orchard Smiles. I decided to leave my previous great dentist since they left the Delta network, and the new co-pay for cleaning and check-up was pretty high. I was happy to find this place since it is in the Delta network and seemed to have good reviews. The Old Orchard Smiles facility is modern/clean, efficiently run and the staff are polite and friendly. After taking x-rays and performing a dental check-up, the dentist performed a process called periodontal charting, which I have never had done before. He found a few pockets of 4s and 5s, and therefore told me I would need to embark on multiple sessions of deep cleaning. I am always wary of upsell, so I told him that I would take this guidance under consideration. However, what I then found frustrating is that he refused to perform a normal cleaning since he said that insurance would not cover the subsequent deep cleaning. This is despite the fact that I was unsure whether to commit to his recommended deep cleaning program. I felt like he was trying to force me into the deep cleaning sessions. I do not find this behavior appropriate and, unfortunately, I have missed out on a regular dental cleaning session. I was planning on switching my whole family to this dentist but, when I told my wife about my experience, she said that there is no way she would bring the kids there.

The staff was friendly and reassuring, making me feel at ease before my wisdom tooth extraction. The dentist explained the procedure thoroughly. The extraction itself was quick and virtually painless. The post-operative care instructions were clear, and the follow-up was prompt. Overall, a professional and caring team—I highly recommend their dental services.

I cannot say enough about the staff at Old Orchard Smiles. They are friendly, professional and have the state of the art equipment to take good care of their patients. Joe, the dental hygienist knows his stuff and manages to keep things light and positive. I have to say I am no longer nervous when it’s time to pay a visit to the dentist office.

My husband and I have been going to Old Orchard Smiles for many years. Dr. Wolf and her entire staff are fabulous. The new dentists are also great. Their new location is well kept, updated, comfortable and professional. There are not many private medical offices anymore. I highly recommend this office. Great service and staff, very professional and knowledgeable staff.

Dr Daniel Chavin - is our Dentist & we love him so much! Old orchard smiles in Skokie (he’s out of prospect heights location too) Jacob & I are still members of the no cavity club! Hooray!!! But seriously Dr Dan is the man & we couldn’t recommend him anymore ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we drove from wadsworth 2 Skokie to see him! Entire staff is phenomenal tho. If you are looking for a new dentist HOLLAAAAA! 🫶🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very friendly and efficient staff the moment you enter their new and spacious office! The provider himself promptly saw me and my first impression was he knows his business. Very knowledgeable and with good patient rapport. As a retired physician myself I highly recommend Dr. Daniel Chavin to take care of your Dental needs.He is a rare breed in his field of expertise!

Everyone there was amazing and Dr. Gelman listened to me when I explained that I had a phobia of seeing the dentist. He calmed my fear and made me feel very comfortable and I didn’t feel a thing when getting my tooth pulled! Thank you so much! I will definitely be back for all my dental needs!
