Found bed bug in my belongings upon my return home. Only stayed at this hotel. Called to report it and was initially told by Candy that it wasn't a bed bug. I had already researched and confirmed that it was. Candy then accused me of getting the picture off of the internet. After refusal by numerous baymonts to give me corporates number I was able to reach them. I was then told they would contact me with a solution in 7 days. My initial opinion on this hotel was good. After this treatment I wouldn't recommended that place to anyone.

The hotel is nothing like the pictures. Extremely run down. All the furniture was chipped up/damaged. Room was very dingy and smelled odd. Wi-Fi wasn’t working. Sketchy at best. Was there to visit a college for my daughter…we tried to cancel our room once we arrived but as it was a third party booking we couldn’t. My daughter stated that she “Didn’t feel safe” in the room. Many other hotels within a few kms…try one of them…any one of them but this one. I travel for business and stay at Windham branded hotels literally monthly…this is one they should disassociate from. Save your money…sleep in your vehicle…I’m sure it’s cleaner and safer.

Staff was incredibly hospitable. Room was clean, neat and well set up. There was a faint smell of mildew ( possibly from water damage, I understand they recently went through a remodel of some kind) but there was no mold or mildew in my room at all. Nice place

Lovely staff, clean rooms, great breakfast. Even with an ignorant & aggressive customer trying to attack your morning staff & other guest, you were still PROFESIONAL & had him promptly removed by police. Please enjoy your days 😊.

Everything was very clean and you could tell management put money into the upkeep of the place. I stay in a lot of hotels and this one was pretty exceptional. I'm used to seeing signs about how management uses Covid to screw over hotel staff but the only signs about staff here were that us customers had to be nice to them. I'm writing this from another Wyndham hotel in Indiana and this one has signs about how staff will only do a little bit every few days due to Covid, which is code for 'we are currently screwing over our staff so deal with it'. I highly recommend staying at this Baymont.

Y'all did not disappoint!!! I had an awesome experience here!! Had a king room and it was very very spacious.. friendly staff, clean bathroom, walk in shower, clean, comfy, king bed, couch, refrigerator, ac/heater work. I love that the shower/toilet is separate from the sink area. Restaurants are in the area. I didn't get a chance to enjoy breakfast 😔😔. But, You won't be disappointed!! I'm definitely returning to this location again!! I definitely had a great time.. #338. Oh, and they have dove soap here and that's all I use- I was extremely happy when I saw the mini dove soap 😁😁😁

The staff was incredibly friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They would have received 5 stars but the breakfast was bland. Why have hot food if your not going to cook it properly?Just stick with fruit, cereal, and juice.Other than that it’s a really nice place to stay.

I was in town, upon checking in, Desk clerk talk in phone for 10 min straight, no greetings, no @ I’ll be with you in a few mins.. as if I wasn’t at the front desk. When I brought it to get attention that I was there.. she pointed out she went back in forth with me about it. I explained, I’m just exhausted and would like to just check in to get rest. I also had to remind her.. that I’m a paying customer and it’s not like she’s giving me a free room. The attitude was terrible.. I had to tell her.. that that’s enough because she kept talking and was very defensive. She was acting as if she was doing me a favor. After finally being able to check in. I think I got the worse beds in the hotel.. The Mattress were old , springy and uncomfortable. I will never stay at this location ever. Overall, terrible customer Service and room . This place is a No Go !

I am a truck driver and I didn’t have any problems staying here. I didn’t have a reservation, but they were welcoming and got me a room, I thought I’d stay one night and my truck wasn’t ready I stayed one more night and then again, I stayed 3 nights here, close to where I needed to be and it was great. Breakfast was great, people working at front desk and another staff I met was polite and helpful.

The staff was great and they had breakfast which was nice. The room was a different story, it was somewhat clean but not that clean. The walls and baseboard in the bathroom were pretty dirty. Our last night there I was checking under the bed to make sure we had everything and found a pair of dirty women's underwear that were NOT mine!

3rd floor security was harassing us as soon as we walked in. He was extremely rude and really ruined New Years for more than just myself. Of course others were drunk but me being the designated driver, he was being extreme. He took his job way too serious. I will never spend New Years here again and will recommend no one to stay here for New Years again. He was stopping people from socializing as soon as we got off the elevator and harassing us to take it to our rooms immediately. Why would I stay at a place like this again that’s offering a New Years package? I paid for my place to be here and as soon as I get off an elevator I have someone aggressively pushing me to my room? Honestly I hope no one spends their New Years here again.

We enjoyed our stay from the moment we walked in the door! Friendly and fast check in, comfortable beds, clean room, decent continental breakfast and close to shopping and local attractions! Our only complaint is that someone took the trash out both days of our stay before 7am. The cart rolling to the dumpster and then crashing of the lid and trash woke us for the day, but overall an amazing place!

For the amount for a room on a week day I was expecting more! Bring the week day rates down this wasn't a Hilton. Staff was super nice but price way too high! I guess Baymont is acting like everyone else just jacking up prices because everyone else is, not good business.

This location never disappoints me. I’ve stayed at this location several times and each experience was amazing. The hotel is always clean, nice smell, the rooms are comfortable and cozy. The staff is amazing as well. I’ve gone to other Baymont locations in South Holland and Merrillville and they are in no shape, form or fashion anything like the Alsip location. I will never stay at any other Baymont again if it’s not this one in Alsip.

Sweet, super clean place and an excellent value. You can tell the folks running the place really care by all the little details. Came in at midnight from a late flight and was greeted by a kind young man at the desk and a bunch of adorable autumn decorations. Bed and pillows comfy. Excellent water pressure in the shower and strong Wi-Fi. About 15 minutes from MDW.

Room serves is purpose; sleep, bathe, and go. No tubs, rooms are on the smaller side, definitely not worth all the money that they charged. I had to sponge bathe my baby girl because there was no tub for me to bathe her in. They do charge an additional charge on your card in case there are any damages

Complaints: shower and toilet water pressure is low. The lady at the front desk had a bit of an attitude for no reason, the breakfast is basic. Compliments: Air conditioner worked well, free breakfast, Clean, Comfortable, Cheapest room in the area.

Truck company set me up here. Breakfast in the morning. Some times they'll have warm cookies in the lobby in the evening times. Gotta cross the bridge to get to restaurants and a Walmart. About 12 minute walks, not bad.

I travel over 100 days a year for my job and stay exclusively in Wyndham properties, so I review each one. The parking lot was clean and well lit on arrival. Check in went smoothly. My room, a king handicapped, was very clean, with a comfortable bed/ pillows and newer fixtures including multiple outlets and USB ports. The walk in shower was nice. Room access is via an interior door. WiFi speed was 8.5 megs up, 4.0 down per Ookla. All of the stated amenities were in place, such as the microwave, small refrigerator, and a single serve coffee maker. The hotel has two luggage carts. My digital AC/heater worked well. The television had only a basic selection of channels but a good picture. The breakfast area and lobby were very clean. Snack and drink machines are located on the second and third floors, taking cash or cards. There is a guest laundry, fitness center and business center available. A very clean and well run hotel, I would definitely book again if needed for work.

Our room was pretty nice. Comfortable bed, nice work space, great shower, fairly quiet HVAC. Downsides: a little smell of deodorizer and very dim lighting around the bathroom mirror, very slow wifi. Breakfast was pretty good. Apples and bananas for fresh fruit. Biscuits were very moist and tasty. There is quite a bit of space to spread out which is nice if you want to get away from TV noise.

Honestly was expecting more. Granted I stayed on a Saturday night however it was still so expensive for just one night. The carpet was very old in the hallway and the shower seemed very old and didnt feel fully clean. Wouldn't stay again. Front desk seemed nice enough

  • 1/5 Sue L. 10 months ago on Google
This place is a real DUMP! Our room literally stunk of raw sewage. The shower was full of mold and mildew. The mattresses were so old that the top mattress was balled. I’m serious! You could feel where it was beginning to break apart under the initial pad. Only thing hot for breakfast was toast. A group of men were cooking dinner with grills in the parking lot and left their garbage there, scattered all over. It was a terrible neighborhood. Boom Box music at 5 am. If we could have gotten our money back we would have gone elsewhere. It was a horrible experience!

It sucked.Didnt like the smell of the room. Then on top of that you got that horrible sour smell out the AC Thank God it was a cool night and didn't have to use it👎💯💯1 nyt never again.

This is a great place to stay. Last minute decided to stay the night while my semi was getting a pm and other things done. Vivian is very sweet and attentive. The bed was comfortable. Very quiet. Breakfast was good. Only issue was the guts to the toilet wasn't working well. I just told the front. Things happen. People have fits on the smallest things today. I will definitely be back next time I'm here for my next pm.

6 of us arrived to stay in rooms reserved by the venue where my band played and the hotel had no record of our rooms. Front desk flat out refused to contact the hotel manager and refused to do anything for us. We paid for one room but 4 of us had to drive 4 hours home. The next morning the manager apologized but cmon, this is your business. We got screwed with an "I'm sorry". Get your head out of your behind and run your business like a business

Rooms are average but location is great for restaurants and shopping needs. Easy on and off interstates. Friendly helpful staff.

This is the worst hotel ever! The rooms smelled really bad like sewerage and pee. The rooms also smelled like some kind of smoke and it smelled really bad. There were stains on the bed and bed bugs. A lot of things were broken. The bathrooms were really dirty as well and kept clogging. The staff weren't really nice either and $86 dollars for a room isn't worth it. I wouldn't even give this hotel 1 star, they don't deserve it. I'm never going back to the hotel.

We stayed 2 nights, left for several nights & came back for a couple more, much to our disappointment! 1. The room was next to the elevator where we could hear everyone and our door didn't seal so people can actually look thru the crack in the door and see anyone standing at the vanity! 2. Pubic hair in the shower. 3. Urine splash on the tile floor front & sides of toilet, but clean in the path you'd walk, was obviously a "quick" clean-up! 4. Dirty bath towel hanging on hook behind bathroom door. 4.Shower door leaks water onto tile. 5. No eggs for breakfast during week, just weekends!? Biscuits & gravy everyday, not good for people who don't eat a lot of carbs! 6. Another guest was yelled at in the breakfast area for getting something before the 7:00 "Weekend/Holiday" hours! Really!? 7. Computer is slower than molasses in January and printer doesn't work. We booked here because we had another Wyndham in Joliet we booked that we loved, but it also looked new. This place is old, outdated, in poor condition. Sorry, but I can't recommend it. I'd rather pay a little more for something with a good reputation down the street.

Everything was great only thing they control the air conditioner...they have it set in the middle where you can't move it toward the blue...i wasn't comfortable sleeping

We have been staying here the same week over the holidays for the last 4 years. We stay in the pet friendly section which is very clean, you would never know the difference from any other room except there is tile instead of carpet. This year the scrambled eggs they had for breakfast were excellent. The biscuits and gravy were tasty as well. Great experience.

Amazing stay. Staff is amazing and rooms are top notch. Comfy bed and clean as ever. Breakfast in the morning was a great welcome...from cereal and yogurt to waffles and eggs and coffee. Even Orange Juice. Highly recommend anyone in the Chicago area to stay here. Dont let the low price of the rooms fool you...well worth more than they charge.

Should be called the Legionnaires' Lounge. We got a room that smelled so badly of mold we went down to ask for a different one, which the helpful staff (only good aspect of this place) gave us without hesitation. The new room smelled even worse, but it had a functional window so we opened that to vent the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. The carpets throughout the place are filthy--even one pass with a carpet cleaner in the halls, stairs and lobby would make this hotel twice as nice.

I reserved the room for ADA handicap compliancy and unfortunately the room ended up being Overbooked. They then had to put me in a room that was not good for me but they eventually fixed it. I wish that they would reserve ADA handicap rooms for ADA handicap clients.

Service was prompt and professional, the young lady explained the amenities and everything I did not partake in any of them. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the room and that is saying something because my definition of clean is a little OCD. I left for work 4-5a and always felt safe and never heard any sound from the other rooms just folks walking n talking in the hallway. I was surprised by the space in the room as well. Towels were great for 2 and only a stand alone shower no bathtub. Hotel location was great close to restaurants and main roads.

Very rude & racist woman at front desk. I didn’t even stay here I came in with a door dash order & by the time this lady even looked up to acknowledge I was standing there she rudely said she’s helping other people when she can clearly see the McDonald’s bag in my hand. Proceeded to try to argue when I simply said I have a door dash order. I didn’t just want to walk through the hotel but judging from this lady I can tell this place doesn’t have any class. She then proceeds to make a comment to the white people that she was helping saying “America”. Get somebody else at the front desk if you want poc staying here because she clearly has a problem with us.

Bus tour. Took good care of us. Loved the availability of walk in shower but need a bar for older citizens to hang onto for safety. Breakfast could use more flavor.

The room was spacious and nice and clean. I just did not like the building was constructed. Because you can hear people walking down the hall as well as above or below you.

I'll start off by saying, don't believe everything you read or hear. I was told this hotel was not worth the money, then I read some of the reviews. They were all wrong in my opinion. The hotel was clean great breakfast and the hotel staff was very friendly. I almost canceled my stay for my Birthday July 8 of last week and I'm glad I didn't. I will be going back for another stay for sure. The Manger on Duty was also very nice , we talked before I got there and I met with her when I got there . She wanted to reassure me that the hotel woukd be a nice stay and I can get me something to eat down the street in Crestwood Illinois. Thank you again for reading this !

The rooms could have been cleaner the night stand had cup stains on it I killed a bug soon as I walked in my room. The breakfast was blah same thing 2 days in a row gravy and biscuits. The location didn't have a pull it looks great on outside a bit dated inside. It's close to a lot of great restaurants and shopping.

Stayed over for a park and ride to Midway Airport. Shuttle Driver went 30mph.. when we got back did not pick us up at correct location. Made us walk to him.. than drive 30mph back. Had a hard time contacting the front desk. Had to call corporate office and pretend to be booking a room.. poor poor service. Do not use for a shuttle to the airport...would give 0 stars but not available

This was the worst experience ever. The receptionist was the only good experience. She was patient when I had trouble with my card. There was black mold along the wall by the patio door. There was tape on the door. The carpet and curtains were so dirty they were from original color. The comforter had orange color stains. The lamp was not functional with the plug hanging out the top.The pool water was freezing. Hot tub had plywood covering it surrounded with pool chairs. We were visiting our grand kids and tried to deal with it but by midnight we had enough when we felt how damp the carpet was.We checked out at midnight. I will never stay there or recommend it. It was more transients than guest. One of the workers yelled and was rude to my grand kids. They went to get pool toys they left he yelled at them thinking they were going unattended not seeing that I right behind them. They were terrified and did not want to go back I knew then he scared them my 10 and 11 yr old love to swim. This made our visit terrible.

😠 Desk service was rude and unprofessional. Room was dirty, but no bed bugs thank God! It rained the other day and today and there was a puddle by my door and all along the exterior wall. Poorly kept. The poor maintenance guy has been here with a wet-vac numerous times. He said that they have had this...
