Great mountain area overlooking the city and the home if the Millennium Cross. The air is beautiful and clear and the area appears well managed, the cable car up the mountain is a real treat, as it goes on for a long time, maybe 10 minutes. And very often you’ll not have to share a car with strangers. The day we spent here was one of my favourite activities in Skopje.

Visit early morning to avoid the crowds and enjoy the peace and quiet. Local neandrathal visitors leave a lot of garbage behind.

Very serene with stunning views over Skopje. Great way to spend 1-2 hours. The cable car is extremely affordable, the millennium cross is breathtaking, and staff is very friendly.

It has been updated with some benches to sit at, and some little shops to get (unhealthy) snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Unfortunately you can still see trash in places. Nice to get away from the city and breathe some fresh air. Better if you hike up to it, but you can drive no problem. Parking can be full on weekends and holidays, which is to be expected. It's also the only time they charge for parking. So, if you can, go on a weekday. From there you can take the cable car all the way up to the Millennium Cross. You can also hike up to it, of course. On the way up (or down), make sure to stop at one of the view points to look over the city.

Really nice hike from Skopjo. Come here prepared with water and only if you are not scared as you might be the only person here :)

Amazing place for weekend relaxing and enjoying the nature. It is connected with a bus line from the city center and it is connected with the top of the mountain Vodno with a cable train 🚠🚡 you can enjoy the nature totally free. Be aware that during the weekend it might be very crowded. 🍀🌞🌼

This is an excellent place to come with your family and friends to enjoy the nature and beautiful landscapes of Skopje and the places around. You can challenge yourself and to walk all the way up or to ride the bicycle. However, there is no good sidewalk and the separate lane for the bicycle, so you have to be careful on your way while using the road. On the top there is a big parking, so you can come by the car. The parking is free on the weekends, but it is also might be full. There is bus #25 coming to this place as well. There are few small cafes where you can find the coffee and tea, snacks and ice scream, etc. If you would like to organize some picnic, you can find many tables and small cabins. For the kids there are playing areas as well. If you would like to go all the way to the top, you can enjoy the cable car service. Please, always check the schedule due to the specific working time depends on the season. Definitely you will take a lot of pictures on your way and everywhere around. On the top there is another cafe and the cabins to enjoy sandwiches and snacks. During spring and summer there are cows on the top, so watch your kids not to get to close and not to get into some "mines" around 😉 If you are visiting Skopje, this is a place which you should definitely visit it

Great places and walks near Skopje when you want to be in nature and you do not have the opportunity to travel to distant places. 

If you like hiking and mountain biking you will love it

Great little place to sit and picnic surrounded by woods and the most beautiful birdsong. A small wooden playground i would personally expand using natural materials, but its not bad even like this. There are a few places to get an ice cream and a hot drink. We stoppped here to get the cable car Happy memories .. 🌄💛

Beautiful trekking in the nature to reach the cable ferry. Only improvement point - hence the four stars - there is no signaling. We had to rely on Google Maps to go up. If you want to skip the trekking, there is a car road that brings you there directly. The cable ferry brings you up the mountain to the big cross. If you want, I believe you can also walk up there, but that was quite hardcore. On top of the mountain you can enjoy a beautiful scenery, play with some friendly stray dog, and grab a bite/drink. Sadly, no cooked food, only bagged snacks.

I'm a student at the university, and every Thursday it is free for students to use the cable car. I presented all documents to my girlfriend, and they still didn't let us use them. On the boot in black and white, it states that every Thursday it is free for students, and the lady at the boot shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't know what is said here; I have to ask. And then refused us. Very bad experience. That's why Macedonia is not in the EU.

It is a beautiful hotel located on Mountain Vodno, but it is closed now - temporary - let's hope
