Vspace is both Cafe and guest house (Hostel). The place is really unique, having some antique decoration in the two indoor, and two outdoor areas. The outdoor tables are having the river view. During my stay I had breakfast there, it was delicious with nice presentation. The people working there are kind, friendly and helpful. For the hostel I stayed in the capsule for two nights, it was great. There is Tv screen, charging plug, fan and light control panel in the capsule, with a manual lock from inside. They offer free Wi-Fi, drinking water, shampoo. You can use the locker as well. If you will stay!! Need to be prepared with personal things such as, towels, slippers. (bring your own things, they don't offers these items)

This is a review for their capsule hotel. First, I love the location; it's super easy to walk to anywhere from here. Next, the staff are pretty friendly as well. Besides that, you can easily refill your water here for free and the common area on the second floor overlooking the river is pretty dope. Now for the negatives; 1) lack of privacy The capsules are not located at a private space which means total random strangers could walk pass your capsule and peek in if they want (provided if the door is open). 2) Showering as well as skincare for the ladies of course is another akward situation as you'll have to do it using the same WC facilities as the guests of the cafe. Moreover, the only door leading to the riverbank is located right at the bathroom area so there will be a constant stream of people walking past the said facilities. 3) lack of security While you can secure your capsule on the inside when you're in it, there's no way to lock it when you're out. The lockers seem to be unsafe as there's a review that his stuff got stolen and the property owner refused to take responsibility. Seems like there's also a problem with the CCTV? As such, you'll have to carry all your valuables with you such as your laptop and etc when you're out. 4) capsule issues There's no way to turn off the blue lights on the control panel of the capsule so it can be an obstacle if you're sensitive to light when sleeping. If you're fine with that, next up will be the constant creaking/water dripping noises. Your capsule neighbours too will also be quite noisy; ranging from knocking against the wall to slamming of the capsule doors. 5) toilets are a bit dirty. Strangest thing is that the toilet paper is on the outside near the sink and not the inside.

We stayed with Vspace for 1 night. It was an amazing experience. We had booked the double person pod as there were 2 of us, it was big and spacious. Our hosts are the sweetest kindest people. They run the cafe here from 10:30am - 10:30pm. If you wish to enter the guesthouse after 10:30pm, you can do so using the security passcode on the door which will be provided to you. From the entrance, you walk past the pods and the lockers to reach the cafe and the washrooms. Since the cafe is on the riverside, you can sit outside facing the river. There is a sit-out area upstairs as well, facing the river and 2 more washrooms next to them. Each guest gets one locker to put your belongings and bags in. If you are a solo traveller or a couple and do not have a lot of luggage, I recommend this stay. They also have dorm rooms. It is cheap, affordable, aesthetic and every tourist attraction is at a walkable distance which reduces the need for transportation completely! PS - I have posted the entire cafe and guesthouse video below. Thank you!

I came here for a small bite during my trip to Melaka. What suprised me was the peaceful atmosphere inside this small coffee shop and guesthouse. You can stay away from the crowded in Jonker a little bit when you're tired. Food and drink are also good. I love the Chicken Floss Crepe. Staff and the owner are really nice and helpful.

Super cozy and just by the river! The pods were fun with their space theme. We arrived late due to traffic and the staff solved it even though we came after the check-in closed. The atmosphere is really cozy, especially when the cafΓ© is open and the house fills of jazzy tunes.

Lavender Cheese cake is 10/10! A MUST try! Also very good iced coffee. We came here just to check out the cafΓ© after a friend recommended it.

This place is suggested for backpackers and also for those couple looking for small stay . Their hospitality is too good and every person welcomes u everytime they see you . Washrooms downstairs are little congested. You get a locker each and pods are well maintained . You will be given door access code to make in/out after closing hours. Menu got less items but u can manage food near by . Many bars and food stalls to hangout at. Kitchen opens 10 AM Kitchen closes 9:30 PM Cafe closed 11 PM A perfect 5/5

Drinks were quite pricy and wasn’t quite worth it, staff could be more attentive, cakes tasted good but could be bigger in portion. The lavender cheesecake is strongly recommended. The environment is pretty chill and cozy.

A really homely and cozy cafe to enjoy a drink and even a meal by the riverside. It's tended by a team of very friendly and nice staff. They are also pet-friendly (outdoor seating area and we had a stroller). This is one of the nicer spot if you're not a fan to loud music and rowdy crowd. It's quite peaceful when we were there on Friday night and we enjoyed a few drinks with our baby doggie. Definitely not as noisy as the other end of the riverside pubs/cafe. They only have canned beers when we were there, so it is only recommended if you do not mind just having 1-2 cans to unwind (as the prices of the canned beer was slightly higher than usual but I don't mind supporting the local business anyways)

Great accommodation at affordable prices, the staff were friendly and will attend to your queries politely. The cafe was amazing particularly the scallion pancake.

I slept in a box in the corridor... The capsule, showers, toilets and sinks are literally in the corridor of the cafe, directly opposite the counter where you order and people sit to eat. There is absolutely no privacy, nowhere to get changed or put your belongings. As soon as you step out of your capsule you are in a public space. You do not know who is staying in the guesthouse and who is a customer of the cafe. It is very awkward and uncomfortable being in your pyjamas, brushing your teeth and showering when people who are not staying in the guesthouse are eating next to you in the cafe.

Visited the cafe which was very nice. Seating on the canal was a perfect place to enjoy an afternoon coffee and cake in the shade. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Was there to celebrate birthday. Was afraid to dine with the nasty smell of Melaka River. But, that's not true, and we enjoy the breeze so much sitting outdoors. Scenic scenery aside, the food is very okay as well. Drinks such as the mojito and dragon fruit are the must to order if you would like to have a refreshing drink. The food portion is huge too, and the price is much more reasonable than in some of the cafes. Ordered also the lemon burnt cheesecake. Told the waiter that we were celebrating birthday. Thus, a plater for birthday cake and candles is set as well. Pretty and enjoyable night. From what the owner told me as well, the Vspace offers a cabin which is around RM 50 for a night. Be it a good place for backpackers too.

Good coffee and place where to eat. I stayed one night in a capsule, pretty ok even if it is a bit weird that toilets and showers are in the same area of the coffee with customers.

Located very near to the jonkers walk night market . It has capsules for single and couple. Staff are very polite and friendly. The most beautiful thing is you can have a sit out by the river side behind the guest house .

Stumbled across this place while taking a walk along the river. Decided to pop in for a quick snack. Lavender milk - do give a try, has a stubble lavender taste, very delish. Good for lavender lovers. Chicken floss egg crepe - something you can eat at Taiwan brekkie places, except now you can have it at night!!! Love the taste, reminds me of Taiwan brekkie but in a relaxed place. Prawn paste chicken - succulent and juicy!!!! Worth stepping in!

very good quiet cafe and spot to sit down and drink something while looking at the river the espresso was very good, the tea was well the prices are more fair in comparison to other touristy places, so this is a very good spot!

only stay here if you don't mind sleeping in a cupboard in the corridor of a cafe! the beds are right next to two main doors and in the middle of the cafe/restaurant. the showers and toilets are also right next to the doors and in the cafe area so if you want to take a shower you must walk past people trying to enjoy their meal! (the toilet/shower rooms were also not clean) on top of this the rooms do not lock when you're not inside them, so anything left in them can feasibly be accessed by anyone in the cafe. the beds were also not big enough for two people and were very uncomfortable. the pods are not soundproof so music from the cafe can be heard constantly, and noise from upstairs/other pods can be heard clearly. the staff were very lovely it is just a shame that the hotel was so disappointing.

Drinks was alright but everything was on the pricey side. Honestly there wasn’t much selection for eating . Mostly Chicken chop for main dish.

Most snacks are fried food / desserts, difficult to find healthy choice. The egg crepe was decent but not really memorable. The place looked a bit nicer in photos than in actual, indoor seating downstairs a bit dim. No toilet available for guests upstairs.

A cozy place for you to chill with close friends, you may even pick a review side table to sit beside the river and enjoy the scenic view at night. Food wise are above average, can try pasta there and dessert is a must.
