Maybe
my
expectations
were
too
high
based
on
the
5-star
average,
but
I
had
a
mediocre
experience
at
TULA.
The
waiter
and
owner
were
very
friendly
and
explained
the
menu
to
us
in
detail;
but
the
positives
ended
there.
Food:
It
was
good,
but
I've
had
better
(non-vegan)
Indian
food.
If
you
don't
have
the
dietary
restriction,
I
would
go
elsewhere.
As
mentioned
by
a
few
other
reviewers,
the
sides
(chapati
and
rice)
were
very
small
portions.
Oddly
enough,
some
reviews
from
a
few
months
ago
included
pictures
of
curries
with
plenty
of
side
dishes,
including
multiple
salads
and
more
than
one
chapati
-
I
guess
these
are
no
longer
offered.
The
owner
encouraged
us
to
order
a
few
dishes
to
share
within
our
group
of
5,
but
there
ended
up
not
being
enough
protein
in
the
sauces
for
everyone
(despite
each
of
us
only
taking
1
or
2
pieces).
Service:
Quite
slow.
It
took
about
half
an
hour
for
me
to
get
my
drink,
and
then
another
half
hour
to
get
our
food
(which
did
not
come
altogether).
Setting:
The
patio-like
furniture
was
small
and
uncomfortable
(we
kept
worrying
that
our
drinks
would
tip
between
the
slats
of
the
table).
As
mentioned
by
other
reviewers,
the
compostable
dishes/cutlery
were
difficult
to
eat
from
and
the
presentation
of
the
dishes
made
it
challenging
to
share
within
our
group
(the
tiny
bowls
could
barely
fit
a
folded-up
chapati,
while
the
dishes
underneath
the
curry
took
up
a
lot
of
space;
2
people
in
our
group
ended
up
having
to
share
a
plate
because
of
lack
of
space
on
the
small
tables).
The
restaurant
was
also
very
cold
-
they
noticed
when
a
few
of
us
put
our
jackets
back
on
and
then
turned
up
the
heat.
Price:
I
paid
~$35
total
for
one
main
curry
and
a
hot
drink.
Considering
I
was
not
completely
full
after
the
meal
(as
I
typically
am
at
other
Indian
restaurants),
I
found
this
to
be
quite
expensive.
Hopefully
they
will
improve
on
these
points,
but
in
the
meantime,
I
don't
think
I
will
be
returning
to
TULA.
