Great service Evan our server was fantastic and the seafood was exquisite sauteed calamari was nice and tender like butter, the scungill melts in your mouth, pasta cognac was quite the thrill and the veal parmsean was paper thin and yummy just like it should be. It was an awesome dinner I'm sad it's over!

Truthfully the food was decent but I don’t think it’s worth the penny. We celebrated my grandmothers birthday tonight and for a party of 5 our bill cost an arm and a leg.All was going well until the end when the head waiter had come over asking if the service was good. Without hesitation we said yes despite having a majority of our salad tossed into the bread basket, having to wait a long time for our entrees to arrive, and having to obviously indicate to the waiter that it was time to sing to my grandmother. Long story short the head waiter told us that given the total our tip should have been more. Never in our lives had we been blatantly called out for the lack of amount in tip we put down. Truthfully it makes the customers feel uncomfortable and my grandmother did not need to know the total It was her birthday for crying out loud! We all left feeling uncomfortable and absolutely belittled. Will absolutely not be returning and would not be recommending this place to anyone. You want real Italian food that’s worth the price check out Patrizia’s of Hauppauge. .

First time ordering from this restaurant. The portions were extremely small for "family" style. Ordered the large portions and I was extremely surprised how small the salad and eggplant rollatini were. I'm glad I ordered food from Luso too. The food was cheaper, large portions, and higher quality. Another thing to note, if you aren't their "friends or family", you will be ignored until they are all taken car of even if you were there first. This was my first and last time I will visit.

I really wanted to like this place, it has great décor and really gave the vibe that they cranked out good Italian dishes. What I found was disappointing. The food was bland, and it seemed to me that they are sacrificing quality in order to save a buck. I understand times are tough, but this place is charging top dollar for mediocre food. If you are going to have a cocktail menu, it's best to serve the actual alcohol that people are asking for, not charge them for the name brand and use the rail liquor, oldest trick in the book but leave it to the dive bars. I gave two stars because the service was decent, despite the waiter not having a care in the world when I told him I couldn't eat my food because it wasn't good. My advice for management, if your going to substitute quality to maximize profits you have to lower your prices. I don't think we will be back.

Got food delivered once , it was great. I was so excited to have a proper dine in experience. Everything looked great in the beginning and staff was good.But as food came it was really oily & bad. Being two people we ordered a lot and kinda complained to the server but his behaviour changed and he didn't do anything about it he gave us the wrong dish still he was unapologetic we didn't eat anything & didn't take it to-go.Even though manager/owner was very kind and sweet still it's a request to please look over to your staff & chef. Thanks. Hope to be there soon with better service provided.

Went there for a baby shower,the servers were professional, friendly, treated everyone as if we knew them for years. I love about 30 minutes away and would still be willing to go back for a nice date night. The food was great and they even made a special gluten free dish for my wife without her asking them too (they overheard her say shes gluten free to the table).

No major complaints about the food except that the baked clams were burned on top. However, the restaurant packs all the tables in like sardines, really uncomfortable. Extremely disappointed that we were not told there were no kids meal/portions/prices. There were 6 kids in our party and we were charged $18 each for their family sized pastas. Had we been told ahead of time we would have only ordered 2 for them to share and still would have had left over food. Did the waiter magically forget or gouge us for a larger bill and larger tip? Instead all he did was successfully lose us as repeat customers.

We had my mom's 80th Surprise Birthday here. Food was amazing, service was ridiculously awesome! The waiter we had was truly amazing. Worked really hard to make sure everyone was happy. I highly recommend La Famiglia.

Phenomenal food, service, and atmosphere!!! I had my daughter's bridal shower at La Famiglia in Smithtown and I couldn't be happier. From the moment I booked the party to the day of the event, the staff at La Famiglia put me at ease and reassured me that everything would go smoothly. They were right! The food was outstanding and the staff was attentive and professional. My guests raved about every dish that came out of the kitchen from the appetizers to the dessert. My daughter, the bride-to-be, was happy throughout the entire afternoon. I was proud to have hosted a party at La Famiglia! I cannot praise the staff enough for a wonderful job!! Thank you for making my daughter's special day a complete success!

Our dinner was good but not exceptional. The salad was quite good, but our shrimp were over cooked (great flavor though). Other dishes were good. Solid 4 star. Service was excellent

Was just here on Sunday and what an experience. I've nothing but good things about this place so we decided to try it. I can't say enough about the food. There was an abundance. No one left hungry and I had lunch for the next day. It's safe to say we'll be back. The wait staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean and kept. All in all a great dining experience.

Went there Saturday night Ordered clam, Good flavors but look the breadcrumbs came burned ordered Promodoro Spaghetti was great, Wondered why Italian place but no Lamb in the menu.... Service friendly but just okay! I need second drink, but no server came. Overall was ok But prefer other branch at Babylon

Absolutely my favorite local restaurant. If you are in town it’s a must. Food is fabulous and plentiful. Specials are always different and delicious. Giovani and John could not be more accommodating. The happy hour bar menu is great as well. Food and drink for an affordable price. This place is great for large groups as well. Go and enjoy!

Went with party of 9 for early dinner to celebrate my son’s birthday. Waitress greets us and immediately asks if we are celebrating an occasion. I let her know it was my son’s birthday. She never approached my son or anyone in the party about having a dessert or anything to mark his special day. Why ask if we are celebrating anything? The manager was yelling at a staff member for not getting us water instead of acting professional and quietly bringing the matter to her attention. This same manager was aggressively asking us about dessert with a pen and pad in his hand. Food and atmosphere good, but service lacking!

Be sure to make reservations because this place is ALWAYS packed! The food is delicious and plated perfectly! The best part though is the staff… you never want for anything-I highly recommend!

Amazing! I came here for my birthday dinner today and everything was perfect! Danielle was our waitress and she was great! The food was delicious and everyone left happy. They have a giant birthday sparkler for your dessert order. The veal special was delicious and cooked to perfection! I recommend La Famiglia in Smithtown for your special occasion dinner and just dinner in general. Great food and service!

Tonight I took my family out to dinner and we decided on trying La Famiglia and so glad we did. We just moved into the area and have tried a lot of restaurants and this one is definitely top 3. Our server Tommy was phenomenal and we couldn’t have been happier with his service and wonderful attitude. The owner John came over and welcomed us on our 1st of many visits. As an owner of a business myself if was refreshing to see his employees love their job. Easy to see as they flow through the dining room with great attitudes and smiles all around. One of my favorite restaurants! The food is always top-notch, the service is always spot on, they are clean and friendly. The owner John and manager Giovanni are always so warm, friendly and helpful. My favorite dishes are the gnocchi with Bolognese sauce, The flounder, and so many of their amazing specials. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Attended a baptism in-person and have catered with them in the past. The service & food is amazing and the atmosphere at the restaurant is cozy! The eggplant parmesan, and filet of sole are top notch dishes! Highly recommend for catering or dining in!

I've been here 4 times and I've never been wow'ed but, thought it was ok.. After tonight, I will not be returning for a very long time. Waiter told us the specials and mentioned one that was a stuffed chicken and said it came with 2 pieces of chicken. We decided to order that special, family style for my husband and I to split. The dish came out with one small piece of chicken for us to split. When we said something to the waiter about the dish coming with one piece instead of 2 like he said, he responded by saying that it depends on the size of the piece. This was NOT by any means a big piece of chicken. $40 for that one small piece of chicken and we left hungry. Huge let down.

Delicious family style Italian food. Excellent waiter service. Come with a large group and share many of their fine dishes. Steak and seafood platter was outstanding. All sauces fresh and tantalizing. Can't wait to go back for more.

My family has been in the pizza/restaurant business for 50+ years so I know good Italian food when I have it. We started coming here 3 years ago as a valentine's day tradition and we became hooked! This restaurant is authentic Italian eating at its very best! Not to mention the brothers that own it immediately make you feel like you're family as soon as you walk in. I cannot tell you enough how phenomenal their food is. We are obsessed with la famiglia!

My family was looking foward to eating at the restaurant because we have heard they had great food. When we arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday night, the bar was over crowded and in the dining room the tables were very close together. The room was definitely overcrowded. During our dinner 2 gentleman ask us if they could pick up our table and move it one inch to accommodate a larger party. I was ask 3 times if they could wrap up my dinner while I was still eating! So much for social distancing during a pandemic! They only care about turning over the tables.

We cannot say enough nice things about La Famiglia in Smithtown. Top notch service and attention from the management to the wait-staff and even the bus-staff, incredible food and A LOT of it, with very reasonable pricing! Cheers!

We went to la famiglia to enjoy to our friends birthdays there was 11 of us. We enjoyed the food and the service was wonderful.

Never disappointed with any meal here. Leave room for dessert...pst great summer treat! CJ was our server and he was awesome! We had a large family of 8 with a kid and it was service like it was just me and my wife on date night. Love this place!

If I had to pick my consistently favorite restaurant, it would be this one. And I live in S. Florida! I’ve flown to NY for a party here before. It’s that special. Food is delicious, served family style, and always perfectly prepared. If you ever have a chance, eat here!!!

Kinda expensive but the amount they gave me for the one dish fed 2 people so not a bad deal. My only complaint was the lack of sauce and the sauce itself wasn't much in flavor. I mean it was still good but nothing outstanding.

Very good tasting Italian food! Their service is very good, too. I've been a few times, always on busy weekends. The only consistent problem has been noise; it is hard to have a conversation with the people sitting across from me. It seems they are working on adding sound absorbing materials in the ceiling (quilted fabric, etc).
