I can not get over how Mt Pilchuck Lookout tower is perched on the most pinnacle of places! I knew there was ladder leading up to the catwalk... but I didn't imagine how it's literally at the highest point possible. I am very glad I made the trek up to this peak... I had been putting it off because of how busy it gets. Even so, Mt Pilchuck did not disappoint! Such a magical place to visit. Highly recommend making the trip.

What a hike! Relatively short compared to some bigger peaks but it is a very technical hike. Starts out fairly mild and quickly progresses to log steps, then to lots and lots of all sizes of rock. The last little bit is a bit of a rock climb and ends with a ladder to the deck of the lookout.

The day started out foggy but ended up being perfect once we made it past the cloud line. I love this hike and would highly recommend. For sure a little technical with some loose rock and pretty steep grade but it’s worth it!

Inside the tower, you ll see the history, a description of everything that you can see from the tower and its very beautiful. You can keep your bags in the tower, even plan on a night hike (be careful at the end with the rocks) and plan on sleeping in the tower, wake up for the sunrise and its even more beautiful. The tower is pretty big and can accommodate 4 to 5 people for sleep (comfortably, may be 10 to 12 if you squeeze in) and many more for just chilling.

Great hike to do for a quick day trip! The views from the lookout tower were amazing despite the fog. Would recommend wearing boots to trek through the rock piles along the trail.

Incredible experience! Went with a couple friends and went all the way to the top. A good amount of snow heading up there but the views are absolutely unforgettable. The hike is 6 miles round trip and worth every step. Go out and see this place!

Unfortunately we came later than we expected so we did not hike but we got pretty high even the road is insane 😂😂😂 , the view wasn’t the best because of the smoke or fog. Also we were on a sedan 🚘 do not make our mistake! But still it was fun

This is simply our favorite hike out there. We've done many of the larger and more challenging hikes, but you just cannot beat the reward at the end of this one. This time around we got up early and caught the sunrise. Majestic. Highly recommend everybody. Biggest recommendation would be to bring a good pair of hiking shoes, as it's a very Rocky Trail.

Potholes the size of Texas, 1,000,000 hikers + on the trail, and mosquitoes big enough to suck all your blood in one shot = totally worth it! Yes - it's crowded but do this hike - you won't regret it. #amazingviews
