Outside the building looked old, roomdors where stuck sometimes, and Breakfast was typical Italien, nothing fancy. But it was layn in front of olive trees! And the orange yard behind it! And the walk into town was short. Large parking for cars and for motorbike parking in front of the reception, just drive past the sign that says pedestrians only!

This is a place where you want to experience something different. No TV - this makes you think how it enslaves us and having a day without it - it's liberating. I didn't even bother using Wifi - for the same reason. You're in a 500 year old villa, so act like it. It is part hotel, part commune for troubled children, part recreation place for people with dissabilities. They make their own wine and try to be as independent as possible, grow their own food and such. The rooms may not be ideally equipped, may not be designed well, and the price might seem a bit high at first glance, but it's for a good cause, these kids are building a great thing and I was glad to help. We booked B&B, and here's a few words about that: Be careful in the showers - very slippery - I threw a towel on the shower floor to make it less dangerous. Sleep - I hated the blinking red LED lights of the CO alarm and the green LED lights of something that I couldn't switch off, but that's probably mandatory so I won't complain. Breakfast was typical "european" style, nothing super but a little of everything. One thing I MUST say: most hotels serve you morning coffee out of some coffee machines, some watered-down-instant-brown-soup that you must drink at least 6 cups to get some caffeine kick. Here the girls make you a proper fresh-ground coffee and I only needed 2 cups to wake me up. So all in all - nice place, nice folks, they have a good thing going, I wish them well.

Nice little bar inside the complex. Very pleasant surprise. Everyone spoke English and were courteous. There is a walking path next to the river. This is probably a good place To visit during the summer.

Not only is there a beautiful park, but a restaurant and bar where special events can be held. It works with disabled people and gives them a place to grow through different activities.

Clean room but there was a problem with the water in the bathroom. As it was late and no one was in reception it could not be solved. Rooms are clear and furnished the minimum. Bed was comfortable. The building is very big, seems it could have been a hospital or nursery home a while ago. It feels a bit lonely during evening and night. Breakfast was just regular but people were nice.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay a bit out of the ordinary, with history, a great on site restaurant bar and lovely staff - look no further! My friend and I really enjoyed this place. The garden is a lovely place to spend the evening, it’s very close to the river and a short walk from town.

I love this place so much. What makes it uniquely wonderful is the community. It's like a little bastion of civility and kindness, in a world that needs more of both of those things so badly. If you truly want to be the change you'd like to see in the world, Villa Angaran might be a good place to find the inspiration and strength to start that journey. Every single staff member is extraordinary. I don't have any idea how they FIND all these wonderful people, but the management at Villa Angaran should publish their hiring guidelines so the rest of the HR world can hope to build workplaces like this one.

A unique place to stay, with wonderful staff who are only too willing to help. The rear garden / outdoor bar area is serene.
