The building is a historic landmark with a rich history connected to immigration. It has an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea and its sunsets. It's a great place to go with people and have a picnic or drink some wine in the afternoons.

A nice castle overseeing Caribbean Sea. Beautiful look at the sea. There's a nice restaurant inside. Parking was free. If you're in a hurry, you can skip it and you won't miss a lot

Worth a stop just for the ocean views provided, really stunning. The cliffs give an amazing view of the ocean and waves crashing on the shore. It's really windy at the castle, and you can feel and taste the salt spray on windy days. If you have little children, keep them close as the access to the cliff is unguarded and could be quite dangerous for unsupervised small children. The castle is being converted to a mall and is not presently open. If it does open, would be an amazing venue for the views alone. Highly recommend seeing the castle. The entrance is gated, but admission is free.

One of the best places I have visited lately. Use to go there when I was a kid. Today, the magnificent view of the ocean still intact. A great place to spent a vacation.

It is closed for now but you can enjoy the landscape. There is a restoration inside the building. The landscape is amazing from this height.

This is a great location to visit. The views of the Salgar and Puerto Colombia coast are magnificent. As I understand, the Castle used to be a Colombian Navy post last century, which is now renovated and used for local social events and tourist activities. Its very nice and worth the visit.

It kills me seeing this place in abandonment, so beautiful and rich in history!.....stunning view!

It's a beautiful and historically important site in the department, it was being managed by Comfamiliar and it was a popular venue for weddings and all kinds of events. However, it's currently abandoned but you can still go and take nice pictures. There's no fee but you can voluntarily tip the guard and park your car.

Gorgeous place, the best view around the Salgar (Barranquilla) area, it left me speechless. I went at almost sunset and the view left me amazed, also you get to breathe pure air. I think it’s a please to go, enjoy, sit, have a chat, reflect or do anything that brings you peace. Plus, it doesn’t have an entry fee and there’s free parking too. Loved it!

Absolutely breathtaking! Like no other place 8ve been before. The house is not a big deal it's a colonial Spanish home very typical very average but the site that was spectacular. The wind blows hard enough to knock you over and take all of your problems away. There's tons of room to explore but definitely not a place for hyperactive kids the security there is not the best I mean in regards to railings and such.

It's a beautiful building with a stunning view. The castle was unfortunately closed and the worker said it's opened only in Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays so we weren't able to get in. There were still many staff members hanging inside the building.

(Translated by Google) Despite its restoration, which makes it lose a bit of the natural architecture of that time, it is a place that lends itself a lot for cultural tourism due to its customs port history and everything that had an impact on its economy. (Original) A pesar de su restauración que le hace perder un poco la arquitectura natural de aquel tiempo es un lugar que se presta bastante para realizar turismo cultural debido a su historia portuaria aduanera y todo lo que repercutio en su economía .

It has been closed for the past two years. It is very sad how neglectful local government waste opportunities of offering tourists a place to gather, a place to know and relive history. Has a lot of potential but not with present administration.

Great place for sunset pictures, nice view, very windy, as of July 2022 is under remodel, not possible go inside the structure, other than the building it self there are no shades to rest, so no wise to go at noon.

It is a shame that the castle isn’t open to the public, still it is a great place to visit in the evening after 4 PM and to watch the sunset. It is incredibly windy and peaceful. There is parking on site and on Saturdays after 4 PM there are some street vendors selling sodas and snow cones.

It's a ok place to visit there aren't letting people in to see it at the time so you can only walk around the building to see the ocean and sunset. This isn't a castle BTW its rather small and just an old colonial building
