Fabulous place. It is impossible to do it all in 1 day. It was very expensive but definitely worth it. The sea turtle conservation program is wonderful. Keep in mind it's a lot of walking, so plan your footwear accordingly. Also bring swimwear as there are several opportunities to get wet and cool off.

The Dolphins at Xcaret was amazing. I have never been so close to a dolphin before. We got to go out into the water and swim with them and they let you pet their backs and bellies! It was well worth the money! We had such a good time. Just thinking about it makes me happy. lol

It was alright, my 7 year old lost his marbles and enjoyed it so much! Hard to take pictures if your watching from the outside, meaning you have to spend just as much, if not more, than you paid for the experience to buy pictures! They severely over charge and take advantage of people. I wish they just sold the package with pictures rather than waiting outside the photo building to pic and gather your pictures. A bit of a waste of time, especially at a beautiful place.

It was terrible experience at Xcaret Dolphin. Staff they hid the price of the photo until you are done swimming with the dolphins. If you want to snap pic for your family , they put you so far from the action so they can sell their photos . The price for the activity is about 60$ per person. While the price for the photo starts at 194$ , unbelievable prices . If you complain about the price, right away the price drops to 110$ . The issue here is that visitors they don’t know the prices . I did address it to the manager and his response was if people can’t afford the price they do the discount . One person paid 35$ for one pic and another family paid 25$ for one picture. Again when I told the manager this is scam and he had no answer except that I am rude . 2 over 10 for Xcerat Dolphin and I advise against this activity . It’s just Scamming people thinking if you are visitor you must be reach . Shame on the management and specially that manager who called Customers Rude. I did get response today ,the management explained how friendly to dolphins and protecting them from cameras. And again their response didn’t not answer why they have different prices to different people. And addressing this issue to them made them frustrated and insisting that I am the rude . We are called rude because we catch them and I was not the only one. You can call me rude as much as you want but I will keep blowing the whistle for the rest of my life to scammers.

So desapointed , almost every activity has a cost. Not to mention that they told us that we'll have open bar for food between 12 and 17h . Not at all, you have to chose one restaurant and you got to eat one time , you can't go back either to the same or other restaurant. The installations are nice dough, but I wouldn't pay 180USD for that. I recommend XPlor, or Xavage, it's way better.

I simply loved my experience at Xcaret. It was non stop fun and excitment. We arrived at 8am, and left at 9:30pm, and I guarantee we didn't see everything. Xcaret has all the bases covered. It has something for everyone. We experienced, the underground cave exploration, the was an experience of a lifetime. My girlfriend experienced scuba diving. We took tones of pictures and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend:)

Absolutely enjoyed being in Xcaret, and would visit again. We went for a swim with the dolphins, and really enjoyed getting a chance to swim along these amazing creatures. The park requires a bit of walking, and it can be slippery if it rains, so wear comfortable shoes, and bring a change of clothes just in case. I would not take a bus tour to get there, it left WAY too early, had way too many stops since it had to pick up other visitors who purchased the tour. It also leaves the park VERY late, and you won't get back to Cancun until after dark on a VERY uncomfortable and bumpy bus ride.

Tye park is a good place to visit, however price is a high 75usd + any of the activities you may want to do.. I.E snorkeling in the good area is 40usd and worth it. I would recommend you come ready to get wet, like in trunks and stuff. You waste less time getting out of street clothes. There are some shows that you can checm out. If you are getting wet get there early as the park starts closing down rides around 5pm ish. Over all its a good place to go and have a good time.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had and to share this with my fiancé and my 2 year old was incredible and one I will never forget! We got an amazing deal as they were offering 50% off this attraction on the day that we happened to be going and was wow’d throughout! We paid for this on entry and booked an allocated time slot of 1pm. On arrival we were given a key to lock our valuables in a locker and given a swim vest / float in our sizes. We were then asked to sit and wait for the previous group to finish. This was only about a 5 minute wait. One of the dolphin trainers then called us forward with another 4/5 individuals and we were shown into the water. There’s a ledge that you can stand on which must be about 3/4 feet deep. Our trainer was excellent. She called the dolphin forward and explained what she would like us to do in order to make the dolphin feel at ease. She told us to move our hands in certain ways which made the dolphin splash, swim on its back so we could stroke it’s belly and make it dive downwards and wave to us with its tail. The adults were given an opportunity to swim into the middle and have a 1 on 1 experience with the dolphin. I did see some of groups have the dolphin push the person forward by its nose on the persons feet which looked a lot of fun but we had the dolphin swim around us and jump over us. Throughout the whole experience (30 mins) the trainer would constantly explain the dolphins movements and facts about them in both Spanish and English as our party was mixed. There was a photographer too who took plenty of pictures giving people the option to buy them at the end if you wish. The pictures are expensive BUT do not pay the full price, I was adamant that I only wanted the basic package which was 10 pictures for $100 but once he knew that I wasn’t prepared to pay for more pictures he said ok well for $120 I’ll give you everything I’ve taken. This was a total of 50+ pictures of which they were adverting for over $200 USD. I still think what I paid was expensive but couldn’t have left without capturing this incredible experience. You get to see EVERY picture taken on a screen before you decide whether you want them or not. If you do you get given a card with the agreed price and this needs to be taken to the pay area. Once paid, you are sent a link via email which can be accessed approximately 24 hours after purchase and you then have up to 21 days (I think) to download your pictures via a secure login and password. Ours were ready the next morning and we made sure that they were saved to 3 different devises. We had the most wonderful time in Xcaret and in Mexico in general but this honestly made our holiday! The whole day cost me over $300 USD but even if this was the only thing I did, I would have been sooo happy. Xcaret is amazing... please see my review for the rest of the park under ‘Xcaret Park’. Please go and visit! You’ll absolutely love it!!!

I don't know how I feel about the dolphins in captivity and trained for human entertainment... I did like the speedboat and the live show. Like everywhere else we went, the water is beautiful. The park entrance was included in our all inclusive resort package, so I can't speak to the price. Not all of the excursions are included in the price of getting in the park. The speedboat is $60 per. The dolphins start at $85 per and that doesn't include the pics. There is a lot to do. You can easily spend a couple of days experiencing everything.

xcaret is an amusement park. It is unlike Disney in that many of the attractions are actual unique interaction with nature. But it still feels like an amusement park. We did the dolphin primax. It is a about 2 min of petting a dolphin. And 15 second ride. It is booked for an hour because you are in a group and take turns. Did it feel natural and unconstricted? Nope. It felt like an amusement park attraction. Did I get to swim with a dolphin and ride it? Yep. So I gave it four stars because I expected a highly commercialized interaction with a dolphin and that's what I got.

Review Update (after Delphinus response) The bulk of my review was about their deceptive/shady business practices (the smaller part was about the zoo or circus-like experience). Delphinus took the time to respond (quite in depth), but only about the care of the animals. Quite obvious that humans don't rank - all about the all-important dollar. Original review Disappointing experience As others have mentioned, they are very deceitful in their practices (always trying to up-sell, not up-front about pricing, etc.) They're so proud of having the first successful birth of a dolphin in captivity in Mexico (in something like 2010) - wow, more than 60 YEARS after Spray was born in Marineland in St. Augustine Florida. The dolphins they have, are nothing more than well-fed circus animals - this isn't "swimming with the dolphins", it's bob around in a man made enclosure while they throw food at the dolphin to make it swim close. That really turned me off. The pictures - EVERYWHERE you go, prices are always in Pesos - so you come to expect large figures (18 Pesos to the USD) - so when you see the price, that's where your mind goes (USD is barely visible). If you do get roped-in, they don't process your charge for an hour or so - in my case, I setup alerts for larger transactions, and didn't get the alert until we had left the park. We made every attempt to return the photos and get our money back - no luck... $400 (and $50 in taxes). They say "nothing shiny", but all the trainers were wearing metal-framed sunglasses, not to mention watches, and all the shiny stuff the photographer had. After dropping $75 per person for the experience, they won't even let another "non-participant" in the area to snap a photo. Spend the money on something else (heck, we've had wild dolphins check us out in Daytona, Naples, and Clearwater - that was a much better experience, and free).

Suuuper expensive experience . I can't post any photos as they cost more than 200$ my advise is to refuse to pay the high price but provide your email , they will send you an email after a month selling you the photos for half price 😉 it worked for me but they might change the rules in the future. They should reduce the price as this is something you need to purchase on top of the visit.

I, like many others, feel very cheated. We had a chance to do a similar experience with dolphins at our resort, and I regret greatly we didn't do that there. We would have paid $80 for the same thing + swimming with more than one dolphin, 1:1 in a big pool. Here, you pay $200+ a person and you have 15 min with one dolphin in a large group of strangers!! It's a total rip off. I only did it because it was our last day and I promised my daughter the experience. I really wish we did it at our resort instead, it would have been much cheaper and way more enjoyable and exclusive. I also feel ripped off because although they claim kids under 5 get in for free, you still have to pay $200 for them to get into the dolphin experience with you. My resort would have charged me only for my daughter because they were understanding that it was for her but she couldn't go by herself. It's unfair to make the parent pay when I honestly couldn't care less about being part of this, I only did it for my kid. I'm not even gonna mention the photos, because everyone already said how they rip you off on that. But besides that, it is so rude to make the guests stand there for close to 45 min drenched in water in an air conditioned space waiting for them to put the "offer" together. Especially when there are kids. It's simply not polite. Just sell the dolphin package with all photos for $350 to everyone and stop forcing them to waste time and possibly get sick. 👎👎 If you have a chance to do something similar at your resort or elsewhere, do it elsewhere! We trusted that we would have THE BEST experience at this park given its reputation, and we left "the best for last" and ended up extremely disappointed. Even my 4 year old was disappointed with this experience and she was so excited for it. Because she didn't get any one on one time with the dolphin, there were strangers all around in the group, it wasn't an "intimate" experience with a dolphin at all. It was a rip off. She asked me the moment we left after spending $400, when were we going to swim with dolphins "for real". 🤦‍♀️

Expensive. You pay for your ticket then any activities you want to do inside you have to pay for like swimming with dolphins. If you have a family this will work out very expensive. Overall though a very pleasant day out. Liked it a lot.

  • 2/5 Daniel U. 3 months ago on Google New
The experience is nice, but prices are high and the top packages are definitely not worth it considering you spend most of the time just looking at dolphins instead of interacting with them. Then there is the real SCAM: after spending 150 dollars per person for the highest package (Prime), i had to spend 200$ for the photos and there is not even a video. This is ridiculous.

Great experience. Remember, in Mexico all prices are negotiable, even in XCaret, including tours and the photo packages.

Don't ever visit Xcaret hotel or any related companies. They call you "family" and will nickel and dime you everywhere. They victimize people and steal your time and money! Edit: Your records are clearly inaccurate. I did do the dolphin experience (that part we loved). The hounding afterwards to purchase the photos and the crazy cost was absurd and offensive. Plus the lines for food and drinks (although phenomenal) was difficult to manage with a small child.

Worth the 💰. The late night show that comes with the ticket is absolutely amazing. Alot of wildlife in the park to look at. There is a lot to do that's not extra money. But of course, there is extra stuff.

The grounds are amazing! The food is excellent. You need two weeks to do everything. Room for the kids and a room for the adults. The service also excellent. AMER, LORENA, and ADRIAN gave excellent service. Room service a bit slow, food arrives Luke warm. We recommend to you and will return again.

Dolphins belong into the wild. None of these dolphins came into these tanks voluntarily! Please don’t support this scheme. Animals here are being used solely for profits. This is just horrible !

Me and my wife enjoyed the park very much. When you go, expect a full day, especially if you order from Expedia. Expect to be picked up early in the morning, and the park closes at 9:30 at night. It will be a full day at the park, you can leave early at about 4:00 p.m. if you don't want to go to the show which starts at 7:30 p.m.. if you stay for the show, the show will be about for 2 hours, and it's the best show in Mexico, which gives you the history of how the Mayans came about leading into modern times today. And expect a spectacular ending. Make sure you bring your swimsuits. Take full advantage of all you eat buffets. They have several restaurants everywhere, in addition to gift shops and snack bars. They're all excellent. In addition to a lot of things that you can see and do. So enjoy yourself and have fun. Special note, if you're staying in the hotel and you catch the bus depending on the location the bus ride Maybe quite long. So you may want to bring some snacks for the bus ride. That's due to the ongoing construction they're trying to build up their infrastructure and make it more accessible to everybody. So enjoy and have fun.
