Horrendous behaviour displayed by a woman at event yesterday 5.2.22 yarmey sharif. Kaneez strolled in late but having a power trip. There was a disabled woman with a walking stick and after praying magrib on level2 wanted to go to front, she was assisted by young lady in glasses and picked up a surah yaseen upon returning bk she was stopped and shouted down, confronted by Kaneez and shouted down to leave, there was a handful of women (10ppl). She was told u have a disabled stick u are not welcome. I felt terrible because I have personally seen the young lady cleaning on a voluntary basis attending with the disabled lady. She attends and only occupies herself with her ibadat. She was one of the first to arrive for the event while this lanes woman strolled in later. The young lady explained the walking stick base was clean, they had gone out to attend a call so not to disturb others. There was a rant in urdu which they clearly didnt understand but Kaneez was clearly bullying them while the rest of us ladies watched shocked. The oppressing woman KAneez began her crusade saying she must go and I wanted to intervene so I rang my partner who told me not to get involved. The young lady clearly explained the walking stick was a necessity not a fashion accessory and if there was an issue and disabled people were not welcome thrn she would need to get her to sit and they would go. The disabled lady was forced to stand through this exchange. The young lady proceeded to walk away supporting the old lady only to be told she would be further stopped from attending. There was a family of Arabs who were laughing making firm statement what hypocrites, this is how they treat their own people in the House of Allah, while the lecture was explaining we should not be hard hearted and we should better serve our communities and provide realistic implementable suggestions. There is CCTV footage to corroborate the occurrence. The old lady was fragile, she has had a walking stick for some time and Kaneez attending for jummah has seen this individual but there is this mentality that the mosque is only open to certain individuals. It was heartbreaking to witness💔. I did approach the sister later who said there is a constant tension but she chooses not to challenge the elder kaneez but she was strong and said she would not remain quiet or allow her pointing to the frail aunty to be harassed or bullied and if Kaneez needs to assert her authority then she needs to find a valid reason to approach someone. Her parting words which resonated so deeply in my heart were "she got many deep heartfelt duas". On such a blessed gathering how unfortunate was this! There was a Sikh sister who attended to give me some information about a daycare centre and she left the event gobsmacked. Are these really the kind of messages we want to convey about Islam?i dont think it was acceptable the way Kaneez singled out the disabled lady, or how she spoke abruptly, and even trying to touch the lady. That was a big no!!! Can I please request all attending the masjid to be considerate of each other, we need to uplift and empower each other, we are all facing hidden battles dont be the reason why someone makes dua to Allah because of you oppressing them. Remember your Lord does not forget, He is the Just! MAY Allah put love and mercy in our hearts and give us the ability to be righteous muslims. Amen. We not going to improve our communities if we cant improve our ihklaq and help each other. It's a bleak helpless situation altogether.

The mens toilets are not clean at all and it smells. Compared to green lane masjid the Wudu area and toilets needs improving. There is a lot of innovation being done at this masjid too and this is seen by the lack of diversity in Muslims coming it and it’s mainly full of Pakistani sufis. Quite sad. May Allah guide them because this masjid has so much potential and if they stopped the Sufism and went more into the way of the salaf and inviting people to Islam it would be amazing.

Beautiful masjid, the only thing I would request is they look into repairing the lift. My mother and a few other senior women struggled to go up four large flight of stairs to the women's gallery, one lady nearly passed out she was so frail when she reached the top, she lost her balance and had to be helped into the room

The masjid is a hub of all community activities. It has great prayer facilities and provides an excellent funeral services. It provides a great service to the community and return the community has provided great financial support. It employees young and enthusiastic Imams fluent in English to serve the future generations and not just cater for us immigrants.

Womens area hard to find if you haven't been. Have to walk by work stuffs and coffins on one side. The whole womens area is just old. The carpets look like the same thing used in 70s buses and wasn't clean. The place just wasn't nearly as clean and nice as expected from a mosque. Can't really review the people but they were rude and nosey. Like because you're not a regular they have the right to stare at you even while you're praying.

Islam is fake, this mosque is full of people claiming to be good, pious people but in reality they are jealous, envious and greedy people looking to destroy the futures of good looking, intelligent and pious children.

I was at this mosque recently for a funeral, saddened to see the state of disrepair and lack of cleanliness. Carpets were dirty and ladies toilets were full of dust and cobwebs. Please hire a cleaner and maintain the cleanliness of the masjid, it’s such an important focal point for our community and saddens me to see that you are not maintaining standards of cleanliness expected.

I USED TO PRAY HERE. ALWAYS LOVED THE ATMOSPHERE MASHALLAH. THE THIMG THAT SEEMED ODD TO ME WAS HOW THE IMAM AND PEOPLE WOULD KIMD OF LOOK AT YOU STEREOTYPICSLLY AND AGGRESSIVELY. I MEAN ITS NICE TO SMILE. RECENTLY AN ARTICLE WAS EXPOSED OF THIS MOSQUE DOING FRAUD and making few millions. This is a major sin. You guys need To be careful when donating.

OK, need a major update. Carpets, signs technology etc. I've seen some beautiful mosques and this one is very outdated and degraded. The speaker system wants to pop your ear drums. There is the ringing every time that one imam shouts, why are you shouting? Not sure if it just me but shouting and the ringing ruins the beautiful words of the Qur'an recitation. This place needs to update and soon. Also for some reason they always do things the day after, even when everyone else has confirmed, Especially EID.

Had to attend for a funeral. To be honest, there seems to be some dodgy goings on here. There was a leaflet that said 'zinda peer' which means ALIVE PEER. That's just wrong. May Allah Subhanahutala guide us all.

Despite being located at a fairly busy intersection, the mosque is surprisingly simple to reach thanks to its ample parking lot. The mosque was thoughtfully constructed with impressive architectural features. The mosque's amenities are excellent.

The takers 👶 and liars are gone and the giver remains. Allah is greater! Sons stolen by Waseem Ahmad after coming after me to divorce so wouldn’t have any more children. Left me so traumatised couldn’t trust a man again. Hounded me for 6 years stopping children settling and living anywhere so he could take the rest of the children. Small minds can’t comprehend. Luckily I don’t hide behind an army. Wajid Iqbal got greedy and stole daughters and sons who wanted to be with me but brainwashed them into thinking they weren’t wanted. They called the prophets mad cos they didn’t understand so call me mad. Judgement day truth will be seen! Rajah

Always a spiritual place to visit and amazing how it manages to serve the local Birmingham community consistently. Only downside is parking which needs to be extended somehow!

The madrassa has been a traumatizing experience for me and my children. The staff were extremely rude and controlling to my children. My children would come back home complaining all the time especially about singing nasheeds which is confusing as nasheeds include music and isn't music Haram??!? They barely gave us holidays and had no sympathy on my children as even in the winter when it was pitch black outside and the rain was pouring they had to come for 2 and a half hours. Another example of there cruel behavior is during the summer holidays they had only 2 weeks off of the whole 6 weeks. Even when they gave us holidays (which was very rare) they still made us us pay which confused me and irritates me as the reason they get paid is to teach. One of my daughter has ADHD and found it hard to concentrate. Instead of trying to figure out a way to help her, they made her struggle by sitting down for at least 2 hours and copying down from a text book which she had already completed. They forced my kids to sing nasheeds and memorise them. They made them read Quran out loud, even though they weren't listening to them and when their throats became dry and they asked for water, they refused to give them. Out of the whole 2 and a half hours they had a 5 minute and sometimes less break. I don't reccomnd the mosque at all especially if your child/children have ADHD.

We have been here so many times for funeral sittings. I actually like the atmosphere and interior of the masjid. This marks 1st time for me to read janaza prayer. Speakers need to be a bit more clearer as we couldn't understand what the imam was saying. Bearing in mind ladies have kids who would make much noise. Also there can be some sliders in bathroom for ladies to do wudu. Rest is all good.

An amazing Masjid to visit in Birmingham. Plenty of parking. The abultion and praying area are very spacious. The water, especially in the winter, is nice and warm when performing ritual purification. They have many facilities available for all needs; I.e; funerals, etc. Would suggest they now try and change the carpet as they've had it for over 28 years and it can do with some new flooring.

The history behind this Masjid is a very unique one and the legacy it leaves behind the founder and the one who helped to build it with his hands was indeed a saint and helped millions of muslims and guided them back to Islam the teaching currently is great for classes and kids it would be nice to see this Masjid be a community centre which encourages people from all walks of life to continually to receive the blessing of such place. I would like to see a program which provides free information to each individual on a supportive news and solutions to all unique person who arrives in today's problematic society. I say talk to the youth and see what else one can bring to the table and there is scent of a beautiful fragrance I've never ever seen before frankly who ever has visited this Masjid as surely been blessed no matter who you are for indeed this a hidden gem in the western world Thank you 💕
