4.5-star flavors, 3 star portions. Me and my partner took 3 snacks, 2 starters, 3 main dishes and 2 drinks to get full. As for the flavors, in general it is an outstanding place with creativity, but there are still some parts that can be improved. Highlights: *The plates were very warm when served warm dishes. *The beef tartar was creamy and the waffles were crispy, the texture combo is a delight on the teeth. The ramsons and capers combined perfectly with the fresh cheese, and the aroma pleasantly mixed together with the butter from the waffles. *The oyster is a must try. The seasonings were not strong ans they have preserved the original flavor of the oysters. *The honey lavender butter with the warm bread can be used as a dessert if you don’t want too sweet stuff. Things that can be improved: *The duck meat’s original scents were totally removed, you can barely taste the duck in the dish. Plus the purée served on the side was too greasy and salty, I mistakenly thought it was chilly mayonnaise. *The cocktails were plain in flavors even though we could feel the bartender put a lot of efforts in the recipes.

It’s my third time dining at animo, it has pro and cons but I decided to give my review after I tried all mains and all snacks. Great staffs and warmly service. Ostron and Boquerones are best snack in my opinion 10/10, the ostron is actually the best we had in Stockholm. Biff tartar is served with heart shaped waffles 9/10. Citrusgravad hälleflundra in green curry and coconut cream was surprisingly refreshing, it’s not so curry in mind that’s heavy for the tastebud but rather light and elegant to try, 10/10. The unsatisfactory part was actually the mains. I think the snacks and förrätt is the highlight but the mains didn’t gives the kickass finish for all my experience. I know the mains helps animo to get many awards, but it didn’t meet the expectations. A lot of thought was put into the innovation and presentation of the main course, however, the taste did not exceed or reach the level of the appetizers, which is a bit disappointing. Some entrees had too many flavors paired together without a perfect blend. Looking forward to try more main courses when they have new menu.

Welcoming and friendly staff and atmosphere, with great food as a plus. Recommend a detour.

Beyond brilliant, and deserving of some kind of award. Awesome food and very attentive service. We have yet to find better value fine dining'ish food in Stockholm. I recognise that the flavour profile is bold, and it might not suit everyone. However, if it is your cup of tea, you will not be disappointed. Solid portions considering the reasonable prices. I really have no reservations about this place.

What a wonderful spot! The food was amazing - so tasty and beautifully presented, highlighting the best of Swedish cuisine. The team were amazing and sitting at the bar gave a birds eye view to the work that went in to each dish. Every waiter and chef was so friendly and took the time to explain dishes and wine pairings. Also a great ambiance and playlist! Thank you!

Animo, what a bonker restaurant! It is so good. So extremely ‘Scandinavian’, but I like it! Foods; The snacks are to-die-for, starters went on with the amazingness. The maincourses kept on going in an even a higher pace of taste. Maybe a little too much of concentration and creation of awesomeness in that course. The dessert (combo for two) brought us back in balance. Drinks; Bomb! Gastronomic cocktails. Decent, but young wine list. (We guests should resist the names that desire a decent maturation. Unfortunately we could not, we ‘killed a kid’, as wine nerds say). Service; Super nice, efficient, kind and ‘on there’. Makes the experience complete! Not your regular weekly restaurant, but for sure coming back! 🍷

Excellent service, great food, and good atmosphere. Fine dining, everything tasted great, not super big portions, but we were happy, we got some snacks to begin and then 3 courses each. I had an awesome cocktail tasting cherry, and they absolutely nailed it. A bit pricey but you do get what you pay for. Would absolutely recommend a visit.

Great drinks, Clarified banana good stuff. Very good food. For snacks, was oyster the best. The others where a bit to "mayonnaise" to be balanced. Same with the starters , could have been a bit more refined. Main course , the VM-Duck was great! But now I am being picky. Would absolutely visit again.

Great food, yummy drinks, warmly service, I think it’s the best service I have experienced in Sweden. Unfortunately both my partner and I got food poisoning after, might be from the tartar. Overall, both of us still enjoyed the time at the restaurant very much!

Absolutely outstanding innovative food: great raw materials, amazing taste combinations, a lot of taste and great textures. This was my third visit to Animo and the third time they made my day.

It's not easy to get a table, and that's for a reason. Wow, what a great place. For me, the wine list is actually more important than the food, and boy they did not disappoint. Excellent wines, and FANTASTIC food, and I'm running out of caps lock etc, but my god, THE STAFF! It can't be better with great staff,. They were laughing, joking and just had a good time with us, and that is what I want. This is one of the better places to go to for a great dinner, with your friends.

Food was well prepared and beautiful overall, but a bit aggressive on strong flavors/sauces which overpowered the oyster/veal, etc. Service was attentive, and especially to our dietary restrictions in the group but they forgot a wine we ordered with appetizers and almost forgot another with dessert except we reminded them in time...so some disconnect in communication going on. The simple aesthetic is nice and non distracting from the food and good conversation. Smart they have put the noise dampening pads under the table, it did manage the volume quite well and they turned the lights down once it was full and getting too noisy, which also worked well. Not sure I'd go again given the price range they operate in.

Busy restaurant serving delicious Nordic cuisine. Great flavors but rushed service. Pricey for a rushed 2 hour experience as they have yet another group.

Thanks to this restaurant, and not only this one, I realized in just one short trip that Stockholm has a lot to offer to French tourists, even chauvinistic ones like me. The food was excellent, service was genuinely nice, and the place itself is modern and trendy.

This is a most if you’re in Stockholm. Fantastic food with rich flavours with a modern twist. The chefs has captured the essence of sweden and incorporating it in the best ways of fine dine.

An amazing experience! Very tasty food with fun combinations (that make sense), excellent and friendly service, good wine pairing and an overall relaxed vibe. Warmly recommended and will visit soon again to try some of the other dishes (everything seemed very tasty!)

This place is a dream in both taste and reception. The dearest people take care of you, and delight your evenings here (you'll want to come back) The food makes me think "HOW DID THEY MAKE THAT?", as they combine tastes, smells, textures and expectations in ways that play on things you might have had before, but will surprise and wow you.
