Tonight I ordered chicken wings at Charlie’s which are usually great. My order came and the wings looked like they came from small pigeons & they barely had any meat on them. I said something to the waitress and she acknowledged the small wings due to supply and cost. I would have paid a few dollars more to get better wings. My wife had the BBT’s and they were great!

Food and service was great. Wings were tasty with a nice crisp to them. The top gun sauce is very hot. The parking lot is extremely tight and cars were parked with only inches between them. Was very tough getting out. There are also no free refills on the sodas. We weren't informed of this and only found out when the bill came out. Would of rated 4 stars but felt it was unprofessional not to mention there were no free refills or offer water at the beginning.

Nice dinner. Never sat at the bar before after going there for over 20 years. Bartender worked his butt off. We'll probably sit at a table next time. It was so packed for a Sunday early evening.

Best wings down the Jersey Shore. Good food and a great selection of cold beers. If your in the summers point area, you should definitely stop by Charlies. Great place to hang with your friends or bring the family to.

This place never fails me! Not from the area and came back for a 4th time. Service was phenomenal. Food was amazing. Got mild wings and Mexican cheese fries. Prices are fair and worth the trip! Highly recommended.

Been a few years since we have been here, everything was good. She crab soup was spit on. And the wings are the best.

Wings were good. The mild reminded me of Hooter's wings. My only complaint would be I'm use to French onion's cheese covering the surface of the crock to which theirs didn't. Cash only but they have an ATM located inside. Would return to try some other items.

We had the best wings in OCNJ! Great meal with tasty filet mignon and crab cake dinner! Came back a second time during our vacation as the food was so good. Remember this place is cash only. Prices were very good for the portion you get. Be patient as this place can get crowded but or server was good.

Went for our weekly date night on a recommendation from a customer food was great fresh. Wings were very good and the patty melt was perfect. She crab soup was amazing as well.

No rye Whiskey for a Manhattan. Hard to believe in a full service bar. Cup of she crab soup was more like a tiny 1/2 cup serving with very minimal crab. Tomatoes in the salad were best not served. Bright spot was the server. Definitely not up to past experiences there.

So good! I’ve been coming here for wings since I was little. The cheese fries are so good. They also are cash only. I love this place!

Caution on the chili. It’s good but practically vegetarian with big chunks of peppers and onions but almost no meat. It’s very good, but not meaty. On other notes, the wings are great. If you sit at the bar and order food, the arrangement is fairly bizarre. You can’t run a tab at the bar so you pay for drinks and the order separately from a server, not the bartender. You have to pay for the drinks when they come but not for the food until you’re done (and you pay the server not the bartender). So it’s like the bar and restaurant are owned but different entities. If you sit at a table it’s normal and you don’t pay for anything until you’re done. So service at the bar is awkward but not bad.

A Jersey shore tradition, wings and watching the fighting Phil's. Took mom and company out for a bite. First time having the scallops there and the way the flavors blended together was perfection. Had some crab Mac as well, large portion and good amount of crab. Tips for the shoobs : immediate adjacent parking lot gets filled quick, easier to park across the street in the second lot. Cash on hand is useful but there is an ATM available.

Bartender was cool when we walked in, joking and all. He said we could sit anywhere and when we finally chose a seat away from the bar because I had 2 kids with us, we waited maybe over 5 minutes while several staff members walked by, one mentioning he was bartending the back bar when asked by a patron at the bar. No one acknowledged us and the bartender who greeted us made no audible mention to get a server for a table sat. One staff member finally asked if we had been given menus and provided us with such. When we finally got our server, she was sweet but it didn't seem like there was much urgency to check on our table. Coffee looked watered down and tasted as so. Cole slaw was warm and probably could've been good had it been cold. Fried shrimp was great. Crock of chili wasn't. My youngest started getting antsy and we couldn't get in touch with our server to get our check as she was with another table. However, when we did get our check, we weren't informed it was cash only. It took a bit to get our server to get to our table to pay and I had to bring my son out to get changed while getting him ready for our trip home. Then I was phoned by my other guest to be told we had to pay cash. It was a nuisance going in and out when it could've been resolved in one trip. Overall, I chose this place based on reviews and I can't say that it was all that it was cracked up to be. I don't think my review will make much of a difference but I wouldn't go back based on service, although, I would've given the food another shot.

We live in Florida...but always get our wings when we come up. This will be our last visit here for wings anyway. They changed something. The wings aren't what they used to be. Disappointed. I believe they used to flour toss them, then fry. They used to come out crispy and steaming hot covered in sauce. Bar tender and staff were great. The drink bucket I got was yum but 15.00..too much.

My server was nice, didn't get her name. I wasn't overly thrilled by anything I had. The she-crab soup was nothing but balls of flour and some shells. Very disappointing. My salad was good. I didn't see any other food walking by that looked that impressive.

Some of the best wings around. The tailgun is the best buffalo style wing I've had, and the top gun is hot enough to make your teeth tingle. Lots of other options, too! Be aware, it's cash only. Also, alcohol is charged/paid as ordered, though they do run tabs for food. They have an ATM with a 2.50 charge to use it.

Very well executed buffalo wings. Sauce was on point and the wings were fried to a crispy perfection. We also enjoyed the onion rings quite a bit. Very good bar food friendly atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

Bar food, what I had, was OK but nothing to brag about. Typical sports bar decor. The waitress was a little slow but they were busy. After I went there. I was told they have the best wings around but I did not try them. I would go back and if I did. I would try the wings because they are recommended. It was nice to be in a family owned restaurant as opposed to a chain place.

Great place to go with a group of friends! Everyone enjoyed their dinner when we visited while on vacation. We waited almost an hour on a September Saturday night but thankfully the food was worth it! The she-crab soup was sooo good! We were super impressed by our waitress, she took all 6 of our orders without writing a single one down & everything came out of the kitchen perfect!! Its cash only but they make that very obvious before you're seated!
