Arrived to find bathroom may have been cleaned? Toilet bowl was not cleaned, took 3 flushes. Soap dish still had soap residue (I rinsed that off). The rest of the room seemed cleaned. Couch is cute but not very functional if you need to spend much time in the room. Because of the location of the bed's "headboard (there isn'tone)," when the room above you flushes you plainly hear the water run through the pipes in the wall, which can wake you up in the night.

Nice, central location to all of Somerset. We did have an issue with room 412 with an obnoxiously loud mechanical noise that even shook the walls. I believe it was the ice machine. So, at 1:00 am, we called the front desk and were immediately moved to another room on the same floor. Special thanks to Jan for making that happen so fast. Other than that, great place to stay, great staff.

Very nice looking hotel. Very friendly staff. Clean room. Extremely noisy from the room above. You hear every step the person takes. Unfortunately for us, there was a toddler running and jumping. Woke us from sleep twice. A call to the front desk stopped the running toddler for about a half hour, then back to running and jumping. This hotel must have wood floors instead of concrete. I have never heard noise like this in a hotel before.

Overpriced compared to other hotels in the same area. There was no complementary breakfast as other hotels have. For the price you pay one would think you would at least get that. Coffee was horrible. Wasn't given any information on what the password was for the wifi. The only good thing is the shower. Toilets heights are for kids. Can only hope they rebuild the Best Western very soon.

UPDATE: After a 2nd attempt to get my funds refunded, I spoke with the Somerset Courtyard by Marriott Manager, Carena (Sp?). She graciously refunded my money back to my card and I should see it hit my account soon. I appreciate the customer service. Thank you Carena! ORIGINAL POST: Marriott is hard pressed for money! My vehicle stopped on me and my wheelchair bound son on our way back home to Indianapolis, IN. Our vehicle was towed to Don Franklin Chrysler in Somerset from Mount Vernon, KY. I made an emergency reservation at 10am at the Courtyard Marriott in Somerset thinking my vehicle wouldn't be ready and we'd have to stay in unknown surroundings until after the New Year. I called to cancel the reservation just a couple hours later explaining the situation that our vehicle would be ready after all. Marriott is still charging me for the 3 night reservation. Under the circumstances, you'd think they would just void the reservation. Enterprise car rental did, because I made a reservation with them at the same time this morning. What happened to Customer Service. I guess Marriott needs the money.

I stayed here during the KBA basket convention. It's right next door to The Center where the event was held. Literally, the equivalent of crossing a crosswalk and a few stairs, or you could walk around the front to avoid steps. Reception staff were very friendly and were able to meet every request and answer all of my questions. Swapping out my ice packs daily and accommodating a late checkout on my last day of class. The room was perfect, clean, super cute, cozy, complete with kureg using k-cups (so I had my own k-cups coffee with my own heavy cream in room) a good sized dorm fridge for all my cold pop, insulin and snacks. A microwave for my before bed popcorn snack. I had a king bed super comfy. My only, and very slight complaint, was the air conditioning was a bit noisy. The bistro food was awesome had the breakfast Burrito, egg sandwich and the eggs your way when I had breakfast. The burrito being my favorite! One dinner was the burger and fries. Mia was so sweet to help me settle in the comfy lounge area to eat. I do wish the counter had some kind of bell or something to alert staff when your waiting. When you go to the counter to order food, it's not like someone is just waiting for you and it can take a bit before someone notices your standing there. Not a huge thing, but would have liked to have a way to communicate I'm waiting to order. Overall everyone was very friendly, helpful, accommodating and attentive. I had a very pleasant and fun stay and look forward to my next visit!!!

Hotel has VERY COMFORTABLE beds, very large showers, very cold A/C, ample parking, very friendly staff, and delicious bistro selections. The computer in the business center is useless because it needs several updates to browsers to access websites so that's the only downside. It's a top choice to stay in Somerset!

Searched Marriott bonvoy website for a room in Corbin KY, got sent 40 miles west into the middle of nowhere and way off course before I realized, and just went with it. But room was better than average. Most parking was behind hotel and long walk to front entrance. Didn't look at fridge or safe, and didn't try restaurant, and no free breakfast here. Bathroom was better than avg and appreciated the shower mounted soap dispensers actually being full, previous 2 weeks of Marriotts on extended trip shower dispensers were empty at both Marriotts and could not get them filled by staff. Very difficult to get back to I75 from Somerset. Good mattress probably due to low usage in rural KY.

We just visited this location this weekend and paid $230/night of hard earned money. The location was great and it is esthetically pleasing. However, for this amount, there was no complimentary water, snacks, nor continental breakfast. We bought 2 waters and a snack and that was an additional $12. The front desk attendant was less than enthusiastic and I understand it is hard to work weekends (nurse of 31 years) but you are in the hospitality industry....make your guests feel welcome!! Our room was a King suite room and the bed was absolutely horrible. We awoke this morning feeling sore and not rested at all. We can't wait to get home to rest. I think Mariott can do better!!!!
