For New Jersey this is a good quality Cantonese restaurant. Considering the geographic location I give a 4-star rating. The dishes were light in oil and salt, and everything was flavorful and well prepared. The portions were solid. Dimsum has limited options on weekdays, but they are good in general. And this is one of few locations constantly getting better over time!

I live about an hour from this restaurant, but l happily make the drive here when I can, especially for special occasions. I don’t even know where to start. The service, food, ambiance, and overall experience are top notch every time. The food is so consistently good, and every dish is prepared well. I especially love coming here for dim sum - every dish is so flavorful. The owner is Cantonese so the food is extremely authentic and reminds me so much of home. I highly recommend this place for anything from dim sum to dinner!

I first came here a few years ago when the restaurant only had a small main dining area. I went back last week and was surprised to see that they had remodeled the space and opened up a large dining area in the back! I'm excited for them to serve more people! I love that they serve dimsum all day long and have a large selection of classic Cantonese dishes Ambiance - open layout - plenty of light from windows - lots of seating Service - attentive staff - food came out fast Foods I had to get my fave trio of dim sum: turnip cake, soup dumplings, beef cheung fun! Everything was well seasoned and flavorful! I could eat 2 orders of turnip cakes by myself but I held back to let the rest of my family try some Sauteed Silver Anchovy: fried anchovies are now my favorite! They were super crispy and paired so well with the Chinese chives and crunchy white vege ( not sure what it was but it was delicious!) Pecking ribs: I've loved this dish all my life and again these hot the spot. These are Sweet and tangy! Steamed chicken ginger and scallion: this is a classic dish that I always order if I can find it on the menu. The chicken was a bit too salty for me but maybe it's because I didn't have a bite with rice. I love that this dish is so simple and lets the chicken flavor shine! Overall, this place had some of the best Chinese food around and I'll be back to try some new dishes!

They are less packed for tables than I thought, it would be more efficient if they packed more tables in I think. Food was dim sum focused and they were okay but often bland and needed either salt or pepper or spicy oil. Lunch specials were a good deal, we had the Peking pork chop which was sweet and a little sour, not too bad. The hot and sour soup however needs a lot of work. It was far too sour and not enough white pepper inside. Overall I've had much better at Jing Fong for about the same cost.

Great Cantonese dinner place! There are some good Cantonese restaurants that have good dim sum brunch but not very good at dinner menus, so I would definitely come back to try more dishes! This time we ordered roasted squab, it is not quail so rarer which means more expensive, $28 a whole, tastes very authentic! Lobster sticky rice, this dish point is not the lobster, if u want to eat lobster better order other dishes, such as ginger scallion lobster. The stir fried sticky rice they made are really good, dry not greasy and aromatic, I can just eat the rice without the lobster. The best dish I like this time is their 椒盐排骨 (salt & pepper pork chop? Lol) I ve tried a lot similar pork chop dishes in all the north Jersey Cantonese restaurants, this one is the best, tender and flavorful, garnished with fried garlic, a must try! They also have one person portion of soup, I ordered ginseng black chicken soup for $10, I don’t know why there are two white feet in there though, there are dry scallops in the soup too, ingredients volume is good!

This is my old review but somehow the link on map changed. I came here very often for authentic dim sum with very fair prices when I lived nearby years ago. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants the authentic dim sum. Just a reminder: it’s less busier if you dine during weekdays instead of weekends. Parking is free if you park on the streets by the library building, which is at the triangle block, see my marks on the attached screenshot.

Best dimsum spot in the entire tri-state area. We are from Somerville, and we have been going there for dimsum for the past 8 years. We had recommended them to all of Chinese and American friends, and now it is THE dimsum spot for all our dimsum gatherings. Every single item they serve is good - can’t go wrong.

They brought tea and peanuts without us having to order, very good move made us feel at home immediately. Food was good but not prepared the way I’m used to. Got a slightly pushy feeling like they wanted us to leave immediately after eating asap even though they weren’t closing yet.

Food is quite good here. Definitely more traditional Chinese than American Chinese. Service, not so much. We were a table of 2, out of 3 other tables. Took way to long to place our order and get any kind of follow-up service. At one point I literally had to start waving my arms in the air for 4 minutes before any servers noticed. I would go back, but would not expect good service. The food is worth it

Authentic food and good service. One minor issue is the wait-list is unorganized so you may be seated after someone came later than you. But the line is short so there isn't much difference.

They don't take Amex. I ordered 干炒牛河 Beef Ho Fun (dry) to go. It's very tasty, but missing some 锅气. And the chef put too much oil.

How restaurants change over time?? We went yesterday to eat with some friends and starting that the waiters can’t seem to understand you, so if you ask for something be certain, as if you ask for an exclamation they will mostly not tell you. Food in past times has been good, but not yesterday, some shrimp in a lobster sauce, tasted like nothing, a pork roasted, no sauce or whatsoever to accompany the dish, just like eating fried chicken of pork. As in general, not a very good experience of a place that has been good before

This is a very popular Chinese restaurant in downtown Somverville, NJ. The food is Cantonese style. It is one of the best places in town to get dim sum. It is hugely popular over the weekend. The restaurant has recently expanded into the space next door. Food quality is good. Staff is decently good. On my recommend list.

Amazing food! Definitely one of the more authentic Chinese restaurants. Sure they have things like General Tso’s chicken but the majority of the menu is comprised of very different, exotic options. It’s a little pricier than the usual but you get what you pay for, large portions and great food.

I liked it and will definitely come back. The food wasn't knock-your-socks-off but it was authentic Chinese food. I'm not saying there isn't a place for American Chinese take-out, but it's nice to have the option to have the real deal without having to drive into Manhattan.

Wasn't really too happy with the Kung Pao chicken. I've had much better but wanted to try a different place today. I ordered the KungPao for lunch and was shocked to find out it was almost $12 for a small dish and white rice. I didn't get the soup but it does come with two options of soup. Don't think it's worth the price at all! Seems almost everything on their lunch menu is over $11. Little absurd if you ask me.

I used to like this place a lot. During covid, I made sure to takeout from them in order to support them. But they changed. Quality is not the same. Last week I ordered the seafood nest. When I got home, I only got the seafood, no nest. We called to tell them. They said they ran out of it. But they charged full price of the food and didn’t even tell me during pick up about it. So I paid full price and got half food. I thought it was pretty dishonest attitude. Not going back!

Nice place for Cantonese food experience. The food is really good and they have a great selection. Make sure you have an idea of what type of food you want to have if not is better to ask for details because you can easily pick the wrong thing and skew your experience. Another good thing is that you can bring your own drink. A red wine is always well serve to properly digest, but once again depending of your choices.

We had a party of 9 last week. the menu in general are at least 50% more than other restaurants for the same kind of food. Apart from more expensive, it was not tasty. The pigeons we ordered were skinny, tough and not roasted well. Beef “chow fun” was terribly hard, taste like not fully cooked, not to mention every dish, not one were acceptable let alone good. Service was slow, had to wait a long time before food was served. All in all, a terrible and unpleasant experience there. Will never go there ever again

The dim sum cart ladies were super pushy. Once we saw the items and one of us said "no thanks" or "we had this already", they would ask if we really ordered already or say that the food is fresh (I would hope so). The beef Chow Fun had no wok hak, the bean sprouts and beef were way undercooked. My family and I haven't been here in awhile, so don't know if mgmt changed. Service and food used to be so much better.

We went for dim sum which is served only from 12pm-3pm. I thought the pricing was very fair also, we tried many dishes and even re-ordered several of them (there were 5 of us, so some things we ordered double of at first), the bill worked out to about $25 per person with soft drinks. We were very impressed! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! Standouts for us were the turnip cake, pork buns and shrimp dumplings, but everything was very tasty and very fresh!! Can't wait to go back for dim sum again!

Came in for lunch while I was in the area and really enjoyed it. Split some dim sum items and also nabbed a wonton soup. Shrimp dumplings, beef rice noodles, sticky rice with pork, soup dumplings, short ribs with black pepper sauce, and shrimp with pea shoot dumplings. Everything was great. I was craving a good shrimp dumpling and all of the fillings that had shrimp were spot on for me. I'm even pretty sure the wontons were a pork/shrimp mix. Prices aren't bad, maybe a little mid-to-high, but food was really delicious.
