Like many great places, sometimes you just stumbled upon them. We were visiting a family member in the nearby hospital and were starving. We stopped at the closest place which was Prima Pizza Kitchen. Their pizza has a great crust on the bottom layer, and the top is just cheesy, tomato goodness. We also ordered the ziti and meatballs and the eggplant Parmesan. They were both super delicious and authentic. In addition, the portions were pretty generous. I would highly recommend this place if you like fresh ingredients and really yummy pizza! There are plenty of tables to either eat in or dine out. There is with her accessible parking, as well as restroom facilities.

This pizza is AMAZING. I even ate it the next day, cold and it was still so delicious. Hot and fresh pizza is generally pretty good so a true test is cold, out of the fridge the next day. The crust is the perfect thickness to be satisfying, thick enough to hold the pizza that you can grab it and hold with 1 hand but thin enough that you're not eating all dough. The sauce is rich, flavourful and very garlicky. We got the Sausage and Broccoli Rabe pizza which was so so good. The broccoli rabe was a perfect pairing to the sausage, which was savoury and not too spicy and not too sweet. The Champlain pizza is a winner of the best pizza in central NJ, rightly so and don't let its simplicity fool you, it highlights the sauce, cheese and crust perfectly. You must try this place.

Came in Saturday with a good friend after knowing about this spot for awhile and heard nothing but fantastic things! The pizza was phenomenal and the service was absolutely great as well. Jerry, the owner was absolutely the best! We definitely appreciate it Jerry and we will be back! 10/10

Now...I live in town and so many people I know love this pizzeria. So when my regular place was closed I gave it a try. Good stuff: The people were nice and apologized when I had to wait past the promised time for my order. The meatballs on the pizza were delicious. Not-so-great stuff: There were mushrooms on my pizza when I didn't order any. No big deal for me...could be a problem if you have allergies. It's just too overdone for my taste. I love to eat the crust...but this crust was burnt. (See pics) Some slices didn't have much cheese at all. (See pics) Now...I know tons of people looove this pizzeria. So maybe they just make a pizza that isn't my thing. If I end up ordering again I would probably request not so well done and maybe some extra cheese. Thought people who like a cheesy bie with a nice chewy crust thinking about ordering might want that advice. :)

I take pizza eating seriously. Prima takes pizza making far more seriously. There's no shortage of celebrated pizzerias in the area so the palate is well-travelled..this is the best pizza you can get around here. Their plain pie is killer and the eggplant marinara is inexplicably good if you want something new. Subs are great and generous, too.. Thankful for their good food and hard work!

Ordered a large pie. Half meat lovers, half buffalo chicken. It was delicious Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

My view is you judge a pizza place based on their plain pie but going to go against the grain here. I prefer another local spot if I’m getting plain but really enjoy Primas specialty pies. Vodka pizza (recommend extra sauce, which is easy to request in slice app), drunken grandma and cheesesteak are all excellent. Those are the ones we’ve tried so far, that is. Crust is nice and crispy, and appropriate thickness so the slices aren’t a mess given the toppings. Unsure what they do different for the drunken grandma crust, it seems like they coat the bottom with olive oil before cooking. It’s really good, just a different style than the others we’ve had their. The cheesesteak pie comes with mushrooms but you don’t really taste them; my wife doesn’t like mushrooms but doesn’t mind them here. I recommend adding on banana peppers!

I almost want to write a bad review to see what Jerrys response will be. Lol. In all seriousness this is one of the best pizzerias I have ever been to. The pizza and the food is always good and always consistent. You can bet your house that you will walk in and Jerry(the owner) will be making pizzas and you have to respect that. Keep up the good work
