A stunning Nature Reserve! One of the best in Lebanon! Amazing green woodlands full of oak and pine trees, the smell of Sage and Zaatar spread a cool sensation all way hiking. Lots of birds songs also. There is a remarkable archeological site like a rock-cut of St.John hermitage and chapel dated to 12th century. Guys at entrance were so nice and helpful

Relatively easy hike. The trail is very nicely done (easy to follow) and passes through some very nice spots and historical areas. You can find beautiful spots for short breaks and if you go post winter season there's a river at the bottom of the valley. The hike is a 7 km loop with a series of roman stairs in the end so be prepared for that. Highly recommended and definitely worth the visit.

A perfect place to hike with the friends or family, the greenery is stunning. They have many trail, 4, 6, 8 or 10KM.

Kfarmashoun - bentael . Jbeil . Bentael, in the Phoenician language means God’s home (Beit - EL). This village dates back to the Phoenician era. We start our hike from Kfarmashoun village and walk until we reach Meshehlen village where two old historical churches, Mar Edna and Mar Semaan stand and tell about the area's history. The hiking was medium to hard.

Beautiful nature and peaceful place. Costs 5000 L.L for entry. The map they gave us was very bad.

Some really nice hiking tracks, although you can hear the tree-cutting from the mountains around. Historical sites on track makes it feel like sightseeing while hiking. Fresh air and a nice nature escape.

Ohhh great place to hike

A well maintained and managed reserve. How said to hike or visit a reserve you have to ride for hours and go to mountains, the Bentael Nature Reserve is situated 10 Minutes drive from Jbeil. Looking a for nice hike with some activities this reserve is recommended
