Loved it. Cool place to take nice pictures with animals. Clean and neat . Dangerous for kids to play on playground as it’s not m’entraîne at all , too sad for that. Minimum refreshments available for purchase. Toilets are clean . Parking is free but some individuals will try to take money fromyou , report it to cash point March 2022 giraffe is not any more in the park, it’s dead :((((

On a recent trip to Hammamet we booked to visit Friguia Park through Tui. With transfers via coach it cost 90dinars per adult and 45dinar per child. We spent 3 hours here which was plenty as the zoo is not huge and the time was enough to have seen everything there. Lions, lion cubs, hyenas, tortoises, elephants, a zebra, fennec foxes, monkeys of various sorts, porcupines, reindeer, antelopes, and more in spacious enclosures and all look well cared for. Contrary to previous reviews the staff do NOT hassle you for tips by forcing food into your hands. There was a member of staff at the buffalo handing people leaves but walking away once they did and the same at the reindeers. Politely offering the chance to feed them without asking for money in return. There is a small shop on site offering various gifts which are extremely cheap compared to shops elsewhere. Food and drink is again cheaply priced. 1.5l bottles of water for 2 dinar (53p) and same for most snacks between 2-5dinar. Don't miss the sealion show, it's roughly 15minutes long and entertaining for all. All in all this is a great little excursion, couldn't fault the staff and this park had everything to make a nice day out. 5stars*****

Excellent experience. Plenty of animals including the cats. I would advise them to make the feeding time more obvious. Still since Covid the place is less lively and you can feel some animal are less healthy than before. Hopefully it gets more visitors soon with summer season.

Great place to go with the family, seal show was really good. Animals all looked well fed and cared for, unfortunately we didn't get to see the giraffes. Lots of shaded areas around the zoo to cool off. Took us about 2 hours and cost about 50 TND for a family of four.

I don't like that the lion's in small cages they look miserable and angry there's no water and not enough food i guess beside the hyena looks like he's going crazy he looks very depressed and the bear he's eyes are red and he's blinks a lot and waitingfor the people to trow him some he most be hungry. And there's no restaurant for food only water tea cafe and juice ...... and the pig's looks like they're in a very bad shape. ........ I think there's not enough care for the animals in this zoo .

Good overall experience in this mini zoo. It's definitely worth the trip to go there. Many local and exotic animals, many small kiosks where you can order refreshments, and a good restaurant. The seal show was entertaining (the 13:00 show in particular), but the seating area is in open air, so you might want to check the weather forecast ahead of your visit). The nice sculpted figures and seats on the premises add a special touch of art to Friguia. PS/ Actually, the little (natural) shade means that many animals will keep to shady areas when it's hot. What a pity!

A great place with many wild animals. I really liked it, because it's build different than the zoos in Europe. It may be hard to get there, it's situated in kinda middle of nowhere, we have chosen taxi. There are sea lion shows at 10 am, 1 pm and 3 pm. Your children may also ride a horse and all of you can ride a camel, only for 5 Dinar. To visit the whole zoo 2 hours is enough, but if you want to do it really slowly it should take maximally 3 hours. In 2023 one ticket cost 15 Dinar. I highly recommend it to everyone.

We got here by taxi which was 100 dinar. (£25 which is very good) tickets to enter was 15 dinar per person. Roughly £3 Zoo its self is good the tigers/lions part is brilliant its a bridge over looking them so you can actually see them. Animals looked well cared for. Maybe a bit more water needed for a couple. Took around 2 hours to walk around. a few cafes and toilets dotted around.

(Translated by Google) Park with a great diversity of animals we went there in March we were practically alone to wander in this park of several hectares. Certainly the park deserves to be maintained and certainly restore in view of the comments describing emaciated and sick animals I have seen nothing like it !! on the contrary, the animals are in good health and meticulously followed to discuss them with the park veterinarian, who kindly gave us a guided tour of the clinic and then see the crèche where the crocodile lion cubs were found, great diversity thanks to him !! The whole concept of the zoo is good idea. Inside everything look nice, but it's not worth the trouble to get there. It was very hot when we arrived at the Friguia park. Most of the animals you can't see because they hide in the little shade. The space where the animals are is to big, but the shade is only in the corners of the wall because of that you can't see the animals. They are far from you. It's probably better when it's not summer and very hot.

Nice animal zoo, liked the sea lion show at 10 am, Jirrafe unfortunately not there, i was told that she has died. Other animals, lion, monkeys, tigers, elephant, and others ..are there n in ok shape. For a 15TND adult, n 10 per child. It would be a very nice visit. Aim for weekend as other school group will probably be present adding more social atomspere.

The zoo looks like its glory days already gone. Everything seemed in rather poor condition - maybe it’s because we were off season and there were no more than 10 guests in total, or maybe because of 40 degrees heat. The animals were hidden in corners or not visible at all. Seems like they had no water because of water shortage in Tunisia.

Friguia Park is a former private animal park opened to the public a few years ago. It is designed in a circle so you can go around and visit every station without getting lost etc. Its what you'd expect with a decent restaurant and food stalls very frequently. It was great to see white tigers here. Definitely check it out if you are visiting Hammamet, Tunisia. Also, the Sea Lion show is brilliant.

The animals are kept in horrible conditions. The cages were very small and over packed, some of the confinements were so dirty they emitted a very bad smell. Service was surprisingly good and cheap. But 2 stars because of the animal cruelty.

Not the worst zoo I've ever seen but definitely makes those who are against zoos seem a lot more believable and sensible. Many animals appear malnourished and enclosures are too small for most. If seeing animals in captivity bothers you, don't go. I left thoroughly depressed and a strong anti-zoo supporter now. One thing that really irked me. People throwing things at the animals. Clearly, the barriers and fencimg are to protect the animals. Not the visitors.

It was an OK place. Saw a few animals. For extra money you could take pictures with some of them (depending on the animal, for example giraffe was 10 dinars, lemurs 10 dinars aswell, turtles 2 dinars) there were also kangaroos that you could take pictures with. The seal show was alright, but nothing too special. I would take an umbrella with me if I went there again because the sun really fries you there. The national dance show was the best part of it, but it is not always included with excursions. My excursion did have it and it was worth it, very nice dancing. I have to also add that there were no exit signs so we didn't really know for how much more we have to walk for. Ended up asking the workers for the exit and had to walk fast because of the limited excursion time and we didn't want to get lost.

What an amazing park. One of the best if not the best we ever experienced, and we ve been to many parks and zoos around the world. A big variety of animals ( white tigers and lions too!!) and you can get very close to them. You can feed them and you seem them really in their almost natural environment. The african construction style and the music and dance animation of south african artists. In friguia, you can spend an amazing day. Our day was a big pleasure for our kids but for us too and we definitely recommand Friguia to everyone. Go there and feel the african wildness.

Nice place with a lot of “voluntary” extras. In “” because they tell you to go closer and take a picture and after taking the picture, they ask 15-30DT. Overall we had a great experience, it wasn’t busy at all (off season) and prices were fine. DO NOT buy tickets in advance. Tickets in local DT cost 3 times less than in advance through agency.

A place where you can spand a whole day with your family or/and friends. They don't have lizards and snakes. For every interactivity with animals (feeding the lemurs, the giraffes, the deers) you are charged. There are no souvenirs (tshirts, magnets), only bazaar stuff. The tribal music and dance are awesome. There are many places where you can refresh youself with a cold soft drink.

(Translated by Google) Very nice zoo! The site is very clean. This is the opportunity to approach animals from a good distance! On the other hand, meerkats should be safer because we can touch them and we see that they are used to asking for food ... Besides, their enclosure is full of wrapping papers, cans. The felines are on the other hand a little thin, and we can see that they are bored ... The most is to be able to take pictures with the sea lion, giraffes, lemurs and especially now the lion cubs !!! To do, especially since there is nothing else (Original) Zoo très agréable !

(Translated by Google) A magnificent park but neglected, poorly maintained and relatively abandoned. Far from the golden heyday a decade ago, and the beginnings of the park some twenty years ago. I recommend that visitors bring their own meals as most of the snacks are closed, and the snack bar which was open in January 2021 does not offer a large selection or good quality of "dishes". There has been no longer the Dolphinarium for several years, no more shows by African folk troops or African themed restaurants and the total absence of animation and life. And the number and diversity of animals has unfortunately greatly decreased over time. Really a shame to find the park that I have not visited for a long time in this state. However, there is still the spectacle of sea lions, always nice and pleasant to see, and the paying photos with lion cubs (exorbitant price), giraffes and lemurs. There is also a mini amusement park for children. Despite everything, the park is still a place to visit and where to walk, with beautiful green spaces but still many large unused or abandoned spaces, which is quite sad.

Really nice zoo with lots of animals to see, plenty of food and drink kiosks at reasonable prices as were souvenir stalls. The Sea lion show was entertaining, and staff were knowledgeable and genuinely cared for the animals they tended to. We found 2 hours to be a good amount of time to get round and see all the animals, we were part of a coach trip concession from our hotel so we had a 2 hour time limit. The white lions and tigers are really stunning. Would have given 5 stars, but some staff tried to put feed into the childrens hands for a tip or cost so I'd warn against taking anything as it's never for free. That being said, I happily paid 10 dinar per child for amazing photographs and feeding experiences with the giraffes!

For a zoo that charges £5 for an adult and £3.50 for a child this is a must do experience. There are numerous opportunities to have your photos taken with loads of animals for the price of £3. For a family trip I can't wait to return to Tunisia to be able to repeat this experience.

The park itself is ok but I'm not sure that the animals are cared for with expertise handlers as they should be. It was lovely to see the lion Cubs and I like the way the park walkways were above the enclosures. Plenty of clean toilets and refreshment stops. The shop was great value, especially on leather bags. Very nice staff too. The show tent was amazing as were the dancers, African dancers and music was brilliant and the Tunisian was good too, especially the man with pots on his head!! Food was mediocre but edible. All in all a great afternoon out.

DO NOT GO PLEASE do NOT go there, all the animals are starving and hurt. A monkey alone in a cage punching his own head in terror, skin on bones lions, lifeless tigers, ostrich was following us by the fence to get some grass fed to her, the porcupines all have a bare rear, even the guinea pigs screamed and squeaked at us to get fed. The hooves of the donkey is so overgrown he can’t even stand properly and the other one has a super tight rope around his face that clearly hurts him. Not to mention the sea lion having pink lesion (open wound) around tail and body. I cried halfway through the zoo. A SHAME PURE CRUELTY, THE ANIMALS WOULD BE BETTER DEAD THEN TO LIVE LIKE THIS

The park itself is open zoo: you can pet feed some of the animals. Great for the kids and adults. There is a fish spa here for 10 dinas you get 15 mins and the dishes will remove dead skin from your feet. The tiger is massive compared to the ones in the UK and very beautiful. The cheapest place for drinks is the restaurant. They sell drinks at the entrance as u come In and the guy charges you 3 dinas for a can of pop but you can get a glass bottle for 1.50 in the restaurant. The restaurant is very limited but to be fair your not really going to sit down and have a meal. Camel ride is 3 dinas so very cheap. There is a monkey that is worth while seeing and is hilarious. At 10 there is a seal show however the sign says seals and there was only on seal, which was good but would of been better with more seals. Overall I would recommend the park 😊 but would suggest improvements In the toilets, consistently charging the sale prices throughout the park and a map or a guide given upon arrival.

We were there with a tour group so didn't have much time. I would recommend a taxi there, it doesn't cost much and you can take your time. You need them too. We could have spent the whole day there! (Original) Toller Tierpark! Wir sind auf Kamel, Pferd und Esel geritten, haben eine Giraffe gefüttert, einen Strauß angefasst und ein Bussi von nen Seehund bekommen. Die brauch man auch. Wir hätten den ganzen Tag da verbringen können!

Well we are out of season, so can't expect everything to be tip top. There was a selection of African indigenous animals and also some rare white tigers. The pens lacked a bit of maintenance and need some TLC however, when the entrance fee is about 3gbp. Our taxi, who waited 3 hours, was 70dinar, around 22gbp. It's worth a visit but don't expect European standards. There are toilets dotted around, a kids play zone and a couple of restaurants and snack bars (they were closed this time of year). Go visit. They need the money and it's worth seeing these animals up close.
